But you contemplate, are we? Am I? I think it's said, I think it's logical.

[00:00:20]

What how don't you find, are we?

[00:00:24]

Am I? This time was fine, I'm being I'll be your simple way. Should I do you mind? Oh, where am I? I'm fighting for love. I'm finding for love. Arraise me up and see My willingness to fight it for love. It's fighting for love. Raise me up and see my willingness. I'm fighting for love. I'm fighting for love. Raise me up and see my willingness. This is the way it has to be. Tell me why they love to be. Fighting for love. Fighting for love. Arise me up and see my well-being. So fighting for love. Fighting for love. Arise me up and see my well-being.

[00:02:19]

# raise me up, I see my willingness to fight it for love. # raise me up, I see my willingness, I'm fighting for love. I'm fighting for love. Raise me up, I see my My willingness, willingness. Yes. Yes. Yes. Oh, oh. All I thought about all day. Oh.

[00:04:26]

Let me turn down the gain a little bit there. All I thought about all day, all day, is what I'm going to say when the least win. That's all I've thought about all day. And then we find out Ilyas Samsonov is starting.

[00:04:54]

Because Joseph Wall hurt himself trying to save a goal that he didn't save.

[00:05:02]

It wouldn't have mattered.

[00:05:20]

Hey. Game Are you ready? It wasn't a rhetorical question. Answer me.

[00:05:41]

Are you ready?

[00:05:45]

The third Saturday of this series, are you ready? I'm Steve Dangle. This is SDPN, and this is our WatchAlong. It's presented by Neutral Vodka. Neutral Vodka soda is now available in lime tall cans at the LCBO, the Lickbo, some of you call it. Vodka, soda, lime. Made with just three ingredients, just like how the leaves have to win three straight against Boston.

[00:06:22]

Neutral contains zero grams of sugar, zero grams of carbs, and certainly zero chance of being let down by goal-tending. Neutral, refreshingly simple.

[00:06:39]

And the QR code. Oh, I did it right.

[00:06:43]

The QR code We'll lead you directly to it.

[00:06:50]

What's up, super chatter?

[00:06:53]

Ifx, hello. Welcome.

[00:06:55]

If the leaves are going to zombie their way back fully, It makes sense that Sammie is a net for this game. Yes.

[00:07:06]

If the Leifs win this game, if they lose this game... Listen, Leifs lose this game. Everyone's getting fired. Everyone's getting traded.

[00:07:17]

Leifs go on to the second round and lose. Everyone's getting fired. Everyone's getting traded anyway.

[00:07:24]

The Leifs are already dead, and it's time for them to drag the Bruins into the grave with them, make them the first team in the history of North American sports to blow a 3-1 series lead in back-to-back seasons. Now, Andrew says, Good game, we lose with Samsonov back.

[00:07:51]

You're going to be watching the whole time.

[00:07:53]

Don't lie. Game hasn't started yet, and Steve's broken. Correct. Positive vibes to you and Leifs Nation. No matter the outcome, the memes will be epic.

[00:08:04]

In any case, let's go, Lefs.

[00:08:07]

Sammie will redeem himself tonight.

[00:08:09]

Hold me closer, Tiny Dangle.

[00:08:11]

Thank you, Colin. Steve, what food should I order for the game?

[00:08:16]

You can eat food at a time like this?

[00:08:24]

Something easy to digest. Digestive cookies. This stream is brought to you by the New Jersey Street Lauttery.

[00:08:34]

Remember, anything can happen in Jersey. Thank you.

[00:08:39]

I'm expecting from Steve tonight a performance on the level of Bobby Heenan at the '92 Royal Rumbble. Wow. The same Burger King ad has played six times in a row now in the US on ESPN. Now seven times, now eight, now nine. I think there might be something wrong with your thing. Phrasing.

[00:08:57]

Steve, can we get a, Let's go, in your Bane voice.

[00:09:01]

Let's go. You think game seven is your ally? I was born in it, molded by it. I didn't see TD Garden until I was already a man. As a Pens fan, I'm cheering for Toronto tonight. I don't want Sheldon as the head coach.

