Violence erupted in Dublin, Ireland, as rioters clashed with police. The disorder happened after a knife attack that afternoon where three children and two adults were injured.

The police arrested 34 people involved in the riot and said some even tried to disrupt the crime scene. Police also claimed that four busses and one tram were destroyed and eleven police vehicles were damaged and that 13 shops in the city center were seriously damaged in the riots. They have detained a man in his 50s for the stabbing that sparked the protests.
