Questions surrounding President Biden's cognitive and mental acuity continue to circulate in our nation's capital. Daily Wire reporter Tim pierce has more.

[00:01:50]

Many lawmakers on Capitol Hill from both sides of the aisle say the President has shown signs of old age during private meetings. That's according to the Wall Street Journal, which spoke with 45 lawmakers and administrators administration officials. All of the interviewees either participated in the meetings or were briefed on them. During one meeting in particular on Ukraine funding, Biden spoke so softly during portions that others struggled to hear him. He reportedly relied on notes to make obvious and general points. He also paused and even closed his eyes for longer than normal periods of time. This comes in the wake of Special Counsel Robert Herr's February report claiming that Biden would present himself to a jury as a sympathetic, well-meaning elderly man with a poor memory.

Louisiana lawmakers passed a bill seeking to surgically castrate child sex offenders. Here to break down the legislation is Daily Wire senior editor, Ash Short.

[00:04:58]

Many states, including including Louisiana, already have bills permitting chemical castration. However, this bill would allow judges to order the surgical castration of a criminal convicted of a sex crime against a child under 13 years old. The punishment would not be automatic rather at a judge's discretion with a doctor's approval. The bill was supported mostly by Republicans, though Democratic Senator Regina Barro wrote the legislation. Supporters say the bill will prevent child sex criminals from reoffending, while opponents say the law is cruel and unusual punishment and could be too harsh for first-time offenders. Barro responded plainly, saying, When I think about a child, one time is too many. The bill heads to Republican Governor Jeff Landry's desk for final approval.

Arizonans are one step closer to deciding whether state and local police should be allowed to arrest people who have illegally crossed the border. The measure which passed the state house today would make crossing the Arizona-Mexico border anywhere except a port of entry, a state hate crime. The House vote also bypasses an earlier veto of a similar proposal from Democratic Governor Katie Hobbs and sends it directly to the voters on November fifth. Opponents of the measure claim this will lead to racial profiling, But supporters dispute that and say it has nothing to do with legal immigration.

[00:06:19]

It's about picking up those that are in between the two points of entries. We have the CBP taking care of the ones that are crossing, but you have the God aways that are getting away in the desert. Those are doing that because they are not going to qualify for asylum. They're the ones that have the bad records. They're the ones that are human smuggling, someone that doesn't want to give themselves up because they're human smuggling or they're doing the drugs.