[00:09:28]

You got me with that one. Tony Tony West gifted five Sdpn memberships.

[00:09:32]

You're beautiful.

[00:09:33]

You can gift memberships down in the bottom right corner of the Chitty Chat.

[00:09:40]

Good luck next round. Pasta has been awful. Oh, we got a negative We got a negative Bruins fan in here now. Samsonov can't stop a Curling Rock. Leaps are done. In fairness, Curling Rocks are heavier. Lfr title, Chocupalooza 2024, featuring I'm just going to ask. Yeah, harsh talks, Hockey. Kendrick dropped again. I sent a tweet joking that Kendrick Lamar was going to drop right before game seven. And then he did.

[00:10:10]

He dropped his fourth this track 15 minutes ago.

[00:10:15]

Tony West, five memberships to match the number of goals the leaves are going to get tonight. Go leaves, go. I like that. What does a membership get you? We record the Steve Dangle podcast podcast one, two, three times per week. If you become a member, you become an SDP VIP, which means you get the SDP VIP episode, which is our fourth episode each week. One, two, three, four episodes of the Steve Dangle podcast each week. If you upgrade your membership, which you can also do at the bottom right-hand corner, you become an SDP VIP ad-free, which means you get four full episodes of the Steve Dangle podcast every week, completely ad-free, and you get to help a little less.

[00:11:08]

Wow.

[00:11:09]

Brad Marshan uses skim milk in his cereal. Okay, I didn't think I liked him before, but well. Knucks one with three goalies, so start the third string. I think technically they are. Cassie, I'm a Penguin fan, Steve. I can eat. Oh, then chicken fingers. My local football team, Cliftonville, Just won the Irish Cup for the first time since... Oh, you mean soccer? Since 1979. One multi-decade curse broken, one left. Go leaves, go. And best pregame meal, pasta or Sammie. Pasta. It's a food question, right? I want to see Rat Shand cry again this year.

[00:11:57]

It's like Marsha, but he's a rat.

[00:12:01]

Goleaves go, also watching the game.

[00:12:03]

Happy that poppy's playing.

[00:12:05]

Yeah, why aren't we talking about the fact that poppy's playing? But also sad that the brick wall isn't playing. Steve, please shout me out. I love you. Hello, Fins Up Sports. I would like to beat Boston make changes anyway, option Steve. So the lines tonight. Patrice Bergeron, Honorary Banner Captain. Here are... Where did it go? The lines. Bertuzzi Domi Marner, that stays the same. Nies Tavares-Nielander, that stays the same. This is from David Alter. Duer-kopf-greger is the fourth line. That's a little different. Holmberg-mathieu's Yarn Croke. So here's what happened there. Nick Robertson is taken out of the lineup. Noah Gregor stays in. Yarn Croke swaps places with Gregor. Holmberg Matthews' moods over to the left. Matthews then technically takes nick Robertson's spot. I mean, I guess he takes Pontes' Holmberg spot, and Holmberg takes Robertson's spot. Holmberg Matthews' Yarn Croke. Why are you complicating it, Steve? How do we feel about Sammie and Ned? My dad has been asking for my advice on who to bet on in each game for the last week. And I've been correct every time. I'm a genius. He asked about this game, and I had no clue what to say.

[00:13:47]

What did you say? What did you say? What did you say? Answer the question.

[00:13:55]

Thank you, Paul. Does that say get gup?

[00:14:02]

Get gup.

[00:14:04]

Says Carla Martin. Jesus, take the wheel. Belief in Sammie. His name's Elia. Tequila, Xanax, and issues ready. Wow. Tissue is ready. Hell of a Freudian slip. Go leaves. I can't condone that. Please slay the dragon tonight. Go leaves, go. I'm so sorry, Steve. How dare you? If it's wool or nothing, and there is no wool, what's left?

[00:14:32]

Or who is not in the lineup for the Brewans either? It or not, by being a leaf because I am sick and I rely on others to feel.

