[00:04:13]

Let's go, Hank.

[00:04:13]

Let's do it, Hank.

[00:04:15]

I think you're going to look good, Hank.

[00:04:16]

Yeah. So if you're watching the show, I don't. He's shaving it right now live on air. He's, he's going to look good. I feel good about this, Hank. Walk us through what you're thinking about. Then we're going to talk some other sports.

[00:04:30]

I think, you know, it's. I'm a man of my word. This show is, is built on being a man of your word. I said I was going to do something, and I'm doing it. So, you know, at someone, someone here has to be accountable.

[00:04:42]

Yeah, it seems like you should just celebrate what you're doing right now instead of trying to make a pointed reference.

[00:04:48]

Well, I don't want to do it. Like, you know, some people, when they don't want to do it, they just kind of avoid it or say, blame other people and say they can't do it.

[00:04:54]

No, his memes, his fault.

[00:04:54]

I don't really want to be doing this. You can appreciate I said I would do it as a man that I.

[00:04:58]

Am that knows how tough memes can be to work with memes, ruin the scheduling of the perm. But this isn't about my perm, Hank. This is about.

[00:05:04]

I didn't. I didn't bring up.

[00:05:05]

This is about you looking.

[00:05:06]

He didn't bring it up.

[00:05:07]

I know he didn't.

[00:05:07]

No, he didn't.

[00:05:08]

You look great. I think this is a good look for you. You might even just be a bald guy.

[00:05:12]

Yeah. Meme said when you. When we went down to just this. So you got. You got it obviously buzzed first. Now you're getting it fully shaved. Meme said if you just added some muscle, you'd just be every dude from Long island.

[00:05:25]

Yeah, I mean, the eyebrows, through the eyebrows, I think it really exposes how. I don't know. I gotta do something with them.

[00:05:31]

We can clean them up.

[00:05:32]

Yeah.

[00:05:32]

Wet them. Yeah.

[00:05:34]

It makes me look. I just look like a scary.

[00:05:38]

You share your barber?

[00:05:40]

Yeah.

[00:05:40]

Joel.

[00:05:40]

Fresh cuts.

[00:05:41]

Shout out.

[00:05:41]

My guy pulls up to the office. Great call for a great dude, Fallman.

[00:05:46]

And often, I think, every golf together a couple times.

[00:05:51]

Everybody Hank knows has played golf with him at some.

[00:05:54]

Yeah. Yeah. Who doesn't golf with their barber? I love it. Yeah.

[00:05:59]

Oh, yes.

[00:05:59]

Best score.

[00:06:00]

Thank you. You do look good. There is, like, a slight prison vibe going on. Yeah, it's. Yeah.

[00:06:05]

Yeah.

[00:06:06]

Be honest with me. I don't. I don't need to hear that shit. I know I look like a. Like a psychopath.

[00:06:11]

Shank Lockwood.

[00:06:12]

Yes.

[00:06:13]

I feel like if I see this guy, he's wearing a celtic jersey, probably has a knife in his belt. But I do think you look good. And the way that you can tell that you actually look good is because right when you start to get shaved, memes goes, ah, fuck. He actually looks good. And memes was rooting for you so badly to just look like a giant penis, and it turns out that you look okay.

[00:06:32]

Yeah. Yeah.

[00:06:33]

I mean, if you. Again, when Derek White and Pritchard were here, if you told me right then that the Celtics would win the championship. I've shaved my head. I'm making that bet ten times out of ten. I'm going to the parade today. Should be a good time. So you know what? Fuck it. You're ready to go about confidence.

[00:06:47]

You're ready to go. All right. So we'll update once you get fully shaved. We do have news. We have JJ Reddick is now the coach of the Los Angeles Lakers. Oh, memes, are we ready for my surprise?

[00:07:02]

I don't like this at all.

[00:07:03]

Memes, are we ready for my surprise?

[00:07:05]

Not yet.

[00:07:06]

All right, so just let me know when the. I have a surprise for Hank. Um, but, yeah. JJ Reddick, coach of the Lakers. Huge. We. So, the news broke during the Derek white interview, so we mentioned it quickly, but my first thought was, it's huge for the podcast community.

[00:07:21]

It is.

[00:07:22]

Us podcasters can do anything.

[00:07:24]

It's important to have representation in the media. So, growing up, if you're a kid out there with a podcast, you can look at JJ Reddick and say, I, too, one day, can coach the Lakers.

[00:07:32]

Yes.

[00:07:33]

And I mean, a little behind the scenes here, but this kind of means that. That Tommy alter is the secret advisor to the coach of the Los Angeles Lakers. So I think that that makes us very powerful, too.

[00:07:43]

It does.

[00:07:44]

We have the ear of the man with the ear.

[00:07:46]

Do you think JJ will continue to come on this show now that he's the Los Angeles Lakers head coach?

[00:07:52]

No.

[00:07:52]

You think he's going to pretend that we never existed? Yes, probably.

[00:07:56]

I think that's a safe bet.

[00:07:58]

I think he'll still throw us a bone once in a while.

[00:08:01]

I think maybe if he wants to be a champion.

[00:08:03]

If he wants to be a champion.

[00:08:05]

Precedence been set.

[00:08:06]

It's a good point. But also, at the same time, there might be a guy on the team that probably doesn't want him to come on to part of my team.

[00:08:11]

He already was doing a podcast with that. With said guy.

[00:08:14]

Oh, are you talking about LeBron?

[00:08:16]

Yeah, actually, that's. That's our true representation. We could be LeBron as well.

[00:08:19]

We could. Well, yeah.

[00:08:20]

So you could be LeBron. I'll be JJ.

[00:08:22]

LeBron gives me visibility. Because you can be a podcaster that loves to drink.

[00:08:27]

Yeah.

[00:08:27]

And now I'm like, okay, I could also be a multiple time NBA champion.

[00:08:31]

Yeah, exactly. So, I mean, good for JJ. Congrats to JJ. I think we all thought this was going that way. It is a very weird story on the surface level. Like, JJ, I think, is going to be a good coach. So I'm not saying that he doesn't deserve the shot here, but if you had said 15 years ago that there'll be these things called podcasts, and JJ Reddick will end up being the coach of the Los Angeles Lakers, partly because he had a podcast with LeBron James, I. What? What are you fucking talking about right now?

[00:09:08]

Do you think they're gonna keep the podcast going?

[00:09:10]

I think they have to.

[00:09:11]

And then maybe this was just. This might have been a play by both of them just to increase the podcast numbers.

[00:09:16]

True.

[00:09:17]

Like, LeBron was probably gonna retire. JJ is like, I don't want to be a head coach. Oh, well, you know what's a great way to get the YouTube account up? How about we just work together for the Lakers?

[00:09:26]

That's a great fucking point. Pft. And I want it on the record that we've always done this podcast natural. We've never. We've never dated Taylor Swift. We've never became the Lakers head coach.

[00:09:37]

It's the juice ball.

[00:09:38]

It is. It's crazy. Everyone's got all these tricks and bits trying to get all their numbers up. We just show up, and we run the ball every day.

[00:09:46]

That's all we do. And we do the podcast because we do the podcast.

[00:09:49]

Yeah. While Hank gets his head shaved. Yeah.

[00:09:51]

We're not about gimmicks.

[00:09:52]

No, fuck that. It is bullshit. We're competing against the juice ball of the podcasting.

[00:09:59]

Yeah, we need to figure out. We were talking about maybe Hank dating Beyonce, stealing away from Jay Z as a possibility, maybe Max hooking up with sexy red. Maybe. Maybe memes getting Cardi B pregnant.

[00:10:11]

Yeah, but you thumbs up that.

[00:10:13]

Yeah, I think we got to step it up. I think we really have to. To figure out a real solid play here. Actually, I'm Jake. He left part of my take to go marry Jill Biden. So Jill is divorcing Joe.

[00:10:25]

Doctor Jill.

[00:10:26]

Yeah, Doctor Jill is now. Is now Doctor Joe Marsh.

[00:10:29]

I could see Jake. I could see Jake being the first. What would it be? The. What would he. His wife would be the president.

[00:10:38]

Yeah. The first dude.

[00:10:39]

First dude of America. Yeah.

[00:10:40]

First.

[00:10:40]

I can see that happening.

[00:10:41]

Very cool, Jake.

[00:10:42]

Yeah, very cool.

[00:10:44]

It wasn't. It was very nice to see all the. All the love and support that Jake got. Yeah, we appreciate that from the awl, so. Jake appreciates it a lot.

[00:10:50]

Yeah, it was. It was one of those moments. We've been doing this for a long time, and we're now faced against the juiced ball podcast era. But we have, I think, through the years, built a community and fans that will ride with us no matter what. And we. We love you guys so much for that. And it was. It show. It showed through when Jake made his announcement on Wednesday's show. And it's just a reminder how lucky we are to have fans like everyone who listens to the show.

[00:11:16]

Yeah, we appreciate that. And Jake, I talked to him earlier. He really, really appreciates everybody and their kind words. So thank you guys for that.

[00:11:23]

Yes. Okay, what else we got? Oh, the Pistons fired their coach.

[00:11:29]

I think that this makes the job opening in Detroit. Way more attractive.

[00:11:33]

Yeah.

[00:11:34]

Because you can go there for a year, get fired, and still get paid for the remaining four or five years that you have on your contract.

[00:11:40]

Yeah.

[00:11:40]

That's a destination I want a part of.

[00:11:42]

How much money is Monty Williams made in the last few years to not coach?

[00:11:46]

A lot. Not as much as what I. Yeah. I mean, I would. I think he's a great coach, and I think that somebody's probably going to hire him, uh, for a decent job in the near future. But getting paid money not to work is the american dream, and so that's ultimately the best thing that you want to be looking for when you're head coach. Which is why I would want to coach the Pistons.

[00:12:05]

Yeah.

[00:12:05]

Get fired.

[00:12:06]

Six years, 78 and a half million dollars is the contract he signed last year. Was it six years? I don't know. 78 and a half million. I don't know how many years it was, but, uh. Yes. Six years, 78 and a half million. I was right. Yeah.

[00:12:21]

So they're like, here's $60 million to not work, and you can move out of Detroit. And that is the best deal ever.

[00:12:28]

Yeah. No longer have to coach a 14 win team.

[00:12:30]

That's so good.

[00:12:31]

The Pistons are. I do feel bad. A little bit bad for the Pistons. Just in the fact that we talked about it when they did the lottery. They've had just the worst lottery luck possible.

[00:12:40]

Yeah.

[00:12:41]

As they've been the worst team in the NBA for three years running and they keep getting the fifth pick.

[00:12:45]

Yeah. They should just let, like, have a Twitter account or a twitch stream with polls on it. They should just have that. Run the Detroit Pistons. Oh, and make all the personnel decisions, all the rotation adjustments. Just have it be done by Committee of Pistons fans.

[00:12:59]

I like that a lot. I like that a lot. But, yeah, he's living the dream. He's. He's able to do nothing and get paid millions and millions of dollars. My hair is fucked up right now. Damn.

[00:13:09]

Same.

[00:13:10]

Yeah.

[00:13:10]

Oh, no, but mine's way more fucked. Oh, get the look. We're gonna.

[00:13:17]

Scary. I looks fucking scary.

[00:13:19]

Go back, Hank.

[00:13:21]

You look good. You got to get a little tan on, but that'll happen. But don't get burned.

[00:13:25]

Yeah, that. What are you gonna do about golf? Are you gonna wear a hat? Cuz you can't wear a hat now.

[00:13:29]

As a bald man wearing hats all summer.

[00:13:31]

But then every time you take it off, you're gonna look crazy. Gonna look like Stuart sink.

[00:13:36]

I hope it just grows back. Yeah, it will.

[00:13:38]

But it's gonna be at least a month.

[00:13:40]

Or eyebrows are a problem.

[00:13:42]

We'll. We'll. We'll clean them up.

[00:13:44]

How long till the hair grows back to what it was before you shaved it?

[00:13:48]

Two months, Joel.

[00:13:49]

Yeah.

[00:13:50]

Okay.

[00:13:51]

Yeah, that's.

[00:13:51]

That's not bad at all.

[00:13:52]

Might be a month and a half. His hair grows pretty fast.

[00:13:54]

Yeah, he is. He's got that testosterone bumping through. Big. Summer of Hank. Summer of Hank. Other stories I had.

[00:14:01]

I'm gonna get some toupees.

[00:14:03]

Yes.

[00:14:04]

Finally, some experimentation.

[00:14:05]

I love that.

[00:14:07]

The golf visor that's got the funny, spiky hair poking through.

[00:14:11]

Yeah, like yellow hair.

[00:14:14]

Yeah.

[00:14:14]

White hair.

[00:14:15]

That'd be good look on you.

[00:14:16]

Did you guys see the NCAA is trying to screw up the tournament again?

[00:14:19]

Yeah, 72 to 76 teams.

[00:14:21]

Oh, we got our. We got our special guests. Hank, put on your headphones. We got our special guests. Surprise. Surprise. I told. Just trust me. It's a good surprise. He's grunting. He's grunting. He's very upset.

[00:14:37]

I wonder who.

[00:14:37]

All right, let him in. It is. Here he is, his coach, Joe Bazula. Do you see him? Look at his hair. It's looking good. Hank, you look like you're ready, man.

[00:14:51]

I'm ready. He's anything for the team, coach.

[00:14:53]

Yes. Uh, coach wanted to say something to you, though. Hank?

