Oh, my God. Look at that. There is joy and hope once again in Maui. Is that an iPad? Oh, my God. Kids here opening gift after gift... It's an iPad. After gift ahead of Christmas. For these children, this outpouring of love was overwhelming after so many difficult months. They think there's.

[00:00:30]

So many good people around the world, huh?

[00:00:32]

Merry Christmas.

[00:00:34]

This weekend's massive toy drive was organized by Kanani Auri for families impacted by this summer's devastating wildfires in La Jana.

[00:00:42]

After the wildfires, everyone was really affected, obviously. So we wanted to ease that by helping the kids and making sure that the kids had what they needed this Christmas. We ended up with 881 registered Cake.

[00:00:54]

Those Caky, Hawaiian for children, got to make a list of what they wanted, their wishes filled by donations from around the world.

[00:01:02]

It's just overwhelming and a blessing for all of us.

[00:01:06]

Welcome. Yeah, how are you?

[00:01:07]

I'm trying. For Alexis Horton, who lost everything, the greatest gift was being together again.

[00:01:14]

So that they can just have that opportunity, God, to just walk through those new doors that you have for them, Lord. In Jesus name, we pray.

[00:01:22]

Amen.

[00:01:24]

Amen. I've got you guys, my son.

[00:01:27]

Thank you. You guys are amazing. Thank you for all of.

[00:01:32]

Your hard work. Giving thanks for blessings great and small. Thank you. Sharing a traditional meal. And music. Oh, it.

[00:01:46]

Feels really good to be able to be amongst our community. We get to see the happiness on our kids' faces when they receive presents and that they're thought about. Oh, my God. That they're not forgotten. Thank you guys.

[00:01:58]

So much for.

[00:01:59]

Doing this. Friends, neighbors and Ohana, family, uniting to bring the spirit of the season alive.

[00:02:07]

I haven't ever hugged so many strangers in my life, and I have to say it's a healthy habit. People talk about aloha.

[00:02:15]

I know. Hawaii is aloha. It's love and it's acting with kindness first. It's just taking care of each other.

[00:02:25]

It.

[00:02:26]

Was such a beautiful outpouring of generosity. There were thousands of gifts given out to the kids there yesterday.
