This is an audio letter to Arizona Governor Katie Hobbs. Dear Governor Hobbs, my name is John Walzack. I'm an investigative journalist. I've spent two years researching the Robert Fischer case. I was surprised to learn that since the FBI removed Fischer from its 10 Most Wanted List, there's been no reward to help capture him, which is why I'm personally funding a reward of up to $10,000 via Silent Witness. Today, I want to ask you in a direct public appeal to also offer a $10,000 reward to help capture Robert Fischer. State law, specifically ARS 41-104, gives you this authority. It says that the governor may offer a reward not exceeding $10,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of any person or persons who have committed or are charged with commission of a felony. The reward would be paid by the state general fund, but only if Fisher is captured and convicted. I know that as a social worker and governor, issues like domestic violence and trauma matter a great deal to you. So I would appreciate your help as we make a last-ditch effort to find a man accused of killing his wife and kids.