[00:14:57]

Yeah, Hank, I forgot to tell you this the other day, but I saved.

[00:15:01]

A seat for you on the duck.

[00:15:02]

Boat with me tomorrow.

[00:15:03]

Let's go on the coaches duck boat.

[00:15:05]

Are you serious?

[00:15:06]

Yeah. He can't wear a hat, right?

[00:15:08]

No, cannot wear a hat. That's no problem.

[00:15:15]

Or sunscreen. You can't wear a sunscreen.

[00:15:17]

Whatever you need. Whatever you need.

[00:15:19]

Oh, sure. You're the best.

[00:15:21]

I'd love to have you spend the day with us. So I appreciate it.

[00:15:24]

That's.

[00:15:24]

Be there. Thank you.

[00:15:25]

It's incredible. You're. You're the best. Coach. Thank you so much for hopping back on to offer that and take care of our boy. He. He. Now the odds for drunk us at the parade have changed drastically. Cause Hank is now going to be on a duck boat with you.

[00:15:41]

We'll see if we can get some moonshine for you.

[00:15:44]

Let's go, Hank.

[00:15:45]

What a day. What a day.

[00:15:47]

Summer of Hank.

[00:15:48]

Right, coach? All right, coach. Thank you so much.

[00:15:51]

Thanks, coach.

[00:15:52]

Tomorrow. The best. The absolute best. Oh, and then we had another special guest. Yes. You're going on Coach Missoula's duck boat tomorrow.

[00:16:03]

That's insane.

[00:16:04]

He texted me yesterday. He was like, hey, I want he's like, I think Hank can get there by 930 in the morning. I was like, yes.

[00:16:10]

I mean, it's going to be tough to beat the make a wish allegations.

[00:16:14]

Yeah, yeah.

[00:16:15]

So, Hank, do you have a strategy in terms of how you're going to pace out your drinking?

[00:16:19]

No.

[00:16:20]

Okay. That's a bad strategy.

[00:16:22]

Yeah, you just got to go for it. The other special guest we had was our good friend Max. I wanted to see what his take was on that. I had him join the zoom as well. Max? Max, are you there? Did you see that? Did you see Coach Joe Missoula invite Hank on a duck boat for the parade? He's going to be on a duck boat with the coach of the Boston Celtics.

[00:16:45]

Oh, my God.

[00:16:47]

For their parade.

[00:16:48]

Is he here?

[00:16:49]

Max?

[00:16:50]

I think Max is refusing to.

[00:16:52]

Oh, come on.

[00:16:53]

This is the equivalent of when he takes off his headphones and just sits back.

[00:16:56]

He doesn't give the people what they want. Max, you know he's not in it, right? Why? Where is he?

[00:17:02]

He just eat, like, ten minutes ago. He said, I'll be in in five minutes.

[00:17:05]

It just hasn't joined.

[00:17:06]

I see his name.

[00:17:07]

Oh, his name is right there. Memes.

[00:17:08]

No, this is.

[00:17:09]

This he controls.

[00:17:11]

That's tricky. Okay, join now.

[00:17:13]

All right. Damn, that sucks. I had told him to join. All right, well, we'll get. We'll get our thoughts from Max.

[00:17:18]

He might have joined and then. And then left.

[00:17:21]

What can we do with.

[00:17:23]

Thread them up? Hank, are you. Are you thinking they look too bushy?

[00:17:27]

I think I just look ugly. But that is what it is now.

[00:17:29]

You're just not used to it.

[00:17:31]

It's fine. It's all about. I mean, I don't really give a fuck. I'm gonna be on the duck bowl.

[00:17:36]

Missoula.

[00:17:37]

I really just don't.

[00:17:38]

I mean, that means you're gonna be on the duck boat with the trophy at some point.

[00:17:42]

Yeah.

[00:17:43]

And then you also are gonna, like. The duck boat goes to the, like, wherever they're gonna give speeches. You're gonna be standing on the stage. And then, Hank, you're good.

[00:17:55]

Like, I'm gonna meet everyone.

[00:17:56]

You're gonna.

[00:17:57]

You're not probably, like the coaches that. Yeah.

[00:18:00]

And then, Hank, you're also gonna, like, if you play your cards right, you'll just go with the team wherever they go after the parade.

[00:18:07]

Yeah, if you're a cool hang.

[00:18:09]

Yeah, if you're a cool hang.

[00:18:10]

Do you have any, like, any thoughts in the off chance that this is. Hank, go say a word on the microphone.

[00:18:16]

This is crazy.

[00:18:17]

No, I'm not gonna do that. I'm gonna be respectful. I mean, I'm coaches guests. I can't. I gotta be somewhat. Somewhat in control.

[00:18:24]

But good luck.

[00:18:26]

Who knows?

[00:18:26]

I mean, this might be the biggest day of your life. Yeah.

[00:18:30]

I mean, it'll be up there. The first 1st time we got to party with the Patriots was. Was incredible. But this could be better. Sounds like it probably will be.

[00:18:38]

This is every kid.

[00:18:39]

I mean, I can't.

[00:18:40]

You're gonna be.

[00:18:40]

I actually can't believe that you're gonna be.

[00:18:42]

They're gonna be cheering for you in a parade in a championship. God damn it.

[00:18:47]

This guy, bro, takes his on the team.

[00:18:49]

Should have told. I should have told Joe that he. We had an interview on Friday. He can't make it.

[00:18:54]

Oh, that'd be fucked. But Hank, you're gonna be great. You're gonna be great on this boat.

[00:19:00]

I love Hank too much that when he said it, I was actually pumped for him.

[00:19:04]

Yeah, well, there was some confusion. There was a lot of confusion the past two days.

[00:19:07]

Yeah.

[00:19:08]

Cuz I I. Someone had Dave, like, I think sent the wrong text to someone, was like, he's all set with Missoula.

[00:19:14]

Mm hmm.

[00:19:15]

And then people were asking me like, oh, you're on duck. But I was like, I haven't heard anything, so.

[00:19:20]

No, yeah, yeah. And I also, I had Caitlin Walker book a couple flights to make sure you get there at 930. And she accidentally sent it to your email.

[00:19:30]

Well, I had already booked a flight.

[00:19:31]

Yeah, I know, but I didn't know if you had flights that got you there. You. 930?

[00:19:34]

Yeah, no, I found. I had booked a flight for 945 tonight, in case we lost a dozen.

[00:19:39]

Oh, I for six a. I double booked those. Yeah, I booked those again, I didn't know cuz I didn't want to tell you. Yeah, because Missoula was like, let me surprise him. I was like, absolutely.

[00:19:48]

Well, yeah, you're gonna be.

[00:19:49]

I'm very jealous of you, Hank. I think that this is gonna be the best day ever. You're gonna. It's gonna be surreal. The entire. You might.

[00:19:55]

Whole thing is real. My life is.

[00:19:57]

Oh, here we go. We got the extra special guest. All right, Max. Here he is. He's getting let in. It's too bad he missed that, but we can explain it to him. Max, are you there?

[00:20:11]

Max is on such a sick vacation.

[00:20:13]

Max. Hey. Hey, Max.

[00:20:17]

Where are you all that?

[00:20:19]

Where are you?

[00:20:20]

I'm having a sick vacation right now.

[00:20:22]

Yeah. What are you doing?

[00:20:24]

Best vacation ever. Driving across the country and moving.

[00:20:29]

Oh, that sounds fun.

[00:20:30]

Well, you'll have to drive one way.

[00:20:31]

Yeah, no, gotta drive both ways.

[00:20:34]

What?

[00:20:34]

You just drive my ass off. It's 98 degrees in New York City right now. I smell like shit. I smell like absolute shit right now. I'm taking this from. From my car. Ankle.

[00:20:45]

Hanks looks like an alien.

[00:20:47]

Well, thank you. At least someone's honest.

[00:20:50]

Max, what? You missed because you were in the middle of moving in the middle of summer, and you're what? You're driving all the way from New York to Chicago this weekend?

[00:21:01]

No, I just drove from. Wait, yes, Saturday.

[00:21:05]

Okay, Saturday. So will you be. What are you doing tomorrow?

[00:21:10]

Tomorrow? I'm doing nothing tomorrow.

[00:21:12]

Oh, perfect. All right, so we need. Yeah, we need you for something. So we need you to get clips for the social account for the part. My take. Social account? Because Joe Missoula just joined the show, and he asked Hank to be his personal guest on his duck boat.

[00:21:31]

Wait, what?

[00:21:37]

On the boat with coach?

[00:21:40]

What am I supposed to do?

[00:21:42]

You have to watch every second of it and get every clip of Hank.

[00:21:45]

There's going to be some great clips of Hank tomorrow, so I just.

[00:21:49]

Wait a minute. Something just happened here.

[00:21:54]

What? What? Yeah.

[00:21:57]

Is it worse now?

[00:21:58]

No, you're fine.

[00:21:59]

Okay.

[00:22:00]

It's never good.

[00:22:01]

Um, wait, so I just have to watch Hank on the duck boat?

[00:22:06]

Yeah, you got to make sure you get every clip.

[00:22:09]

What does that even mean? He's gonna be. He's doing his own clip.

[00:22:12]

No, no, no. Yeah, the tv footage. Like, he'll probably be on SportsCenter. He'll probably. You know, I'm gonna be all over that for sure. Okay. Yeah, yeah. So just make sure you're there anyway. Yeah.

[00:22:24]

And any of the clips that people post on social where they tag you in it.

[00:22:27]

Yeah.

[00:22:28]

If you see any. Good. If you're at the parade and you get a good video of Hank tag Philly Mays.

[00:22:32]

Yeah.

[00:22:33]

Make sure that he can see it, and then he can repost it from all her socials.

[00:22:36]

Yep. Yeah.

[00:22:37]

Really excited. That sounds great.

[00:22:39]

Yeah, yeah. So you. Are you pumped for Hank?

[00:22:43]

No, yeah, I'm really. I mean, I'm really happy that he looks like shit. Like he looks terrible, but this is the last time we'll see Hank without a hat for the next four months.

[00:22:52]

Yeah, but he. Well, no, Missoula said he can't wear a hat tomorrow.

[00:22:56]

Okay, so tomorrow will be the last time that we see egg without a. Yeah, four months.

[00:23:01]

Well, yeah, and you'll see a lot of them tomorrow because you're going to get all the clips. Right.

[00:23:04]

It's a good trade, though, you know?

[00:23:06]

Yeah. Yes. I. I don't even know what that means. Get all the clips.

[00:23:09]

It means you have to just watch the entire parade.

[00:23:12]

We never. Hank does something.

[00:23:13]

I'm going to watch the whole parade. I'm. I'm. I'm definitely. I'm going to do that hundred percent. I'm really excited for it, and I'm definitely going to do that because Hank's.

[00:23:21]

Going to be doing a lot of awesome stuff, right.

[00:23:23]

That winners do, chugging beers.

[00:23:25]

And he's going to be so happy. So we want to make sure that people see that for visibility.

[00:23:30]

Yeah, no, I'm excited to do that.

[00:23:32]

Okay.

[00:23:33]

I'm happy for him.

[00:23:34]

Yeah, it sounds like you are you. You'll maybe get invited to a parade someday.

[00:23:39]

Almost. Almost dead. When, well, the Eagles lost in the Super bowl. Do you remember that?

[00:23:46]

Yeah. Were you going to get invited to the parade?

[00:23:49]

Oh, not the.

[00:23:50]

Not the parade, but Sirianni going to have you next to him.

[00:23:54]

No, Sirianni probably doesn't like me.

[00:23:56]

Yeah, big Dom does, though.

[00:23:59]

Big Dom.

[00:23:59]

Yeah, big Dom. Maybe big Dom.

[00:24:00]

Big Dom.

[00:24:01]

Big Dom is best.

[00:24:02]

Yeah. I mean, listen, that's the thing. Like, Hank just won a title and he's going to be on a duck boat with the coach of the Boston Celtics. But at least you tax with big Dom.

[00:24:14]

Wait, so you're gonna be, like, on the boat?

[00:24:17]

Yes, he's going.

[00:24:19]

This is why we need all the clips.

[00:24:21]

Max, personal guest. He's literally on a duck boat with Missoula.

[00:24:28]

I thought you were on a draftkings boat.

[00:24:30]

No, he's on his boat with the coach of the Boston Celtic that just.

[00:24:36]

Won an NBA championship with multiple former Sixers players.

[00:24:41]

The trophy will probably be in Hank's hands as he raises it and people cheer at some point tomorrow, and you have to be there to get the clip setting in. It's slowly setting. Slowly setting.

[00:24:58]

There's gonna be so many clips of Hank with Jalen Brown and Jason Tatum.

[00:25:03]

Yes on. Yes. Hank might even give a speech. So you need to be diligent.

[00:25:10]

I'm gonna. I'm gonna do a real. I'm gonna do an excellent job of this. It's gonna be the best work I've ever done for this show.

[00:25:15]

Okay, good, good. All right. That's great. All right. Hey, uh, there's zero.

[00:25:20]

There's a 0% chance I do this.

[00:25:22]

Uh, well, we kind of need you to.

[00:25:25]

You really need you to.

[00:25:26]

Big for socials.

[00:25:27]

Yeah. This is. I mean, bonuses come into play when it comes to, like, socials.

[00:25:32]

This Friday, right? Is Friday. Is Friday a weekday or weekend?

[00:25:35]

Yeah.

