The Trump campaign tonight saying it was hacked and the documents were obtained illegally from foreign sources. The statement after the news site Politico says it was sent Trump campaign documents from an anonymous email account purporting to be internal communications and a research dossier on Trump's VP pick, J. D. Vance. The campaign alleging the hack was intended to interfere with the 2024 election, pointing to a Microsoft statement on Friday that it was tracing activity that increasingly points to Iran's intent to influence this year's US presidential election. Bbc news has not independently verified the hack. The latest headache for the Trump campaign coming as the Harris campaign is touting record crowds, saying the vice President rallied 15,000 supporters in Arizona Friday night as part of the new Democratic tickets swing state tour. The new poll shows Harris leading former President Trump among likely voters in Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin, though within the margin of error, an improvement after Trump was virtually tied or ahead of President Biden in those states before he left the race. But the Harris campaign tonight also facing new criticism focused on vice presidential candidate Governor Tim Walls' National Guard Service. Doug Julen, who served with Walls, telling CNN about Walls retiring from the Guard ahead of being deployed to Iraq.
