If you could describe Diddy in one word, what would it be?

[00:00:08]

Mogal. Hey, Diddy.

[00:00:13]

Hustler.

[00:00:14]

Okay, Diddy out. Omnipresent.

[00:00:16]

Broken.

[00:00:19]

One of the most influential figures in American music, Sean Diddy Holmes. Now at the center of a federal investigation into what sources say is sex human trafficking. He's also facing at least seven lawsuits and many more accusations. The star's power hangs in the balance. Diddy sold his majority stake in REVOLT, the media company he started. Other businesses have also cut ties with the mogul, and it's not just his empire under threat, it's his whole future.

[00:00:49]

And the more information that keeps coming out, it just makes any association with him or his empire bad for other businesses.

[00:00:58]

Tonight, we hear from an insider who says she's witnessed at his darker side well before his behavior was exposed for the world to see.

[00:01:07]

I'm personally traumatized by him. These things have messed up my career and my world. I spoke up because I'm not just speaking up for her, I'm speaking up for myself.

[00:01:19]

Grammy-winning songwriter Tiffany Red has worked with the top names in music like Jennifer Hudson, Joe Jonas, and Zendaya, whom she wrote Replay For. But one of the relationships she cherishes the most is with Cassandra Ventura, known as Cassie. How's she doing? She's okay.

[00:01:40]

You can see what's going on. She's getting through.

[00:01:44]

Tiffany met Cassie in 2015 when she was hired to work on her album. By then, Cassie had been romantically involved with Cones for almost a decade.

[00:01:53]

My first interaction with him was he walked up to me and he was like, You're the one writing all these songs about me. And I was like, Yeah. He was like, So she's talking to you, huh? And then he just looked at me, and then he walked away. What was the message he was sending, do you think? I mean, I felt intimidated. It felt like he didn't want her to be talking to me.

[00:02:15]

Cassie met the music mogul in 2005 when she got signed to his record label. Together, they released hits like Me and You. Tiffani Cassie says she saw a much darker side to Combs. She was there the night of Cassie's 29th birthday party in 2015.

[00:02:38]

I walk out the room and right behind the door, there's his security is around him. They have her in the corner, and he's in her face and he's cussing her out. I can't really hear what he was saying, but you could tell something was going on. He was really mad. He was really close to her face, and she just had her head down. And when I was standing over to the side, she just was looking up at me. My sense was that everybody around him was afraid of him.

[00:03:04]

Afraid of Sean Cohn?

[00:03:05]

Yeah. Why? I mean, because he's explosive.

[00:03:09]

In Cassie's lawsuit, it said that Diddy supplied her and sex workers with drugs before enduring these freak-offs. You ever personally witnessed Cassie under any influence?

[00:03:20]

The night of the party was a freak-off. He was saying, Tell your girl she wants some birthday. That was a freak-off. That's where he was taking her. When he cussing her out and she didn't want to go.

[00:03:31]

The incident is one of many mentioned in a lawsuit Cassie filed against Holmes in November of last year.

[00:03:38]

Cassie's lawsuit was resolved within 24 hours. We knew that she was asking for $30 million, but the actual amount that they settled for was undisclosed.

[00:03:46]

At the time, Holmes denied all wrongdoing and said that settling was not an admission of guilt. Then, explosive video. We're going to begin tonight with the alarming images now emerging of Sean Diddy Holmes.

[00:03:58]

The new video obtained exclusively by CNN.

[00:04:03]

Diddy's flying through the hallway of this hotel, and he's so brutal. And Cassie is so small and just appears to be so broken. There's a point where she just stays on the ground.

[00:04:15]

It's so difficult to reflect on.

[00:04:18]

Holmes, now 54, acknowledges assault of Cassie, the message posted on Instagram days after the video surfaced.

[00:04:25]

I was up. I mean, I hit rock bottom. Video, but I make no excuses. My behavior on that video is inexcusable. I take full responsibility for my actions in that video.

[00:04:41]

That video will follow him for the rest of his life. People will always remember that video.

[00:04:49]

When the surveillance video emerged, he confirmed part of Cassie's allegations, though the LA district Attorney's office says they can't file charges because it's past the statute of limitations. Cassie saying on her Instagram, in part, Domestic violence is the issue. I am better today, but I will always be recovering from my past. My only ask is that everyone open your hearts to believing the victims the first time. Since Cassie fouled her lawsuit in November, at least six others have followed. In a lawsuit fouled in February, Rodney Jones, a. K. A. Lil Rod, claims Holmes attempted to groom him into accepting a homosexual relationship.

[00:05:30]

Roni Jones's lawsuit talks about Sean Holmes sexually assaulting him, touching his genitalia. It talks about sex trafficking.

[00:05:38]

Holmes's attorney responded to Jones's lawsuit, saying in part, Jones is gamelessly looking for an undeserved pay Today, we have overwhelming and disputable proof that his claims are complete lies. Model Crystal McKinney also sued Holmes, alleging he drugged and sexually assaulted her after the two met at a New York Fashion Week party. In a separate lawsuit, suit, fashion college student, April Lambrose, alleges Holmes raped her in four different encounters. Sean Holmes' attorney, saying in part, Mr. Holmes cannot comment on settled litigation, will not comment on pending litigation, and I'm not going to address every allegation picked up by the press from any source, no matter how unreliable.

[00:06:21]

I'm going to scream from the rooftops. It's not just him. It's a systemic problem. I'm going to continue to advocate and do something to really change this.

[00:06:28]

For Tiffany, she says this is personal. She's not only advocating for her friend and herself, but also for others in the music industry through her nonprofit, the 100 Percenters.

[00:06:40]

I want there to be a whole lot more systems in place, policies in place for people like Sean Holmes and others to be held accountable.

[00:06:49]

The known Disgraced media mogul laying low as the federal investigation is ongoing. His legal future, uncertain at best.