[00:25:36]

Hank. Hank, is Friday a weekday or a weekend?

[00:25:39]

It's a weekday. It's a work day.

[00:25:40]

Okay.

[00:25:40]

Yeah, workday.

[00:25:41]

You gotta be worse about that.

[00:25:43]

Yeah, true, true.

[00:25:45]

It's a good point.

[00:25:46]

Yeah.

[00:25:46]

So, yeah, I'm gonna.

[00:25:47]

I'm gonna be all over it.

[00:25:48]

All right. We don't want to put you on a pip.

[00:25:51]

I'm gonna be all over it.

[00:25:52]

Okay, great. Good.

[00:25:53]

Love to hear that.

[00:25:54]

It'd be a real shame if we had to put you on a pip just because Hank got to be on the duck boat with Joe. Missoula.

[00:26:02]

Max, at least. Well, that was a nice clip of. That was a nice camera cut, by means, right there. That was really good stuff.

[00:26:09]

Yeah. Yeah. There was a second there when. When it all sunk in for Max, where I actually thought you were crying.

[00:26:15]

For what? I mean, it's.

[00:26:17]

Whatever. I already.

[00:26:18]

I didn't know he was going to be on the duck boat.

[00:26:20]

I knew he was on this. Yeah.

[00:26:24]

Well, good luck with the move, Max. That sounds.

[00:26:27]

Yeah, I'm jealous. Honestly, as fun as my day sounds, I'd rather kind of be. If I could switch with you, I would.

[00:26:32]

Yeah.

[00:26:32]

Moving, driving. Yeah.

[00:26:36]

All right.

[00:26:37]

Thanks, Max.

[00:26:37]

All right. See you, Max.

[00:26:38]

Have a good one.

[00:26:39]

Yeah. Great. Though his brain, he's in. He's the middle of moving, so his brain is not working correctly.

[00:26:52]

Yeah.

[00:26:53]

And it's slowly dawning on him what we're asking him to do. And then having it set in. And you're on the boat.

[00:27:00]

It's. It's the bus meme where one guy on one side is Max, and he's in the dark, gloomy side of the bus, and he's driving across the country in 95 degree weather, sweating, moving, and then on the other side, it's literally Hank Lockwood on the champions duck boat.

[00:27:14]

Yeah, man.

[00:27:17]

I don't even know what to say.

[00:27:19]

Okay, so, Hank, maybe one summer of Hank, one thing. Maybe you can investigate for me. Boots on the ground during the parade. How do duck boats work? How can you drive a car into the. Into the river, and then it just works as a boat?

[00:27:33]

I'll investigate. I mean, it's wheels, basically, and you just pull the wheels up.

[00:27:37]

Yeah, but what about the engine? Doesn't the engine get in the water?

[00:27:40]

Put the engine up high.

[00:27:41]

Okay.

[00:27:41]

You can have engines and boats.

[00:27:44]

Yeah, but. Yeah. So this is all things I need to know about the duck boats.

[00:27:48]

Engines and boats.

[00:27:48]

I'm very curious about how it works.

[00:27:50]

Can't. Aren't there, like, some cars that can do that? Yep.

[00:27:53]

Planes.

[00:27:54]

Some planes.

[00:27:55]

Some plan on the water.

[00:27:56]

Yeah.

[00:27:57]

Yeah. Get us a full detail.

[00:27:59]

I want to know more about the duck boat experience.

[00:28:01]

All right. We were talking about the NCAA tournament. The NCAA is trying to move the tournament to an expanded field. This is gonna suck.

[00:28:10]

Yeah. So 72 to 76 team tournament plans is what they're trying to do.

[00:28:15]

Yeah. By eight. They're planning on changing it by four or eight teams.

[00:28:19]

64 teams is perfect.

[00:28:21]

It's. Well, I like the 68. We had this debate, but the sick. Yeah. They just don't need to add more bubble teams.

[00:28:27]

Yeah. We don't need that at all. Also, you know what's good for the tournament is having debates about bubble team.

[00:28:32]

Correct. Yes.

[00:28:33]

We were pissed off. There were some teams that got left out last year. St. John.

[00:28:37]

Remember them?

[00:28:37]

I remember St. John's.

[00:28:38]

I remember St. John's because.

[00:28:40]

Yeah. But I feel like, in a weird, sick way, having those team, when they do a bad job with, like, one or two teams, it's good for the overall brand because more people are talking about the tournament.

[00:28:50]

Yeah.

[00:28:50]

So now if they, if they do this perfectly, then it gets less buzz. And I don't like the idea of 72, 78. I like 64.

[00:28:58]

I agree.

[00:28:58]

Slash 68.

[00:28:59]

The only thing that I would be okay with is the idea that we have that you, if you have a certain allotment of bubble teams, if you want to expand to eight teams, all eight of those teams should have to play right after the brackets announced. Yeah.

[00:29:15]

I like that. They. Maybe they do like almost a second conference tournament, except it's just for bubble team.

[00:29:20]

That's the part.

[00:29:21]

That's the bubble conference.

[00:29:22]

Everyone has a chance to get in. Yes. What the ca. It's the perfect system.

[00:29:26]

Yeah. You're like, giving an extra conference tournament to teams.

[00:29:29]

Yeah. All right. Do we have anything else before we get to our interviews? Are the Yankees in the Orioles done beam Beanie beating each other?

[00:29:39]

I don't know.

[00:29:39]

Pegging each other.

[00:29:40]

I don't know. I think they're pegging each other pretty hard right now.

[00:29:42]

They are doing a lot of pegging.

[00:29:44]

Know if they're done with that or not. But it seems like Aaron judge is fine, so the fact that he's back in the lineup, maybe the pegging will stop.

[00:29:51]

Yeah, I'd agree with that. Oh, I did have one more thing. This is. This is to bring it maybe Hank down a second. Well, what was your fire fest. Was it anything that happened on twitter? Okay, so I don't know if you saw this pFt, but Hank and the boys.

[00:30:11]

Oh, my fire fest, it was.

[00:30:14]

Okay, we'll save it. We'll save it. All right.

[00:30:16]

I mean, it's not even a fire fest.

[00:30:18]

No, but it's a very funny thing. Mega viral without realizing it this week.

[00:30:23]

Yes. Okay, I did see that the.

[00:30:25]

Yeah, yeah, we'll talk about firefest. Okay, quick 62nd rant. We finished recording this afternoon because PFt was in the dozen finale. I got my car to leave the office and. And I see that the bulls have traded Alex Crusoe for Josh Giddy. I am mad. I continue to be mad at this franchise. They fucking suck. Jerry Reinsdorf, all he wants to do is win 40 games. Let's throw aside. Stella's just going to bark in my back. Stella. Everyone gets Stella in this too. Stop. It's giving day. Everyone should be giving to pause. Hold on. Keep this in, but I'm going to kick her out. Come on. Go, go. Okay. Giddy. Caruso. I love Caruso. He's a friend of the show. I love Caruso. This comes down to, you traded a winning player in Alex Crusoe for a losing player in Josh Giddy, who I'll admit, Josh Kitty is young. That's not a joke. But you get it. Josh Kitty is young. Could develop into something bigger. Here's the problem, though. Here's the fucking problem. Oklahoma City has 1000 draft picks. The Chicago Bulls have no direction they want. They're happy to win 40 games every single year and, and flirt with going to the playoffs.

[00:31:44]

Never actually be competitive, never actually spend money, never actually be a winning franchise. They just want to fill the entire United center through the end of the season. So we were like, oh, maybe we're going to go to the playoffs. Oh, oh, we'll get bounced in the fucking playing game every single year. How you do a trade with Oklahoma City and don't get at least one draft pick is fucking insane. I swear to God. Oklahoma City, you can, you can get a contact draft pick, a contact high from them. You just stand next to them for long enough and they'll just give you a draft pick because they have so many fucking draft picks and they can't use all the draft picks. And now we got no draft pick when we could have traded Caruso, who I didn't want to trade, but could have traded him at the trade deadline for draft picks. So you basically got a player that's not going to make you better. It got you younger, but it's not going to make you better. And there's also still no future in terms of, oh, maybe we could rebuild or tank or something.

[00:32:40]

They're going to win 40 games, maybe 41 without Alex Caruso. And Alex Cruz is going to be awesome for the Thunder and the Thunder going to be fucking awesome defensively. They're going to win 40 games, 41 games, and then be like, damn, I wish things had gone different. Maybe next year if we roll back, the same thing will happen again. Oh, let's, uh, let's trade a draft pick. This in this. That's what the Bulls will do. That's what the Bulls will do. Two things. One, they're probably going to trade Zach Levine with a draft pick to get rid of them. And then they're also going to probably trade in a historically bad draft. They're probably going to trade up. They're probably going to trade draft pick and trade up to like the 7th pick from eleven. I fucking hate this franchise. They drive me insane. Jerry Reinsworth, sell the goddamn team. You're a joke. You're a fucking joke of a guy and I'm going to miss Caruso. Okay, now let's get to the interview. I'm sorry that I had to do that. I had to rant. So we have Derek White, Adam Thielen, and then we'll end with Fyre fest of the week.

[00:35:48]

Okay, we now welcome on a friend of the program. Very, very, very special guest because he just won an NBA title. It is Derek White. He's back with us. And if you hear that buzzing in the background, Hank is getting his head. He's starting the process of getting his head shaved. Let's start there because we want to talk about the game and the championship and everything. But did you see the clip of coach Missoula telling Hank that he has to have his head shaved by Friday afternoon?

[00:36:19]

Yeah, yeah, I saw it. I know when Joe put the pressure on him, it was going to get done.

[00:36:23]

Yeah, yeah.

[00:36:24]

He had no choice. I got a question for you. Just about anatomy. Really? Do you consider is the face part of your head?

[00:36:32]

It's got a.

[00:36:33]

So. So when Hank said that he was going to shave his head, does that mean the beard too?

[00:36:45]

Yeah. All right. So Derek, do you have any tips for Hank once he goes full cuz? Hank, have you ever been fully shaven, bicked? Never. He's never. So is there anything that you need to tell him tips wise?

[00:36:57]

Probably put some sunscreen on your head. You don't want to get a sunburn on the head.

[00:37:01]

Yeah.

[00:37:04]

I don't know. Enjoy. Enjoy the process.

[00:37:06]

Yeah.

[00:37:06]

Does he have to put, like, moisturizer lotion, anything like that? Any special care?

[00:37:12]

Yeah, yeah, moisturize it. Lotion, you know, you don't want to be looking ashy on top of your head.

[00:37:17]

Yeah, we can't have that as a podcast.

[00:37:19]

Yeah, yeah.

[00:37:20]

He's going to look good. So, Derek, you look good. I just saw that big smile. You got your tooth fixed.

[00:37:26]

Yeah, I got it fixed this morning.

[00:37:28]

Okay. Because we were wondering if you were going to have that, that, that chipped tooth still for the parade, because during the game, when it happened and you came out, you had that big smile on your face. It looked like you were kind of enjoying it. You were like, yeah, you know what? There's a battle scar that I've got right now.

[00:37:44]

I mean, at first I thought, like, my whole tooth was gone. And I'm like, my tooth is gone. They're like, oh, no, it just chipped. I'm like, oh, let's go. Yeah. And then, like, there was, like, a couple of seconds I was, like, trying to hide it, and then I'm like, the moment I opened my mouth, like, everybody's gonna see it, so I just gotta embrace it.

[00:38:00]

Yeah.

[00:38:01]

Yeah. It becomes an iconic photo. Now, this is maybe a really dumb thought that I had in the moment, but you win a title, it's the peak of your professional career. You probably can't be happier. Was there a small part of you that was like, God damn it, I wish my tooth wasn't fucked up for this.

[00:38:19]

Yeah. After, like, everybody's doing pictures, everything. I didn't smile at one picture. Yeah, my out closed, like, the entire time. And, like, for that moment, I was like, yeah, I wish my tooth wasn't right now.

[00:38:32]

Yeah. How was Miami with the guys?

[00:38:35]

It was a lot of fun. It was just great to go out there and enjoy the heat and we had a lot of fun.

[00:38:43]

Yeah.

[00:38:44]

What was the environment like in the locker room afterwards? Who was celebrating the hardest?

[00:38:50]

I don't know. It was just a zoo of people coming in and out. And, I mean, brizzy is brizzy's birthday today. Happy birthday. And he was. He was celebrating pretty hard.

[00:39:01]

Yeah. I mean, it was incredible season. You guys accomplished so much. And you, I mean, you especially played out of your mind. It felt like for the entire entirety of the playoffs, did you. Did you feel like this was, like, the best basketball you've ever played personally, where, like, everything seems to be clicking at the right time with this team?

[00:39:20]

Yeah. Yeah, I mean, I felt confident going into the playoffs, and I was excited to play playoff basketball. There's nothing like it. And so I felt confident going in and just wanted to just do whatever it takes to help us win, and, I mean, it was just a special ride.

[00:39:37]

Yeah. Is there? I would imagine not because you just won a championship, but do you think there'll be a moment in the next couple of days where you're like, man, I wish we had a game?

[00:39:47]

No.

[00:39:48]

Okay.

[00:39:48]

All right.

[00:39:48]

All right. So that was a dumb thought. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I don't know. You guys were so good, and you were dominating everyone that, like, it had to have been so much fun these last two months.

[00:39:57]

Yeah. No, but, like, being around the guys and, like, just the team that we had, it was just a lot of fun, so I won't miss that part of it, but I'm really gonna enjoy this championship. I can't wait for the parade tomorrow. It's gonna be crazy. He's gonna hopefully not get too late.

