This is the Medusa Beach Club in Majorca, where people were enjoying themselves until the two-store building collapsed and it covered them in rubble. Now, Playa de Palma, where this happened, is an area known for its international tourism. It's particularly popular with German and British tourists. The Spanish police have said that the people who had been confirmed to have died in this collapse of the building, two were German, one was Spanish, and a fourth was a Senegalese man who hit the headlines himself in 2017 when he rescued a man from drowning from the sea. Now, investigators say they're not sure why this happened, but they do say there's a possibility that the sheer weight being exerted on the upper floor of this building may have been the cause.
