I'm Daily Wire Editor-in-Chief John Bickley with guest host, Michelle Toffoia, host of the Michelle Toffoia podcast. It's Friday, May 31st, and this is your Morning Wire Afternoon Update. This is a case where if they can do this to me, they can do this to anyone. This is far beyond me. This is bigger than Trump. This is bigger than me. This is bigger than my presidency. And I don't mind because I'm willing to do whatever I have to do to save our country and to save our Constitution. But we're going to make America great again. We're going to make it better than ever for November fifth. Remember, November fifth is the most important day in the history of our country. Thank you very much, everybody.

The Trump campaign announced this morning that it's received 35 million in small dollar donations in less than 24 hours. That's a record-breaking haul. [00:02:30]

Senate Democrats Dick Durban and Sheldon Whitehouse requested a meeting with Justice Roberts to discuss Justice Samuel Alito and a recent controversy surrounding flags flown by his wife at their home. The senators are pressuring Alito to recuse himself from any case before the high court that involves January sixth and former President Trump. Alito himself had already refused congressional request he recused himself from cases involving Trump. In his letter, Roberts said the court will follow the same procedures they have for 235 years, which leaves recusal decisions to individual justices.
