That's Buffalo, New York police canine Luca's retirement party. The officer's giving her all the tennis balls she can handle. She's been by their side for seven years, patrolling Super Bowl, presidential inauguration, and countless community events. Now, Luca's partner, Officer Michael Bugolsky, is taking her home to enjoy a well-deserved rest with plenty of treats, and of course, all the tennis balls she could chase. And in Nevada, mom Tessa Truman and her family are starting the new year with a new perspective on the meaning of community. Look at doorbell cam. That's Tessa, rushed out of her house on a stretcher for a medical emergency related to losing a pregnancy. But then this happened. In the days that followed, you can see on the camera, neighbor After neighbor after neighbor, bringing food, flowers, and well wishes. An overwhelming outpouring of love and support Tessa never expected. How did you feel about that?

[00:02:26]

I was extremely grateful. People showed for me that I didn't even think would show up for me.

[00:02:32]

Do you think it changed you?

[00:02:34]

I think it has changed me. I think... I mean, I've been moved to tears multiple times. Just like the outpouring of love I've received makes me in turn want to just be a better person.

[00:02:47]

Tessa now committed to paying it forward. How do you plan to make a difference?

[00:02:53]

I plan to make a difference by being the person that those people were to me, by showing up for others, by to people when they're having a hard time. I hope other people will do the same. Hello.