[00:40:15]

Get too lit.

[00:40:16]

Hank will make sure that it gets.

[00:40:18]

Yeah. Get. Get all the way lit. Come on. You have to.

[00:40:20]

You never know. You guys feel like you're a good enough team where you might get back here again, but you never know. So you have to celebrate like it's your last time.

[00:40:28]

Yeah.

[00:40:29]

Yeah, yeah. I mean, yeah. Definitely gonna enjoy this one.

[00:40:32]

Yeah.

[00:40:33]

So, during the finals, you guys are obviously already such an accomplished team with such good players. I don't know how much, like, a pregame speech matters or if coaches even bother giving pregame pump up speeches and delivering certain messages, or if it's just like, you know, your assignment. We've worked on this. Go out there, and let's execute. But did. Did coach give a pump up speech before the last game?

[00:40:55]

We had Nick Lavery come in and talk to us, and he's talked to us throughout the whole year. Super badass green beret amputee, like, went to war. He's crazy story. But he came in and talked to us and was just like, I'm looking at some soldiers right here. And, like, he kind of just got us all in the right mindset, and we knew we were going to win at that time.

[00:41:20]

Yeah.

[00:41:21]

You could feel it.

[00:41:21]

Yeah. What. What was the vibe like on Friday night after you guys lost in Dallas? Was there any wavering? Any, like, that was pretty crazy. We got our asses kicked. You're like, you listen, one game is one game. We're the better team.

[00:41:35]

Yeah. I mean, obviously, I think, like, before the game, everything's like, just, like, you're like, oh, it's almost over. Like, you can, like, just see it, and then, like, you just get your ass kicked, and you're just like, what just happened? But, I mean, I was like, hey, we're slept three one. Like, I got nothing to worry about. I remember, like, going. Talking to my family and friends. I was like, come on, let's. Let's have some more energy here. Like, it's still three one. Like, we get to go back home and try to close it at home. Like, let's do it.

[00:42:02]

Yeah. I wonder, like, is that a human nature loss? In a way? In game four, where it's like, you. You all say the right things, you think the right things, but it's pretty. It's. I would imagine it's impossible not to have a creep in the back of your head. We're like, we could win a title tonight, and having, like, the planning in the back your head and then having that reset probably helped.

[00:42:21]

Yeah. Yeah. I mean, like, especially because, I mean, outside Drew, we'd had one before, and so, like, you just kind of, like, you kind of look ahead.

[00:42:29]

Yeah.

[00:42:30]

There's still a really good team, and that's what happens when you don't. You're not really focused on what we needed to focus on.

[00:42:37]

Yeah.

[00:42:38]

Are you. Are you aware of how good Peyton Pritchard is with 0.5 seconds left in every quarter?

[00:42:44]

Yeah, he's unreal. That's, like, my one thing, like, I missed about because, like, he subbed in for me, and I, like, walk straight to the my teeth fix, and I just hear, like, I'm in the tunnel. I just hear the garden erupt, and I'm like, what happened? And someone just like, peyton. I'm like, oh, he's unbelievable.

[00:43:00]

Yeah. Is there a small part of you that's like, man, how come he's better than me in the last, like, just second of every quarter? What is it about that? Is it. I know it's something that you guys practice, right? It's like, this is Peyton time.

[00:43:11]

Yeah.

[00:43:12]

Yeah.

[00:43:12]

I mean, like, he hit that one earlier in the finals, but he's been doing it all season long. And, like, everybody knows, like, end of the quarter, like, you get the ball to pay, and he's just gonna make the shot, obviously, and it's unbelievable.

[00:43:24]

Yeah.

[00:43:25]

There's two things he's really good at, making those shots and also shooting free throws blindfolded.

[00:43:30]

Yeah.

[00:43:31]

Tough loss for us still to this day.

[00:43:33]

Yeah.

[00:43:33]

Yeah.

[00:43:34]

That was probably the biggest loss the Celtics took all year. Yeah.

[00:43:36]

We're actually NBA champions.

[00:43:38]

Yeah.

[00:43:39]

Well done. Congrats, you guys.

[00:43:41]

I do have a little bit of a bone to pick with you, though, because when you came in in February and I told the story how I was in an elevator with you in, uh, October. Yeah, it was October. And I. I awkwardly was like, oh, yeah, our producers, a big Celtics fan. You're like, I know who you guys are. Um, why didn't you tell me then that you guys were going to win it all? That would have been nice. A little heads up.

[00:44:02]

Hey, I had a good feeling then, too.

[00:44:04]

Okay? You should have. Should have shared it with me. Been like. Got a really good feeling.

[00:44:09]

I feel like you had a good feeling about us, too.

[00:44:11]

Yeah. I mean, I thought you guys were the best team. I I did think the Nuggets were the only team that would have given you guys a series, but I still. Even if the Nuggets had made it, I think you guys would have won because he proved it out all year long. So it was. It was pretty, like, there's. There's very few titles that you can really look at. And I know that people say all the east is easy, but losing three games in the playoffs is like. That says it all right there. It's crazy. You guys went, what, ten games in a row that you won like, that? That doesn't happen.

[00:44:41]

Yeah. Yeah, I know. It's been a fun year. Like, we never really had, like, a drought. Like, we were just consistently that team. And, I mean, just to be able to win a championship is unreal.

[00:44:53]

Yeah.

[00:44:53]

Do you think about that? Like, comparing yourself in this title run that you went on to other title teams in the past and just how you would stack up to other teams? Or are you just focused on enjoying how good it feels to win a championship?

[00:45:06]

Yeah. I mean, you think about it, you're like, I mean, we're one of the all time teams. Obviously, I'm biased, and so I'm gonna say, but just, you think about it like, you are just enjoying it. Like, it didn't matter we lost three games. Like, as long as we get 16 wins in the playoffs, like, it doesn't matter. And so. But I do think, like, we are one of those teams, and it's a special run.

[00:45:29]

Yeah.

[00:45:29]

One of the best ones ever. So there was a report that came out. I think it was last weekend. I don't know if it's been updated yet, but apparently you're under consideration for the Olympic team to fill in for Kawhi. If he can't make it. Is that something that you're thinking about? And is that. Is that any, like, has that progressed at all since last weekend?

[00:45:48]

That's funny, because when that report came out, like, that was when I found out about it, too. So I was just like, oh, really? Like, I haven't heard anything, so. But if I do get an opportunity to play, for sure.

[00:46:01]

Yeah, yeah. Right? By the way, JJ Reddick was just named Lakers head coach.

[00:46:05]

Okay, official shout out, JJ. Shout out your fan.

[00:46:11]

I'm a fan of JJ.

[00:46:12]

Yeah, he's got. It's good for. It's. Let's just say this right now. It's good for the podcast community. That means that we could probably get a job as a head coach.

[00:46:19]

Representation matters, right?

[00:46:20]

Yes. I can now see myself in a job as a head coach in the NBA.

[00:46:25]

There we go.

[00:46:26]

Yeah.

[00:46:27]

Yeah, but you can do the NFL.

[00:46:30]

Yeah, I don't. I don't think I could do. I could do the. I could do the NBA. You just be like, hey, guys, hustle, rebound more.

[00:46:36]

Just roll the ball out there.

[00:46:37]

Here you go, LeBron. Right?

[00:46:39]

What?

[00:46:40]

Just make some threes.

[00:46:41]

Yeah. Just hit. Hey, it's a make or miss league. Gotta make your shots. That's all I say. Before. Before every game to the guys.

[00:46:47]

Here's how I would coach the Lakers. I'd say, all right, LeBron, we're drafting your son. So you're happy now? Problem solved. Also, Anthony Davis, you're not actually hurt. Get back in the game.

[00:46:56]

Right?

[00:46:57]

That's what I would say to him. And then, boom, we just upped our efficiency by, like, 30% right there.

[00:47:03]

I don't know if you're getting the job.

[00:47:04]

Probably not. Probably not. They don't want me.

[00:47:06]

All right, I got a question that's. I don't want to jinx anything, but I just. Another human nature question. You're up for an extension and a lot of money. Have you let yourself think about it at all? I mean, it's pretty cool, and you deserve it, and I'm very happy for you, but has your mind wandered a little? I know there's negotiations that have to happen. I'm sure you want to stay in Boston, but have you at least, like, had that moment where, like, I've been playing so good that this is now on the table for me?

[00:47:33]

Yeah. I mean, I thought about signing an extension before the season started, and when that, like, deadline passed, I hadn't really thought about it too much, but I know my agent and the team are going to talk, and I mean, I'd love to stay in Boston for as long as I can, and I'm hopeful everything's going to work out exciting and. But, yeah, at the moment, I'm just going to join a championship, and we'll worry about that later.

[00:47:59]

Yeah. Oh, I have a. I heard your kid screaming in the background. I have a dad to dad question. Have you had that moment where you, like, had to get back into dad life and, like, take care, like, clean a diaper or something? You're like, God damn it, I'm a world champion.

[00:48:13]

Yeah. This morning, I had a change at a poopy diaper. I'm like, is there nobody else around here? Like, I still gotta do this?

[00:48:21]

Yeah, yeah. It's like, I would definitely, if I won a championship. Like, I at least get a week.

[00:48:26]

Yeah.

[00:48:26]

Let me get someone to help me out here. I just want to ring.

[00:48:29]

Yeah, don't take the trash out anymore. It's like that 50 cent tweet. Like, fuck this. I'm too famous.

[00:48:34]

Yeah.

[00:48:34]

Going home.

[00:48:35]

That's probably good to bring you back. To bring you back to, like, level. Like, oh, yeah, I'm still a dad.

[00:48:40]

Yeah. The kids change your perspective, and, like, when you need it the most, that's what they're here for.

[00:48:44]

Yeah. Wait, how old is your oldest?

[00:48:46]

Two.

[00:48:47]

Okay. So you got to win some more so they can have, you know, clearer memories. That's. That's your motivation now.

[00:48:54]

Yeah, I know. This was game, and then my youngest is seven months, and he wasn't at the game. So I'm like, now I got to get another one for you. Dax.

[00:49:03]

Yeah, yeah, yeah. Dax.

[00:49:04]

A fair weather fan. I don't know. Like, he was. He's not that picture. Did you make sure to get a picture with your oldest, though? Like, right after the game on the court with the confetti?

[00:49:11]

Yeah, yeah.

[00:49:12]

Like, they got.

[00:49:12]

I got a bunch of pictures, and, like, he was there when I was doing the interview and everything, so that's gonna be pretty cool to look back on.

[00:49:19]

That's awesome.

[00:49:19]

That's really cool. I got some advice for you during the parade. So there's always. It feels like there's always one player on a team right after the winning championship. They might be in the middle of a contract negotiation, like you are. They get too lit, as you would say, and then they get up to the podium, and then they just say something their agent wants to kill them for. It's like, I don't care. I'm sticking around. Whatever. Just don't say that. Just don't say, just be like, I love Boston. Just stick with, like, yeah, I love Boston. Be like, I'll take a pay cut. Let's run it back. Because then that sets you up in a weird space, and your agent will actually want you dead at that point.

[00:49:51]

Yeah, I just told my boy that, like, earlier today, I was like, every parade, there's always one lie, at least going out there. I'm not trying to be a part of that.

[00:50:00]

Yeah, you could also do. You. You could do a little bait and switch where you're like. Like, Steve Kerr did it in the. I think it was 97. You should be like, listen, I know that everyone was debating who should be the finals mvp, and I'm okay that I didn't win it, even though I should have something like that. So everyone's like, oh, he's gonna talk about Jalen and Jason, then get him. They get him like that.

[00:50:23]

That's an all time. I don't know. I gotta think of something pretty creative to top that, but.

[00:50:29]

Yeah, yeah, that one.

[00:50:31]

Yeah, yeah, yeah. So with. With the injury that was. That happened to KP, we were talking about it before. Game was a game for game three. We didn't think that he was going to be able to play on that at all. And he's still out there running around. Did you get a sense for how bad that injury was, and was it something that you were surprised that he came back from?

[00:50:53]

Yeah, I still don't know really what it was and what it is, and so you could just tell he, like, really wanted to play. And, like, a game three, like, he was out, but, like, game four, like, they said he was active, but, like, I don't know how. How well, you're moving right now and shooting around, but KP, you never really know. Like, before game one, he wasn't moving too great, and then he has a crazy first half, and I'm so, like. I was like, I. He's. Christoph Brezing is, like, he'll figure it out. So any. Any chance you can get on the court and he'll help us out?

[00:51:24]

Yeah, yeah, yeah. Have you talked to Blake Griffin at all? I really wish he had taken up Joe Missoula's offer and come back just so he'd have a ring. But have you. Have you spoken with him since you won't?

[00:51:37]

No, I haven't spoken to him yet, but I know it would be great that if Blake was on our team and he could have a ring for his great career.

[00:51:44]

But I said, I told you guys he should have a ring. You said, no, I think he should have a ring.

[00:51:50]

Yeah.

[00:51:50]

I think Blake deserves a lifetime achievement ring.

[00:51:53]

Yeah.

[00:51:54]

Hey, I'm sure we can send him one.

[00:51:56]

Yeah, let's make it happen, Blake.

[00:51:58]

Ring.

[00:51:59]

So right now, Hank is still waiting to get his hair shaved. Right now, he's just. He just looks good, I think. Just got a good haircut and a beard trim. And then he sent the barber on his way and said, okay. That your service is no longer required.

