On the mornings, I usually go for a walk.

[00:00:03]

The path along Adriana Quinones morning walk in Lucky Shoals park is normally peaceful. Today, it was a different story.

[00:00:10]

I was surprised because, like I said, I thought it was a very safe park and I never saw an incident like that before. Sometimes I go for 30 minutes walks and I then come back and I see the police here.

[00:00:23]

This morning, instead of friendly patrols, there was crime scene tape as investigators with the Gwinnett County Police Department collected evidence after an officer made a startling discovery.

[00:00:34]

Around 01:03 this morning, one of our officers assigned to our west precinct was doing an area check here. The officer doing the area check stumbled across a vehicle that was on a pedestrian trail. The officer called out to the occupants inside the vehicle and got no response.

[00:00:50]

Inside were four dead bodies, one man and three children. The children were 13, nine and eleven. Investigators are trying to determine what led to the tragedy.

[00:01:01]

At this time, our investigators are investigating this as a possible murder suicide, though final determination will have to be made by the medical examiner's office.

[00:01:09]

The incident is still a shock to people like Adriana, who can't believe something like this could happen so close to their home.

[00:01:16]

I'm going to be more careful around here, but like I said, I'm very secure here, but it's very sorry for the incident.
