Detroit to Houston, and New York to LA.

[00:00:21]

Let me begin this evening by expressing my gratitude to the American people for your outpouring of love and support following the assassination attempt at my rally on Saturday. Despite such a heinous attack, we unite this evening more determined than ever. Tragically, the shooter claimed the life of one of our fellow Americans, Cory Comperator. He lost his life selflessly acting as a human shield to protect them from flying bullets. He went right over the top of them and was hit.

As his son, I've never been more proud of a person in my life. A man who survived a bullet that was intended to eliminate him permanently from our future and from our family. Never have I been more proud to be a Trump.

[00:01:24]

I know President Trump is a fighter. I've been saying this since 2015. Now, look at what's happened over the last 10 years. We have all seen it with our own eyes. I know President Trump is literally putting his life on the line for something bigger than himself, and he's willing to risk it all because he loves this country.

[00:01:45]

But what happened last week when they took a shot at my hero and they tried to kill the next President of the United States? Enough was enough. And I said, Let's jump on media. Run wild, brother.

[00:02:08]

I stand before you this evening with a message of confidence, strength, and hope. Our politics too often divide us. Now is the time to remember that we are all fellow citizens. We are one nation under God, indivisible with liberty and justice for all. As Americans, we are bound together by a single fate and a shared destiny. We rise together or we fall apart. So tonight, with faith and devotion, I proudly accept your nomination for President of the United States. Thank you.