[00:52:10]

Yeah, he looks awesome right now. This is the last. You're going to look awesome.

[00:52:14]

I'm excited. I'm excited for tomorrow.

[00:52:15]

Derek, was there a moment when you went full shave where you're like, oh, shit, this was a mistake? Cause Hank's gonna have that for a couple days, you guys.

[00:52:23]

I didn't really have a choice.

[00:52:24]

Well, no, Coach Missoula told you that it wouldn't. You have to get your head shaded. Yeah, but was there a moment, Derek, where you're like, oh, man, this was a mistake?

[00:52:34]

I mean, just at first, like, moment when, like, they just go straight over. They like, I was like, damn, this is really happening. But, I mean, I'm cool with this. So I think Hanks and gonna be great with us.

[00:52:47]

Yeah.

[00:52:47]

Good, good.

[00:52:48]

Showers are gonna be so easy now. Hank, you don't. You don't have to worry about shampoo, conditioner. You just get in, Rinse, get out. Drew.

[00:52:55]

Yeah. You might also find, like, a whole community of women that love bald men for a whole summer. Summer.

[00:53:00]

Hank, back on, might get hired as the D coordinator for Pete Carroll.

[00:53:04]

Yeah. All these things could happen.

[00:53:06]

Could happen.

[00:53:06]

Yeah.

[00:53:08]

Oh, streamline less.

[00:53:09]

He's making progress. I don't know if you saw, but he tried to dunk in front of Danny Ainge, and he's making progress.

[00:53:17]

There we go. Here we go.

[00:53:19]

We're going to get it.

[00:53:20]

Not really, but I'm trying to keep positive for him, because having a big week.

[00:53:25]

We're gonna get there.

[00:53:26]

Yeah. Yeah.

[00:53:27]

I believe in Hank. I think that he's made a lot of progress in the last couple months. What, like six inches, four inches of vertical?

[00:53:34]

Six.

[00:53:34]

Six.

[00:53:35]

So you're tracking to be able to dunk.

[00:53:36]

Yeah.

[00:53:37]

Speaking. Speaking of the. The executive side of things, did. Did Brad Stevens, did he show up in the locker room? Was he getting torn up after the game?

[00:53:45]

Yeah, he was there at the beginning. Um, and then, like, we had media. I didn't see him again. So, um, might have snuck out the back somewhere.

[00:53:53]

I think if there's one person I want to see absolutely hammered at the parade. It's Brad Stevens.

[00:53:57]

Yeah, that would be.

[00:53:58]

That would be very funny.

[00:53:59]

Yeah, be fun.

[00:54:00]

So you probably get a cop would probably come up an IDM.

[00:54:02]

Yeah.

[00:54:03]

Be like, sir, are you over 21? Okay. All right, proceed.

[00:54:06]

Is it. How does it work with Brad Stevens? Because he obviously, like, picked you out and traded for you and saw in you, like, what you've become as a player. Is there a special bond with him where he's like, you know, obviously there's other guys who believed in you, but he specifically was like, Derek White is a perfect piece for this team.

[00:54:24]

Yeah. Yeah. He's been amazing. I mean, he's a great basketball mind. Like, you could tell just when he was a coach. But now that he's doing what he's doing now, like, everything he, he sees and everything he, like, brings to our team has been unbelievable. So he's always supported me. He's always believed in me. Even from my first year in Boston when I didn't feel like I played that great, he always believed in me and saw something in me, so I'm always thankful for that.

[00:54:53]

Yeah.

[00:54:53]

Yeah.

[00:54:53]

All right, well, Derek, this has been awesome. We really appreciate you taking some time, especially with the busy week. I got one last question. Roback question. Promo code. Take 20% off your first purchase. Qzips, polos, hoodies, joggers, shorts. Roback.com. who do we think is going to be drunk as the parade?

[00:55:12]

So my dad said he's like, I've just seen a Reddit post, and I was one of the top vote getters.

[00:55:17]

Okay, are you going to be up there?

[00:55:20]

I was like, I mean, I could see that. So, yeah, probably. I'll probably be up there. I mean, O'Shea is just his birthday, so I'm going to go back with him.

[00:55:28]

Yep.

[00:55:30]

And I can see Sam Houser as the sneaky drunkest one. Sam Houser, that's my dark horse.

[00:55:35]

Yeah. Wisconsin guy. Yeah, he can drink.

[00:55:37]

Yeah, jt probably, too.

[00:55:40]

Yeah, JT. Yeah, KP. I mean, like, eastern Europeans can really put him back. Yeah, they got a high tolerance, so they're probably not. He's not going to be the drunkest, but he might have the most to drink.

[00:55:50]

Yeah.

[00:55:51]

This will look normal.

[00:55:52]

Yeah.

[00:55:52]

He's the most likely for me to, like, crowd surf or, like, you know, a clip of someone throwing him a beer or something like that.

[00:55:59]

Yeah. Gronk style. Smash it on the boat.

[00:59:03]

Okay, we now welcome on a very special guest is Carolina Panthers wide receiver Adam Thielen. And we're also. Adam Thielen is about to get ready to play in the american century celebrity golf championship in Tahoe, which we will be there. So let's start there. We got some football questions, but let's start with golf. What are we thinking going into this? Are we thinking you're going to win it? Like, I'd love a guarantee right now, but how is your golf game shaping up for this tournament?

[00:59:34]

Well, unfortunately, I can't. I can't give a guarantee. You know, three young kids at the house makes a little difficult to give a guarantee. But I will say I'm never going into that tournament thinking I'm not going to try to go win it. So I'm going to do everything I can. I got to simulate the house. I'm grinding away on that. I'm seeking out a few rounds here and there to get prepared, but it's the best week of the year. I'm glad you guys are going. It's something special there in Tahoe. Not only is Tahoe special, obviously, but then you add in the golf tournament. American century does a great job just hosting a phenomenal event, not only for the celebrities, but for the fans. There's really no other fan experience like it, in my opinion.

[01:00:11]

Yeah, we're, we're so pumped. This is one of those events that we've, like, circled for many years, being like, why aren't we out there? And finally, we're going to go out there. So we're pumped. What's your, what's your handicap right now?

[01:00:21]

So I'm a one right now. I started the season as a zero because I usually grind it down to about a zero going into Tahoe. And then I play maybe one round after Tahoe, and then it's like, boom, training camp. Don't touch a club for six months. And then I'm like, now I'm like, grinding just to kind of bring it back to a zero. But, yeah, I'm a one right now.

[01:00:40]

So you actually could win this thing. Who would you say is your biggest competition?

[01:00:44]

So there's like ten guys, probably maybe a few more, that have legitimately have a chance to win it. You know, I think every year it's pretty much Marty fish, you know, Mark Mulder, Smoltz, Pavelski. I mean, there's more guys, but those are the guys that kind of usually win it or are right there at the end. I mean, obviously Curry won it last year. He won't be there, but, but he's always a guy that's, that's in the top ten. So, like I said, there's about ten to 15 guys or females, you know, Annika, that really have a legitimate chance to win it. So it all depends on how hot of a start you get and then how consistent you can play.

[01:01:20]

Do you have any holes in one?

[01:01:21]

I have zero. Wild. I played a lot of golf in my life. Started when I was like three years old. Zero hole in ones. My dad, who played, started playing when he was like 55 years old and really didn't start playing until I retired last year. Like, a lot of golf, he already has like three hole in one, so I'm like, what is going on? And he probably averages 100 around. So it's crazy how that works out. But, yeah, hopefully, hopefully I'll get it on 17 in Tahoe this year, and then I'll sprint in there, I'll dive into the, into the lake, try to catch football in the process, and. And then I probably won't finish.

[01:01:54]

Do you think maybe your dad's lying to you? Maybe he's just jealous that you're so good at golf, so he just tells you that he gets all these holes in one, so that way just. It pisses you off.

[01:02:02]

Well, that's a good point, because every time I play with him, he thinks, like, you know, I. My. Probably the strongest part of my game is I hit the ball a long way. I always have since I was little, even when I was 150 pounds soaking wet in high school. And so my dad, whenever he plays with me, he thinks that he's going to, like, try to, like, hit it as far as me, and so he swings out of his shoes. He's like, basically falling over when he's swinging. So, yeah, maybe that's a good point. Maybe he's just like, all right, well, this is what I got on you, so I'm gonna, I'm gonna make it up and say that I got these hole in one just so I have something on you.

[01:02:30]

Yeah. Yeah. All right. Dumb question. It might not be a dumb question, but last year wasn't the best for the Panthers. How much did it suck?

[01:02:40]

Yeah, it was brutal. It was brutal. You know, losing in any, you know, sport, obviously, or anything you do, losing is never fun, especially when you're competitors and especially when you put so much into it. Right. Like, we got these Otas. We got all the officers of training that we do our own. You know, you go through training camp and, like, the grind is only worth it if you, like, have, like, a good year, you know? And so it's. It was definitely tough. There was a lot of adversity throughout it, a lot of kind of stuff that people probably never know that happened. It's just, you know, that you can't make up. But at the end of the day, I believe not only was it probably the best thing that ever happened to me, just learning how to deal with adversity, learning how to be a leader through major storms, but I think for, you know, Bryce, a lot of the young guys, maybe some of the coaches that we still have around, like, all of our defense staff, I think it's probably the best thing that ever happened to us because it really teaches you a lot when you.

[01:03:34]

When you're winning and everything is great, you're not really learning a lot, you know, the most, you know, I think the most, you know. You know, things that you get better at the most are when things aren't good.

[01:03:47]

Yeah.

[01:03:47]

And so we were able to get a lot of that last year.

[01:03:50]

Yeah, I like, and obviously, it's kind of a jokey question, but I'm more like. Because we're. We're obviously sports fans. We're watching all the games, and when you have a team that's losing, the jokes get made. But I would imagine just, like, having to show up and do your job every day has to take a little bit of a mental toll in that season where it's like we're doing the process and then we're not getting the results.

[01:04:12]

Yeah, 100%. And then on top of that, like, you know, you. To be a good leader, it's not. It's not what you're doing when you're winning, it's what you're doing when you're losing. So every day, it was kind of like a little bit of a pep talk as I'm going to the facility, like, hey, like, I don't really care what's going on in this season, I got to put my, put a smile on my face. I got to have energy. I got to have excitement to go to work every day. And there's a lot of blessings in it, you know, through this year for my family outside of football and, and, and even in the building, just like, the joy that I had coming to work every day was still there, you know, like, obviously, it, like, like we've already talked about it stunk. Losing. It's, it's the worst as a team, you know, as coming together, it's the worst. But there was, there was a lot of joy for me. I realized, it made me realize how much I love the game, how much I love being around people, how much I love sacrificing things to try to add success.

[01:05:02]

So there was a lot of blessings.

[01:05:03]

Yeah.

[01:05:03]

Is there something that you're working on this offseason? Because NBA players are always like, you know, I'm going to add this element, this wrinkle to my game. You've been in the league for a long time. You're a pretty good route runner already, but is there something that, that you're trying to work on, to improve on even at this stage in your career?

[01:05:17]

Yeah, for sure. I'm. And people are probably gonna laugh at this. I just saw a thing that came out saying that I'm the oldest active wide receiver in the NFL, which is wild, but I don't feel that way. But, but in that being said, I I want to be the fastest I've ever been. So my goal is to lean out, to be as fast as I've ever been, top end speed, change the direction, and I truly, I think I can do it. I feel great right now. I'm excited to go into training camp to kind of these next four or five weeks, to really train and push, push the tempo, get in the best shape of my life and just to be a complete receiver. You know, I think a lot of times as you get older as a receiver, like, oh, you got to put him in the slot and he's slowing down. But I truly believe that where I'm best is being outside playing one of playing against one on one coverage, beating man coverage, and going to make a play. So my goal is to be as fast and explosive as I possibly can.

[01:06:08]

Yeah.

[01:06:08]

Crazy to say that because you're, it's not like you're 36, 37, you're 33, and that's going to be the oldest receiver in the NFL. That's kind of wild to think about. And when you came out of college, so you were undrafted and having to grind to make the Vikings. We've talked to our good friend Will Compton. He's kind of given us a peek behind the scenes about what it's like being an undrafted guy and having to prove yourself all the extra stuff you have to do, especially that first year. What was the process like of you trying out for the Vikings and when did you realize, I can do this, like, I'm good enough to play in the NFL?

[01:06:43]

Yeah. So it was, it's crazy being on dredge. Obviously, now that I, like, look back at it, it probably makes me more like anxious or anxiety or, like nervous looking back at it than I was in the moment. In the moment, I was just, like, going to work, playing football, having fun, not even really thinking about getting cut or what that looks like. As an undrafted guy, especially. But, yeah, it's a wild process. I think for me, I got very little reps in preseason. I think I got like three reps my first preseason. I go back to training camp and, like, I felt like I was making plays and I'm like, you know, in rookie camp, obviously was making plays because I was, I was not even signed at the moment. And then, you know, after rookie camp, I was signed and given an opportunity to go to training camp and see what happened. But in preseason games, I was getting zero reps, zero. So it was hard to really prove myself to other teams. So I'm thinking like, man, if I get released and not on practice squad, like, I'm probably, this is probably it.