[00:14:52]

I see you scream, and I was inspired to buy a Matthews jersey. Your suffering is why the leaves are my second team. C'est la vie, je suppose. I don't know if that's how you say it. Av's fan here. If I'm honest, I'm here for the salt. Thank you for the years of entertainment.

[00:15:13]

It's not the early 2000s.

[00:15:15]

You don't have to cheer for the Bruins, or I guess they cheered for you.

[00:15:29]

Click like, click subscribe, tell all your friends. Listen, listen, listen.

[00:15:43]

Some of you have been here every stream. Some of you are window shopping my neurosis. I see that there's over 9,000 of you. I see that there's fewer than 900 likes. Get that Get that number up. That's the price of admission.

[00:16:05]

Get that number up.

[00:16:16]

By the way, the sports interaction pregame odds, the Leaps are plus 115, the Bruins are minus 1:35. How many goals to outscore Sammie's mistakes? Five. No No matter how this game goes, can we get a one taker? I don't know what you're going to get. Great question. Almost 9,000 people watching already. Let's get more likes. See? See? You agree with me. This is setting up to be one epic story one way or another. I agree. I said I'm leaning slightly towards the leaves. He hopes I'm a genius. Let's go. That's Arismix 23. Okay, Steve. Jesse has Krabs. Adam has the clap. He does. What's your thing? Neutral vodka soda. Kendrick versus Drake in leaves Brewing's game seven. I feel like the world is coming to an end. Do you think Leifs management will just use the wool injury as an excuse?

[00:17:21]

No. They lose the night. They're blowing it up.

[00:17:25]

Chicken ordered. Vibe check for Dangle and the chat.

[00:17:28]

Feeling great.

[00:17:30]

Petition to call the next LFR the script, regardless of the outcome.

[00:17:34]

Hey, hey, hey, hey.

[00:17:37]

Let me cook. Lfr is going to be good no matter what. Let me cook. Trust me. All you got to do is sit down at the table, grab your fork and knife, and enjoy. Let me cook. I promise you'll like it. Bruins are going to be line matching hell with Maddie in. Yeah, Tortured Fans Department. Good luck tonight, Steve. Hey, Steve. Night shift from The Rig again. Three streams in three days. Tell Adam we're watching from Drumheller. Drumheller or Drumheller? Not Fort Mac. Go leaves, go. Hate your Anthem singer. Why do you hate their Anthem singer? Oh, apparently, we have a video from Neutral Vodka Soda's founder, Paul, who's a big leaf fan. Take it away, Drew.

[00:18:39]

Okay, boys, let's get this done high from the home of Neutral.

[00:18:43]

Here we are.

[00:18:45]

I got Steve Dangle, and I'm loving...

[00:18:47]

I like this. It's a strong start.

[00:18:49]

Strong start.

[00:18:53]

Okay, boys. I like a laugh.

[00:18:58]

I like a little chuckle. And I like that little bevy in your hand.

[00:19:03]

Neutral vodka soda.

[00:19:07]

Steve, I'm a huge Brewing fan. Boo!

[00:19:09]

Boo! Oh, there's more. But regardless of the outcome, I love your content and will pull for you and the leaves for further success. Good luck. Despite my fiancé being a Red Wings fan, you started my love for hockey. Also, my English soccer team, Derby County, got promotion after 15 years of pain. Have a good feeling. I like that. G-hawk 80. Hey, Leaps, my boss is a Bruins fan, so please win so I can wear a Matthews jersey to work Monday.

[00:19:38]

Can I get a, Are you in? Come on, let's get that guy fired. Let's go.

[00:19:46]

We'll let you cook. Just don't overdo it with the salt. Imagine if they played the Hildebeast, not Sammie. I don't prefer to imagine that.

[00:19:56]

Alex gifted 20 Sdpn memberships.

[00:19:58]

You, Butte, and DJ Magic gifting five. You beauties. Tell the neutral guy to like the stream. I like that.

