While many of us may have abandoned the blooming onions and unlimited breadsticks, well, some fast casual chain restaurants are making a comeback. We have a look at which ones are on the rise and which ones are not. By the Numbers with a 56% value increase this year, Texas Roadhouse is the fastest growing restaurant brand in the world. That's according to brand finance. Olive Garden is enjoying upwards of 11% growth and a moment of TikTok fame. More than 1.8 billion people have checked out hashtag Olive Garden for their never ending pasta bowl deal. Outback Steakhouse is growing steadily in the US. But it's huge in Brazil, where sales jumped 61% in the first half of the year. And Fondue Stalwart melting pot is revamping 90 of its restaurants and looking to open up to 30 more locations. Betting cheese dipped everything is ready for a comeback. But it's not all good news for the standbys of the 90s. Applebee's is closing up to 20 locations this year, and hooters remember that. That's fallen from a peak of 430 locations to 308 this year. Red Lobster reported more than $15 million in losses late last year, and with fewer than 100 locations left, sizzler has nearly gone extinct.