[01:07:37]

But thankfully, the Vikings saw something in me, put me on practice squad, and that's when I really knew that I could do this at a high level because during that first year of being on practice squad, I was able to go against the starters every single day, and it was my goal to make them as mad as possible every single day. And so when I started beating the starters day in, day out consistently, didn't matter if it was in the field or in the red zone, it didn't matter. Like, I was going out there with a mission to show them, like, I am going to whoop you every single day and show that I can play at a high level. And when I started doing that on a consistent basis, I knew I could play at a high level. It was just now it's like, all right, like, how do I get an opportunity going into the next year? I go and same kind of type of deal. I'm like, you know, playing some special teams, like maybe the 7th, 8th receiver thankfully got an opportunity to that, to make the active roster and basically just play special teams.

[01:08:31]

And again, I made it my mission that I was going to dominate my role. I was going to go out there, and every single time I stepped on that field, I was going to be noticed on tape. And I kind of kept doing that, doing that until I got an opportunity to play receiver and made the most of it in the rest of history.

[01:08:46]

Yeah. I mean, it's an incredible story. I also love the fact that you weren't invited the combine, and then you did the regional combine and you finished with, like, top 20 times. That had to feel good and being like, hey, you ran a four, four, five, which I don't know how you're going to get faster than that. That's a crazy statement. I. Maybe you will, but that had to feel at least a moment where, like, I belong here. You guys didn't invite me to the combine, and I went and I showed out, and if I had been invited to combine, I would have been a top 20 guy in terms of metrics.

[01:09:16]

Yeah, it's, it's, it's wild because I don't think people even know that those are my times.

[01:09:20]

Right.

[01:09:21]

Like, some of the numbers that stack up against the guys that were in the draft. And so at the time when I, when I got those results back, I'm like, oh, heck. Like, I might get, I might get drafted. Like, late, late rounds. Like, there was never a question about my tape. Like, could I run rounds? Could I catch the football? Like, there was never a question about that. It was more like, oh, he's a g two guy. Like, can he run? You know, competition wasn't great, blah, blah. So when I started putting those numbers up, I'm like, well, they don't really have anything to say that I can't do. And obviously, that's not how they think about it. I don't think a lot of people still even knew who I was. I still remember the day that I went to that super regional combine in Dallas and at the stadium there, and I kind of, you know, like I said, I put those numbers up. So you're getting some scouts coming up to you, talking to you, and, and so I'm like, man, like, this is a real opportunity to get drafted here. And before that, I'm like, there's no way I'll get drafted.

[01:10:16]

Opportunity.

[01:10:17]

Yeah.

[01:10:18]

But, yeah, it's crazy that still didn't, didn't really get any interest at all after that.

[01:10:22]

Yeah, I want to go back to, like, halfway through your career for the Vikings, when Teddy Bridgewater was the quarterback and he gets injured, did you throw up?

[01:10:32]

Well, I was. I didn't throw up, but, man, I have a vivid memory of that. I was as close to Teddy as you probably could be. I wasn't in on the play, but I was, like, right behind where the quarterback stands on that play. I believe, if I remember right, I believe it's just like a jog through. We were, like, going into week one, we were just finished up all of our preseason games, and so it's kind of like a jog through practice right before they make all the cuts going into week one. And he just was taking a three quarter speed drop and stumbled and tripped a little bit and stepped wrong. And I will never forget what that looked like. And then just the panic and what just happened, ensued after that with no one, really, everybody in shock, but, I mean, unbelievable job by the training staff and those guys, the medical staff, to really save Teddy and give him another chance at save his leg and give him another chance at playing at a high level. Going into that game is kind of wild because we just had played a preseason game, I believe it was against the Chargers at home.

[01:11:34]

And going into that, we were, like, going to that week one, we're like, man, like, this is our year. Like, Teddy's lights out right now. He's taking this, like, crazy leadership role and just flourishing in that, like, so confident. And if any, if any of you guys have been around Teddy, like, he is one of the most fun people to be around because he has this really cool ability to relate to everybody and have fun and, but also be serious at the same time. So, like, there was a lot of, there was a lot of expectations there, and when that happened, everybody was just kind of, like, in shock and didn't know how to feel.

[01:12:08]

So. So we were in a Vegas airport on a flight to Minnesota to come to your facility to interview Teddy and Zimmer and, like, everyone. And we were literally sitting, waiting for our flight when we saw the news. We still came, but the Vikings stashed us in, like, a basement and, like, didn't. It was, it was crazy. We showed up the next day and the facility, like, we saw it firsthand, everyone in shock. So we're always linked to Teddy Bridgewater being like, man, we were this close to interviewing all the guys and. And that happened. Did, did someone throw up?

[01:12:40]

Oh, man, that's. I can't. I can't confirm or deny that.

[01:12:44]

Okay, someone did. Yeah. Yeah, someone probably.

[01:12:46]

I mean, honestly, like, I'm telling you, I'm still. Still, like. Like, I'm in shock from that moment, like, still to this day. Like, it was just. You can't explain it. You can't explain the feeling. You can't explain anything, because everyone was like, no one knew what to do, and no one knew what was gonna happen. No one knew what was going on with Teddy. Like, it was. It was crazy. And something that I'll never forget, obviously.

[01:13:09]

Yeah.

[01:13:10]

It must have been a wild day. Also, during your tenure with the Vikings. This is 2015. A very important contract dispute went down. I'm curious to hear, kind of, like, what. What happened behind the scenes, if you guys had any strong thoughts about it. Your unofficial mascot, Ragnar the Viking. You remember Ragnar used to drive the motorcycle out onto the field. This is where I think the Vikings really took a big misstep here. He held out, and he demanded a ten year contract for $1.6 million. And the Vikings said, no, we don't need you to drive the motorcycle in the field anymore. This negotiation is over. And they kind of wash their hands of Ragnar. Were you trying to support Ragnar behind the scenes like we were? Did you advocate like, hey, you got to pay your best guys, you know, let's get Ragnar paid here so we can keep the good vibes going? Or were you. Were you in favor of the team line at that point and say, you know what? That's money that could be used on facilities?

[01:14:09]

Well, I'll say this. I have a different perspective because I grew up going to Vikings camps as a kid and seeing it, and one of the coolest things, you're in the metrodome, like, loud environment. The noises are echoing in there, and then you got the Ragnar and the motorcycle, ramping it up brings them out of the tunnel, like, one of the coolest things ever, in my opinion. And then for that to happen, obviously, I'm a big Ragnar fan. I love to have back. In fact, I think, why not bring him back now?

[01:14:38]

Yeah.

[01:14:38]

You know, get him out. I think. I think he's, like, a high school principal, or he was at the time. That was a story. And. And he wanted. He demanded the raise, and they. They said no. So tough, tough negotiations there. But. But I think they bring him back.

[01:14:52]

I think that's a reasonable request. $1.6 million, eight home games a season, ten years. He wanted to be a Viking for life. He wanted to be locked up at that point. You gotta take care of your guys. You gotta pay rags.

[01:15:03]

Yeah. Lock a guy up like, that, yeah.

[01:15:05]

Just a big time vibes guy. Was that hard for you since, you know, you grew up in Minnesota, you're a Vikings fan, you play football in college at Minnesota, you go to the Vikings. Was it, was it hard for you to leave? Did you, would you ever see a world where you're like, yeah, I am going to test free agency. Yeah, I'll go play somewhere else, or how did that process go down?

[01:15:25]

Well, I was about to say, you know, Ragnar wanted to be a viking for life. So did I, and it didn't work out for either of us. So. Yeah, no, it was tough. It was tough. It was a weird thing. Once you get into year ten with the team, you're kind of thinking like, man, getting close to the end, hopefully can just finish it out. And obviously, what a story. Grew up a Vikings fan, never left the state of Minnesota. High school, college, and then the NFL, was able to be a part of some awesome teams. And I'm like, man, this is like storybook ending, right? I got to watch Chad Greenway come out of the tunnel the last time, like, knew he was retiring. One of the coolest moments, like, chills down your body. I always thought that would be me someday. And then for that to kind of end the way it did was, it was a real bummer, obviously, but at the end of the day, it's a business. And, like, if I put myself in their shoes, I probably would have felt like doing the same thing, you know, old, old receiver, you know, coming out of his prime.

[01:16:26]

You know, they got some young guys coming up. I totally understand where they were coming from. And at the same time, I felt like, hey, like, I can still play at a high level and I don't want to retire yet. So, yeah, I get it. I got no hard feelings. I love the Minnesota Vikings organization. I love everybody in that building. I still have such a great connection with so many people in that building. So that probably makes it even harder because I'm like, man, I'm in Minnesota right now for little month break. I just want to go over the building and say what's up to everybody, but it's just a little bit different. But when I'm done playing and stuff, obviously I'll be back there and, you know, can't wait to be able to reunite with a lot of those guys.

[01:17:06]

That's awesome. So the, the beef was squashed with the Vikings. What about your beef with Belichick still going on? That's not squash. Yeah. Tell your side of the story at.

[01:17:18]

The roast with Tom Brady, so I could, you know, Rose Belichick. But no, no, there's no. No hard feels there. Obviously, so much respect for that guy, man, playing against his defenses. Wow, that was, that was not fun, especially when, when you were making plays and stuff, he's just going to take you out of the game any way possible. But, yeah, I was. I was a little frustrated at the time.

[01:17:39]

Yeah.

[01:17:39]

What.

[01:17:40]

So what exactly happened? It was. It was injury that he then was able to use to challenge a play, and then afterwards he did a blow by on the handshakes.

[01:17:48]

Yeah. So I didn't, I felt like there was a little bit of, I don't want to say cheating, but there's a little bit of, like, stretching the rules, and we were, like, losing at them at the time. I was frustrated. They were double teaming me. I wasn't getting to be able to do my thing, and I'm a little bit hot headed. I've had to work on over my career. So I saw him kind of look at a player. Player takes a knee, he's not even injured, but he takes a knee, gives him time. Like, we, they had given us the first down. We were finally starting to get a little momentum, and then, you know, he was able to challenge the play, and I was. I wasn't too happy, so I just kind of let him know like, that. I didn't. I didn't feel like that was the right thing to do. But it is what it is.

[01:18:30]

Yeah. Yeah.

[01:18:30]

So. But everything's okay now?

[01:18:32]

Everything's good. Yeah. I mean, he's not coached anymore, so.

[01:18:34]

I don't have to deal with him. Yeah, that's true.

[01:18:37]

I feel like. I feel like Bill Belichick would historically, really like somebody like you.

[01:18:43]

Well, it's funny, actually, after, after that, I believe that going to that next offseason, he had reached out to the team about, you know, possibly trading for me, trying to get me from there. So. So it must have been, like, a good impression on. He must have liked that kind of tenacity or competitiveness, I guess.

[01:19:02]

Yeah. Yeah. What would. So, Kirk Cousins gets talked about a lot in the media. He's had a really good career, um, obviously your teammate for a long time. What does the media get wrong about Kirk?

[01:19:13]

Well, I think. I think just like, the type of person he is. I mean, again, like, as NFL athletes or athletes in general. Right. Like, people only see what they see on Sundays for us, you know, Sundays, Mondays, whatever, and they don't see the work that gets put in to get there. And that guy is the most process driven person I've ever been around in my life. It's unbelievable. He does not leave any stone unturned. He does not. He. I mean, he will never not be prepared for a game. And when you're on that team, you. You can't. You can't do anything but appreciate that and to really trust it and to buy into it. So I think what people get wrong is. Is like, yeah, he's made a lot of money and no Super Bowls and all that, but, like, he's putting everything he possibly can. He's getting paid that money, and he's not stealing from them. He is putting every ounce of time, effort, money into having the most success as a team and as an individual. So when you see that day in and day out, you're like, you know what? Like, I'm good with it.

[01:20:17]

Like, pay him as much as you got to because he's going to give you as a team a great opportunity to win games just because of his process.

[01:20:24]

Yeah. Has he ever cooked? Grilled for you? Where he put a steak on tinfoil.

[01:20:28]

So I saw the pictures. I feel like this was like, maybe four or five years ago when he posted on. And I texted him immediately, I'm like, what? What is that? And, you know, he didn't like that. You know, he is kind of like.

[01:20:39]

What do you mean?

[01:20:40]

It's just, you know, it's a state, like. But it looked terrible. So I'm actually going out there this summer to his place out in Michigan and going to visit him for a day. So we'll see how his true grilling ability is and if it's any good.

[01:20:55]

Yeah.

[01:20:55]

What were his. His ox cord privileges, like in the weight room? Because I know he's a big creed guy. He likes to blast Creed and nickelback, I think. Was he allowed? Did you guys let him do, like, okay, kirk, you get the playlist for. For one day each summer, or was there. Was there just an open thing, like, if you want to blast Creed, go for it?

[01:21:13]

Well, I think what played into his favor is, like, the old line couldn't have been more on board on that, so. So they took over the Oxford, and, like, 90% of the team hated it. But. But the old line, like, what are you going to do? Like, you're not going to say anything to O linemen? Like, they just kind of, you know, it is what it is. They have their own little fraternity. It's kind of funny, like, when you think about the O line in the NFL, like, pretty much every room I've ever been in or every team I've ever been on that has, like, the O line is kind of like this little fraternity. Like, they're like the boys. Like, they hang out together all the time outside the building. Like, they always have each other backs, and so that was kind of what it was. And they just took over the Oxford, and Kirk. Kirk was all for it, which was kind of a cool little bit there.

