So then moving on to the Red Bull Junior team, and I'm quoting that from Helmut Marco. He says that the stock or the shareholders all agree that it's time for a different plan at RBI. Daniel Ricardo is obviously not a young driver, but a very experienced driver and was brought in to probably challenge Sergio Perez for that second seat. Now that Perez is signed and Yuki Sonoda is signed for next year and Liam Lawson's name is coming up with teams like Alpine, teams like Williams, I think Haas. I've seen some I don't know if there's anything to that, Tim. You're the insider. I don't know. But I want to know. There were reports out there on Twitter, probably erroneous, that Ricardo could be gone as early as July. What do you believe?

[00:00:45]

I don't believe that. What I can tell you is that I think for Daniel, he's not too worried about Helmut Marco's words and what he has said. I think for him, he understands that the next few races are important, though, for him to cement his spot in that seat for next season because there's no other options for him. He doesn't have anywhere else that he can go because science is clogging up this driver market that we've got going on at the moment. And he's happy where he is. He's very happy being back with the Red Bull family. So when we get to, let's I would not say the next... Including Austria. So the next five races for him are going to be extremely important. And I think what's going to help him hold on to that seat is consistency. So if he is outperforming UK For me, that's good. If he's putting up massive results like he had done in Canada, especially qualifying. Holy cow. Great qualifying. Yeah, exactly. And then obviously, they did Did okay with the new car that they had in Spain. Obviously, they didn't score any points, but for Daniel, he actually felt that that was a strong weekend for him, even though the end result didn't show that on paper, and he did beat Yuki as well.

[00:02:16]

At the same time, if he's able to keep things consistent, he should be okay in that seat for next year. Christian Horner wants him there. Laura Meckies wants him there. Peter Bayer wants him there. Those are all very important people with this RV program, and they all do want him there. If he can just keep performing, I can see him back on the grid. But then you have to take a look at what happens to Liam Lawson. You made some good points with some teams there. I don't know Adam if he's done enough. When he came in and replaced Ricardo last year, he was great. Yeah, but- But so was nick Devries when he replaced whoever at Williams. Alex Alvin, who had appendicitis. But is he done enough? Is that enough? He hasn't been racing this year. So if I'm like, Williams, you're looking at a rookie, right? You're looking at taking on another... And these are teams, Alpine, they're either going to go with their driver program, Jack Duhan, or they're going to try and get Carlos Sainz, one or the other, or Mick Schumacher, long shot at that one. And then Haas, I think At the end of the day, experience for them as well.

[00:03:47]

Who's best suited for that? Who's left on the board? Esteban, probably. Esteban O'Khan, yeah. And then Bautas, and he's going to go to, I think, wherever Carlos doesn't go.

[00:03:57]

Right. And so it's like, where is- Like Lawson could end up at Sauber. It's a rough place to start.

[00:04:07]

I don't know. I don't know if there's a spot for him anywhere. I really don't know. I don't have that answer. Nobody does. And And it all hinges on, I think, what Ricardo can do over the next few weeks here. But yeah, I saw Helmut's comments, and I was wondering, I think it was... These are all my thoughts. I think it was Christian Horner who got Sergio Perez back into that seat. Yeah, I think so, too. Christian Horner was the one who got Danny Ricardo back into that seat. Helmut Marco is supposed to be the one who's a part of the young driver drivers. So I don't know. I don't know what they do with them.

[00:04:49]

I don't know. And Helmut needs the young driver thing to work, otherwise he doesn't have a place there. So of course, he's going to advocate for the younger drivers. But Helmut did also develop Yuki Sonoda. He developed Daniel Ricardo. These are all named Max Verstauffen. It did work. It worked. It's working. But in Formula One, it's always like, what have you done for me lately?

[00:05:10]

Yeah, you're only as good as your last race.

[00:05:12]

Bingo. Bingo. Part of me wonders about with Helmett if this is just his way of prodding people in the worst way possible. Like as a coach-He does do that. Yeah, and he does do that. He does do that. I find it extremely unhelpful, but certain people respond respond to that.

[00:05:30]

Yeah, and it's a great point, Adam, because Ricardo may respond to that.

[00:05:37]

He's obviously dealt with Helmut for years. He knows.

[00:05:40]

Yeah, exactly. He has an understanding of what Helmet likes to do, doesn't like to do. And he also did say that his performance in Canada put a smile on Helmet's face. And so whenever he can do that, he says it's a good thing.

[00:05:55]

Yeah. And I think that Ricardo's... I mean, His improvement lately. He's been out qualifying Yuki. He's been finishing ahead of Yuki. I know he finished 15th, but Yuki finished 19th. That car wasn't good last week. It just wasn't.

[00:06:08]

No, you're right, Adam. It wasn't. And I think a big reason for them, this or for big thing for them this weekend would be trying to figure out the difference between this new package that they have compared to the older package which they had ran. And I think we're probably going to see in free practice Either Yuki or Daniel running the older spec and the other driver running the newer specs so they can get a cross comparison between the two of them to see which one is actually better and working the way they want it to. But with anything, Adam, with new upgrades, especially one that big, it's almost a B-spec car. It takes a while to figure it out. It takes a while to figure out where the sweet spots are on it and get proper data on the thing. If it was me, I think that's a great idea to run separate packages against each other. But also if it was me running that team, I would still move forward with the package, with the new package, just so we can get firm data on where the car is at.