[01:21:56]

I like how quarterbacks always get their offensive linemen. They usually get them, like, golf carts, yeti coolers, maybe some, like, fishing gear. Nice present at the end of the year, do as wide receivers do. Ever buy presents for the quarterbacks if you have a great year?

[01:22:09]

So. So that's always an interesting thing because I feel like that. That whole bit has gotten, like, way overblown and now has made it, like, super awkward for the quarterbacks because now I feel like the old linemen are, like, expecting, like, this, like, grand prize and, like, this big show. Like, walk out into the field. I was like, oh, brand new atv. Like, it's almost like it's like the best is right or something, and I don't know. I just feel like it's been overblown. Like. Yeah. Is it nice to, like. Yeah. Hey, man, like, you're doing a great job. You're protecting me, keep me healthy. That's awesome. But long story short, no, I've. I have not bought quarterback a gift. Maybe. Maybe I should, but, yeah, it's. It's kind of a weird, awkward thing. Usually you try to take care of the people in the building, right? That, like, are not, like, making millions of dollars and are grinding away. I mean, you think about you going to this. This NFL building. I mean, you got so many employees that absolutely give everything they have into that organization and want to win probably worse than most of the players because they've been a part of this organization for so long.

[01:23:14]

I mean, our equipment guy, Dennis Ryan in Minnesota, had been there for forever, I think, like, 40 some years. And I'm probably wrong on the number, but. But it was unbelievably just retired now. They named the equipment room after him, but there's so many of that in Carolina. Donnie, he's the same thing. He's been there forever, been a part of all this history. And, you know, those are the guys usually want to take care of, and you want to, you know, get them a nice Christmas gift just because, you know, of all the work they put in.

[01:23:40]

Yeah. All right, so this has been awesome. I got a couple last questions. The first one is the Minneapolis miracle. I know this is, you know, you know, it happened, whatever, six, seven years ago. But just take me back real quick to the locker room after because I would imagine that was the coolest locker room to ever be in after Stefan Diggs makes that catch and you guys win with no time left on the clock.

[01:24:03]

I've never, I never hugged so many people in my entire life. It was like, didn't even know the people. You're like, yeah, give them a big hug. Dapping them up. You're like, I have no idea who you are. I don't know if you're part of the team, but like, let's go. Like you're bear hug. Bear hugs to everybody. It was, it was crazy. I mean, again, like, you put so much effort and time and energy and sacrifice and into this and like, that's your goal, right? Like you're doing it all with the end goal. Like get to the Super bowl, get to the NFC championship game to give you an opportunity, go to school and like to win the way we did. Like the year we were having. And like the Saints was always like this crazy rivalry. We always faced some and it was always a tough matchup. And then like that game, like the ups and downs, like the emotions, like, oh, we're going to win this for sure. Oh, wait, now we're going to lose this for sure. Oh, now we're going to win it. Like, it was like four times that you were like, oh, like, this is guaranteed, like, either win or loss.

[01:24:57]

And for it to end the way it did, like it was, it was the coolest experience my life. I'll never, I'll never get tired of talking about the miracle. People every single day pretty much will come up to me and ask me about that game. So pretty cool. A lot of memories from that game. Obviously disappointed the next week very quickly because had our chance to go to a Super bowl. It was in Minnesota, first team ever to play in a Super bowl or in their own state. So that would have been pretty cool. But, but, yeah, really cool memory.

[01:25:29]

Yeah. It's an all time sports moment and it's why we watch sports as fans. All right, so I had one last question. The robot question rho back.com promo code take 20% off your first purchase cues this polos, hoodies, joggers, shorts, great polos for golf. So let's bring it back to golf real quick. You are going to be, like I said, at the top at the american century, celebrity golf championship in Tahoe. We'll be there, too. What do you drive? Like, what's the, what, what's your, what's your average length of your drive? And, uh, what's the one part of your game that's like, I got to do this to be in the top five or maybe win this thing.

[01:26:05]

So I hit about 330.

[01:26:07]

Whoo.

[01:26:08]

Jesus. Again, like, that's always been my, like, my strength. But the issue is I start to get a little bit of confidence, and then I like, and I'm a meathead, so I like, I'm like, oh, I'm going to hit driver, even though I shouldn't. Like, there's like, a 20 yard gap, right? And there's, like, out of bounds on the right, water on the left. I'm like, I'll hit driver. I'm going to bomb it. And so that gets me into a lot of trouble. But so what I would say is playing, like, actual smart golf, like, thinking through the golf course. Like, Tiger says it in a lot of stuff, the books, and you can read about it, you can hear interviews. He talks about it. Like, he's not going to, like, overpower you in a lot of ways. He's going to outsource think he's going to. He's going to play the course how the course is supposed to be played, and not a lot of people can do that. So I think that's what I got to do. I also got it out there. It's all about the wedges. Like, can you hit those 60 to 120 yard shots, which you think would be the easiest shots, but when you get a little pressure, greens are tough and you get, it's just those shots become tough.

[01:27:13]

So I'm going to be grinding on those 60 to 120 yard shots and try to give myself a chance at, you know, going and winning that thing.

[01:27:21]

Have you thought about wearing the arm sleeve, the compression sleeve on your left arm like you do during games? Like, maybe wear that on the course?

[01:27:27]

That's a great point because I've never gone a game without the arm sleeve in my entire career, or a visor. So. So maybe I should wear, like, some sort of a visor and arm sleeve, and that could maybe help me out.

[01:27:40]

Yeah, I think that's a smart move. Yeah. I noticed that early when you were talking about the biggest threats. I don't think you said Patrick Mahomes. That's interesting.

[01:27:47]

I don't think Patrick Mahomes is the biggest threat on the golf course, on the football, obviously, he's the biggest but golf course, I think a little different.

[01:27:54]

This is how you motivate a man like that.

[01:27:56]

Yeah. He's going to win another shooter.

[01:27:57]

He's going to hear this. Yeah, I know.

[01:27:59]

He does have, like, a real golf hole in his backyard, so maybe he's been grinding away, and he's going to completely surprise me. And he does get better every year. He's got great swing. I just. I don't see him winning it. But again, like I said, I probably just motivated him. He's probably gonna whip my butt.

[01:28:15]

Yeah. Do you have a caddy for this?

[01:28:17]

Yeah. So, my brother in law, he's caddy from the last few years, and we have a great time. Very similar type of people. So he loves the game of golf, so he's been my caddy. We've kind of switched caddies over the years, but I was always, like, a close friend, a buddy, and so just try to go out there and have fun. But also, I tend to get a little too competitive. So having somebody that knows how to calm me down a little bit and bring me back to reality that my real job is football and not golf, I tend to forget that pretty quickly when I get out.

[01:28:48]

It's interesting because the old saying is Minnesota nice. I don't think you're Minnesota nice.

[01:28:53]

Are you?

[01:28:53]

I'm not Minnesota nice, but I do have, like, this, and my wife hates it. Probably the worst quality that I have for her, but I have this ability to be, like, a people pleaser a little bit, where I just. I have a tough time, like, being the bad guy. But when the competitive juices flow, it's. I always say, like, you know, whenever I get a chance to talk to the team, you know, talk to the receivers, whatever. Like, I always say, like, when you get in between those lines, like, you can't be mister nice guy. Like, you can't be the same guy you are every day that you should be. Right? Like, the way you treat people in the building, the way you treat your coaches, the way that you handle your business and do things the right way. Yeah, you should do those things, obviously. But when you step in between those lines, like, you can't be that guy because you will not be that dog, that. That different type of player that you want to be if you don't. Like, hey, like, I remember, like, playing on stage, and it probably helped me with that mindset, is, like, if you go out there and just think you're just gonna, like, go out there and, like, do your job, like, you are gonna get destroyed.

[01:29:53]

So, like, you gotta, like, somehow flip this switch to, like, no. Like, I'm a dog. Like, I'm gonna go out there and murder someone, even though I'm, like, unmatched. Like, I'm not matched up with that. Like, when I was playing special is 195 pounds. Like, usually having to, like, block a 230 pound linebacker that was running a four four. And so, like, I'm unmatched here, but, like, I'm just gonna, like, turn this brain off and, like, flip a switch and just be a dog and. Yeah, that's kind of where it comes from.

[01:30:20]

Minnesota nasty. That's what I call it.

[01:30:21]

Love that.

[01:30:22]

It's good.

[01:30:23]

Well, yeah. Adam, thank you so much, man. We really appreciate it. We'll see you out in Tahoe. Best of luck. We might have to try to heckle you because we're just going to try to get in everyone's head, but we're excited to be there. And good luck in the tournament.

[01:30:37]

I appreciate it. Looking forward to seeing you guys out there.

Okay, let's wrap up the week. What an eventful week it was.

[01:32:12]

Yeah.

[01:32:13]

With fyre fest of the week. Anti fyre fest, by the way. We never talked about it, but last week, the real shame happened. We got kicked out of the beer.

[01:32:25]

Olympics is a real shame.

[01:32:27]

That's if we had a reverse fire fest.

[01:32:29]

Yeah.

[01:32:29]

What a shame.

[01:32:30]

I'm really upset about that. That is my fyre fest this week is. I was very, very much looking forward to traveling for four days.

[01:32:37]

Yeah.

[01:32:38]

And not getting. Getting worked up, getting out drank by a bunch of celebrities that are probably gonna cancel.

[01:32:44]

Yeah.

[01:32:44]

So.

[01:32:45]

Fuck. Damn it.

[01:32:46]

Damn it. I'm Drake. Oh, no.

[01:32:49]

Oh, no.

[01:32:50]

No.

[01:32:51]

Drake is.

[01:32:53]

That was tough night. That was.

[01:32:54]

That's talking about firefighter Lamar had all of LA out.

[01:32:57]

All of LA. Played the song five times in a row.

[01:33:00]

Yeah.

[01:33:01]

Lebron was dancing.

[01:33:02]

The cameraman even started to get on the cuts for.

[01:33:06]

I didn't realize he played it five times. I just saw the one with, like, DeMar and Russell west the fifth time.

[01:33:12]

The track list. It's like it was. He did like 2020 songs or whatever, and it was 21. Not like us, 22. Not like us, 23.

[01:33:18]

Oh, that's awesome. That's awesome. Yeah.

[01:33:21]

You saw LeBron with Savannah standing by the stage. Everybody was there. It was wild. Tyler, the creator, also put on a great show.

[01:33:28]

Yeah.

[01:33:29]

Okay. Hank, your fyre fest of the week.

[01:33:31]

My fire fest of the week is apparently I'm a bad celebrator of championships.

[01:33:36]

Yes.

[01:33:37]

Barstool gaming. I knew this was happening in real time. I think I might have said it, like, shortly after. But when you're the favorite, so they're a. The barstool gambling account posted a clip of the gambling cave when we won the championship. It was me and Fidelberg, Dana Clemmer, wanton Don, all the Boston Celtics fans. And it was pretty, you know, we just kind of clapped, dapped it up. Like, when you're in the gambling cave, it is weird. I'm big at you. Kind of happened with you, too in the Cubs one. It's like you're not really, like, in the mode where you're, you know, drunk and celebrating and letting out all your emotions, especially when the game was over at time, we knew we were, you know, it was basically a formality at that point, so we didn't have the crazy celebration. And then the video has what right now is 19.9 million views. Every sports fan base, quote, tweeted, being like, I've celebrated sacrifice buns more than 2900.

[01:34:31]

Quote, tweets, yeah, yeah. No, you. You are right. I mean, I think the context of the fact you guys were up the whole game, too, and the series blow up. But you are right, because I remember, like, when the Cubs won the World Series, I was in. We were in the old New York office, and it was like, me and Glennie balls. No offense. Glennie balls. Love him. He doesn't have any. He doesn't care about the Cubs whatsoever. And I was just like, okay. Like, I'm looking around. It's just. It was a bunch of people actually rooting against me, and then they won. I remember game six when they beat the Dodgers to go to the World Series. I was at that game, and I partied my fucking face off. And it was awesome. But, yeah, like, being in a gambling cave like that, it's. It's a little bit different. Yeah.

[01:35:10]

If it was a buzzer beater that you guys won on, I'm sure you guys would have gone nuts. But the way that this clip, it starts in a bad look for you guys, which is fights on the couch, and he just starts yawning. He's yawning as the champion, as the final whistle is blown. And this is also just classic Boston. It gives a lot of, like, gives. There's a lot of red meat on the bone for people that like to hate on Boston sports fans, because you guys have had so much success that it does piss a lot of people off myself, which is good.

[01:35:36]

Yeah, I mean, that's like.

[01:35:37]

It's like haters.

[01:35:38]

It's literally hate us because you.

[01:35:39]

Yeah, it's like you have championship fatigue. It's like when Nancy Pelosi hits a massive winning trade. She doesn't, like, jump around, be like, yes, I don't have to work anymore.

[01:35:46]

This is usual.

[01:35:47]

That's how. That's how we. We operate around.

[01:35:49]

Yeah, the. The. It does look. It gives a lot of vibes of, like, finishing 18 holes with your friends. There's just some nice, calm handshakes and, like, all right, another one. I got a couple of the best quote treats. This guy said, my cat gets more excited to go to the vet than this. This guy. This might be Max's burner. He said, I've celebrated a Tobias Harris corner, three in a January game to cut the deficit to seven in the third quarter. Harder than this.

[01:36:16]

That's a reverse zone right there.

[01:36:17]

Yeah. I've celebrated harder on a ghost wipe than these guys winning a championship. That's true. I've absolutely celebrated harder on a ghost wipe.

[01:36:26]

Save a lot of time.

[01:36:26]

Yep. I celebrated Iowa punting harder than this.

[01:36:29]

Yeah. That's just Iowa football.

[01:36:31]

Yeah. I've celebrated finding a $5 bill in a coat I haven't worn in a while. More. More than this. And then on and on and on. Yeah. Every. Everyone has chimed in on that.

[01:36:40]

Yeah. I just don't know, really. Like, I was thinking, what should I do? And I kind of knew that that was gonna be the reaction, but I also wasn't gonna fake it. Like, I wasn't gonna. No, it was your drop to my knees and be like, you guys knew.

[01:36:50]

You were gonna win after game three.

[01:36:53]

Yeah.

[01:36:53]

You had a lot of great moments that cumulatively, like, built up to much more than this final thing.

[01:36:59]

Yeah.

[01:36:59]

You got to enjoy the ride and.

[01:37:00]

You were locked in, like, for the whole game. Yeah. But, yeah, it's very funny that you became. You became a. A, quote, tweet machine meme for not really Karen.

[01:37:14]

Yeah.

[01:37:14]

I mean, it's been 18 years of people hating on us for winning, and it's just. It's not going to stop, and we're not going to stop.

[01:37:19]

Your price yawning is so great.

[01:37:21]

It's such a good yawn.

[01:37:22]

Yeah.

[01:37:22]

And he's, like, laying back with his belly out.

[01:37:25]

Yeah. And everyone just doesn't really.

[01:37:27]

Yeah.

[01:37:27]

Everyone does a really simple high five.

[01:37:29]

Yeah.

[01:37:29]

It is like a. Yeah.

[01:37:31]

All right.

[01:37:31]

Good match.

[01:37:32]

Yeah.

[01:37:32]

Right.

[01:37:32]

It could be worse. It could be a lot worse if you guys had, you know, the golfers always miss the handshakes. They always screw up the handshakes in the high fives. I think you guys connected on just about all of them.

[01:37:41]

Yeah. True. Yeah.

[01:37:43]

So if you had messed up the handshakes, then it's like, it becomes more of an own than this. Yeah, this is just.

[01:37:48]

Yeah.

[01:37:48]

Hate us. Cause they anus.

[01:37:49]

Yeah. Pft. What's your firefest?

[01:37:51]

All right, I've got a couple. One is Blake has started to go after my penis again.

[01:37:58]

Uh oh.

[01:37:59]

Yeah. That's his thing. He just, like, he follows me around, especially in the morning if I'm getting out of bed, he follows me from room to room, and every time I turn around, I think he thinks it's like a toy that he has to, like, go after and try to pick up and then run away with. So I have to walk down my hallway with my ass towards Blake, like, and I'm always guarding my boxing him out. I'm always like, I'm setting a pick. I've got two hands in front of my balls at all points when I'm around Blake. He did make contact the other day. He didn't bite, but he just. He just likes to play with it.

[01:38:32]

Yeah.

[01:38:33]

And. Or he thinks it's a toy, and I have to, like, keep it away from him.

[01:38:36]

Is that maybe your dick's too big?

[01:38:37]

No, it's definitely not that. It doesn't. I don't think it would remind him of any of. Maybe a milk bone. It might remind him a milk bone. Yeah, that's it. So that's. That's been a challenge that I've been dealing with. And then the other is that the El Camino won't start again, and I drove to work. I was so pumped. I brought it in here on, I think, Tuesday, and that thing was purr, and it was so loud. Really enjoyed the ride in. And then we're getting ready to tape the dozen, and Jeff's like, can you go out to your car? Because I want to get a shot of you pulling up in the El Camino, stepping out, walking into the office confidently. Then we'll cut from that to you walking onto the set so it'll look like you just arrived. So we're pre taping this thing. I'm like, okay, this is gonna be awesome. Go out to the car, and then I try to start it, and then it just doesn't start at all. And so they're just waiting for me. I'm like, I'm sorry. My car won't start. We open up the hood.

[01:39:25]

I don't know. I'm not a car guy. There's just gas gushing out of the carburetor. And so now I've got. I got to deal with that and maybe replace the carburetor, and it's. I've. For the first time yesterday, I thought to myself, what. What if I just sold it? I'm not going to.

[01:39:40]

I'm not.

[01:39:41]

But I had the thought, I got to be honest.

[01:39:42]

You got to wait till at least the end of summer.

[01:39:44]

Yeah.

[01:39:44]

You definitely don't want it in winter. I may think about all of this stuff in ten degree weather.

[01:39:50]

Yes. That would be brutal. That would be very bad. Or I could try to give it away to somebody that I hate and act like I'm giving them a present.

[01:39:56]

Yeah.

[01:39:56]

Hey, guess what? I got you an El Camino. Enjoy it.

[01:40:00]

I like that.

[01:40:00]

You sucker. Max, I am. I am gonna fix it. I'm gonna fix it. Shane's dad tried to help me fix it today. We're looking good, pug. What?

[01:40:08]

You got your hand up? No. Nothing's working.

[01:40:11]

Just a tune in a PMTV to watch everything. Pft just talked about. Yeah, it's. It's been a real roller coaster. Yeah. The plug real pug got believe we don't have anybody really inside this building that knows about cars.

[01:40:26]

Really?

[01:40:26]

Not really.

[01:40:27]

No.

[01:40:28]

I'm saying like, that's surprising.

[01:40:29]

I feed no bunch of fucking indoor bloggers.

[01:40:32]

I feel like there would be one person that knows about cars.

[01:40:35]

Chaps is your only shot. All these things.

[01:40:37]

He was like, you want me to shoot it?

[01:40:39]

He's the manliest man. And then, yeah, if he doesn't have it, it's over. Yeah, I'm trying to think who else? Yeah.

[01:40:44]

There's not white boy, Rick.

[01:40:47]

A lot of our security guards, I've.

[01:40:50]

Talked to all the security guards, ran through all the security guards, Rick.

[01:40:53]

No chance.

[01:40:54]

I even asked a random guy that was walking down the street to knew about cars. Yeah, I've reached that point.

[01:40:58]

That's brutal.

[01:40:59]

Hey, you want to come help me fix my car?

[01:41:02]

Okay. By the way, is pug like the hottest stock in the game right now?

[01:41:08]

Oh, for sure.

[01:41:09]

It's crazy.

[01:41:10]

For sure. The 99 pug just on the way out. It's wild pug.

[01:41:15]

I mean, that's just how the lottery ball goes.

[01:41:17]

You don't know when it's gonna hit.

[01:41:18]

You're a beast. You're a beast.

[01:41:20]

I just had an idea for like a dating app, but it's young dudes that want to meet up with old guys who know about cars.

[01:41:28]

Oh, I'll do that.

[01:41:29]

Like an old guy.

[01:41:30]

I would like to. Yeah.

[01:41:30]

I feel like an old guy wants to share his car now.

[01:41:32]

Knowledge.

[01:41:33]

I'm an aspiring car guy. Like, I want to at some point own an old bronco and a Cadillac. And I know that I need to. When that day comes, I have to have my schedule fully cleared to like, dive into learning about cars.

[01:41:49]

Yeah, yeah.

[01:41:50]

That will be my thing when I retire.

[01:41:52]

It would be a great thing for just an old because they have all the time in the world, right? And they want to work on cars.

[01:41:57]

And all I want is just a, like to live in like a retirement area with drive my Bronco around and then when I want to go to the horse track, drive my Cadillac.

[01:42:08]

Yeah, that's a way. That's a winning car.

[01:42:10]

Yeah, that's a winning car. All right. My fyre fest is. Well, it's the good. It's a good news bad news situation. The good news or. Sorry. The bad news is I have the replacement for this podcast so you have to admit sometimes when you get a little older, that there might be an up and comer that is ready to take the reins. The good news of it is, I think it's my three year old daughter, because this week, my son, who turned five on Wednesday, my daughter refused to wish him happy birthday for the entire day.

[01:42:49]

That's power move.

[01:42:50]

And it was one of the funniest things I've ever seen. I literally kept on saying, can you wish him a happy birthday? And she's like, no. And just all day just held out, and I was like, this is the troll queen. This is the heir to the. To the troll crown.

[01:43:02]

What about the next day? Did she say, like, happy birthday yesterday?

[01:43:05]

No, but she was just, like, so adamantly. We sang with the candles and everything. Didn't sing. She said before, she's like, I'm not gonna sing.

[01:43:13]

What did he do?

[01:43:14]

Nothing. She just didn't. She was just not acknowledging his birthday.

[01:43:19]

Did he ask her to?

[01:43:20]

He was kind of like, why aren't you saying happy birthday? And she's like, I don't want to. I don't feel like it.

[01:43:25]

Because she's a queen.

[01:43:26]

Yeah, it was. I just. Because it started the beginning of the day where I was like, can you please say happy birthday to your brother? And then as the day progressed and she kept on staying firm about it, I just started laughing every time she refused. And then she obviously went into that was like, this is funny. I'm doing something funny. Yeah.

[01:43:43]

You gave her the reinforcement.

[01:43:44]

Oh, yeah.

[01:43:45]

Yeah.

[01:43:45]

Because it is hilarious.

[01:43:47]

It's very funny to just be like.

[01:43:49]

It might be your birthday, but I will not be acknowledging it.

[01:43:51]

Yeah. Did she get any presents for his birthday?

[01:43:54]

She stole some of his.

[01:43:55]

Yeah.

[01:43:55]

Yeah. But, yeah, that's. She might be my heir apparent in terms of trolling. Cause that's a really young age to have that ability to really stick it to someone that you love.

[01:44:08]

I wonder if it's gonna be every birthday or if it's just his. Like, did she just have a rivalry with the oldest or the babies?

[01:44:14]

Yeah.

[01:44:14]

She won't give it to the babies.

[01:44:15]

Yeah. Everyone else that she goes crazy for. Yeah. Then she would really be the troll.

[01:44:19]

She has one enemy.

[01:44:20]

Yeah. Okay. Good show, boys.

[01:44:23]

Hank, great show. Great week.

[01:44:26]

Good luck.

[01:44:26]

Great week, Hank.

[01:44:27]

See you on the. See on Sunday.

[01:44:28]

You're gonna have a great time.

[01:44:30]

It'd be a real shame if you threw up on coach.

[01:44:33]

Don't say that.

[01:44:34]

I said it was a real shame. You don't think it'd be a shame.

[01:44:36]

Oh, you know, it'd be a real shame. No, I'm not saying.

[01:44:39]

You think they're gonna let Hank.

[01:44:39]

I'm gonna.

[01:44:40]

I'm gonna be.

[01:44:40]

Well, we already said it would be a real shame if Hank had a boating accident.

[01:44:44]

Yeah.

[01:44:45]

What if it was one of his ones?

[01:44:47]

You're certified, right?

[01:44:49]

Yeah, I know, but it's still. You'd be part of a boat. I mean, would you say. Would you say someone. Would you say a person who died on the Titanic was part of a boating accident?

[01:44:59]

Yeah, I don't think there's going to be a boating accident with the duck boats going, like, 5 miles an hour down the street, but who knows? That's.

[01:45:03]

You never know. Well, no, not on the street. We're not saying on the street. And aren't they going in the water?

[01:45:08]

Yeah.

[01:45:08]

No, they don't go in the water.

[01:45:10]

Well, why? They use the duck boat theory. They don't go in the water.

[01:45:13]

It's a Boston thing.

[01:45:14]

They just drive the duck boats.

[01:45:15]

Correct.

[01:45:16]

That's weird to me.

[01:45:17]

Okay, so maybe you have a boating accident on the road.

[01:45:20]

I think you can have a boating accident on the road in a duck boat.

[01:45:23]

Any other. Any other thing. Downfall you want to wish?

[01:45:26]

No, I said it would be a shame.

[01:45:27]

I didn't say if you got a really bad sunburn. Actually, you need to sun tank. Is that the only part of your head that looks weird?

[01:45:33]

I know.

[01:45:34]

Is that it's very white. Let me see. Give us the whole. You have a little bit of a scar. Yeah, you got a good head of your head. You got one.

[01:45:43]

I have one back here.

[01:45:44]

Gave one back there. But you also have one in the side.

[01:45:46]

That's from basketball.

[01:45:47]

Yeah. If there's one thing you could say about Hank from today and from the Nicki smokes. Clip. Good head.

[01:45:51]

Good head, Hank. Good head. Approved. Okay, we'll see everyone on Monday. Let's finish with numbers.

[01:46:03]

Eight.

[01:46:04]

Go.

[01:46:04]

18. Vayner.

[01:46:05]

18.

[01:46:06]

No, it's already retired.

[01:46:08]

We said we weren't retired.

[01:46:09]

We retired 18 for Jake.

[01:46:10]

Did we?

[01:46:11]

Yeah.

[01:46:11]

20.

[01:46:12]

You can say 100.

[01:46:13]

101 would be 18. Okay, so 18 comes up. It's 103. Hundred.

[01:46:21]

199.

[01:46:22]

Poke.

[01:46:22]

2021. I find you shine away I'm coming.

[01:47:00]

For your love of dream?

[01:47:08]

Make on me? Take me out, I beg.

[01:47:34]

I must.

[01:47:37]

Be some little way? Take on me, take me out, I'll be gone in a day of things that you say?

[01:48:25]

My worries away?

[01:48:28]

You are the things I got to remember? You shine away anyway take me on.