[00:20:08]

Yeah, Paul. Way to go, Paul. Here we go.

[00:20:18]

It's Burt night for two leaves. I love that.

[00:20:20]

The game is about to start. Sammie, in net for the leaves. Swayman, in net for the Bruins.

[00:20:30]

Swayman in game sevens in his career, 0-2, a 3-3, 4 goals against average in an 8-8-7. Save percentage. As long as we're doing the whole narrative thing. Matthews, I have never seen that look in his eyes.

[00:20:49]

And the puck is dropped.

[00:20:52]

Tavares wins the opening face-off.

[00:20:57]

The Bruins can bring out Patrice Bergeron all they want. He can't play. Tavares is in the neutral zone.

[00:21:06]

He's going to have to go get his stick. The Leaps will ice the puck, and that'll be an early whistle. A bit of a tricky situation there. Tavares is far away from the bench as he possibly could be without a stick. Prime nick, Why not Jones? You already know Sammie is bad.

[00:21:25]

You know what?

[00:21:26]

Sammie was incredible after coming back from a layoff.

[00:21:32]

Who the hell knows? Sammie won you a playoff series last year.

[00:21:36]

Who the hell knows? Bruins win that face off. Mcavoy puts it on. It goes wide. Tavares ties up his man. Puck goes around. Niz, rocks McAvoy. Reilly trying to take it off him, gets it up to Niz at the half-wall. Not out, though. It's off the back of the net. Labushkin chasing his man. I think that's geeky. Bruins fighting to keep possession, and they kick it in, and the Leaps just Scrum it across their blue line. It's going to be battles like that all night long. Sammie out of the net to play it. Pass to Reilly. Reilly up the ice to a streaking Matthew Niz. He's at the end of his shift, though. As Domi comes out, Marner is out. Nijs is going to have to come off on the back check. Fortunate pass to Domi, who accidentally flubs it. And the Bruins will get it deep. Charlie Coyle. Big early hit on Simone Benoît. Fortunate pass to Domi again. The puck just seems to keep finding him. And the puck goes over the glass. Kian Pepper is good for your heart. I suggest all Keepers fans to drink half a spoon of cayenne pepper.

[00:22:48]

What did I just turn around to read? Have a beer if the leaves win. What about a neutral vodka soda? Wulnut starting. I feel sick. Welcome to the chat. Let's go, Toronto.

[00:23:04]

I agree. Matthews is out there.

[00:23:08]

Wins his opening face off or his first face off. Sort of. I don't really know how they categorize Wins. Holmberg and his man both go down. Holmberg, Matthews, Yarn Croke, three workers. Matthew is around for Yarn Croke, who works it back to Lillegren to Edmondson Done. Doesn't make its way through. And the Bruins, they're attacking.

[00:23:34]

Lilligren. Oh, good body position. Sammie. Oh, makes the save, and Brazo knocks the buck wide. Puck along the side of the leaf's net. I think that was Lilligren fighting with JBR there.

[00:23:50]

Oh, boy, Shattenkirke handles it back. Sdpn YouTube channel, baby. Click like, click subscribe. Tell all your friends. Good reach there by David Kampf. Jake McKay breaking out with it.

[00:24:06]

Benwa wants it. Enters the zone with speed. In front. Oh, doesn't work out.

[00:24:15]

Kempf back in support. He's basically a defenseman anyway.

[00:24:18]

Benwa up the ice into an interesting situation. Duhre puts it wide. Gregor gets it deep. No one there except for a streaking Ilya Labushkin coming on the ice. Kempf out there late.

[00:24:34]

Nylander chasing after the puck. It eludes him. Three minutes in to the first period. If you heard that pronounced breath That was me remembering to breathe. Nylander denies who puts it around. Tavares, grabs the thing. To Niz, doesn't get the shot off.

[00:24:54]

Niz, eeu! What a move on Lorri, puts him in the spin cycle, at least with a little bit of space here. Reilly, behind the net for Tavares. In front, Swayman didn't know where it was. It's in the corner. Willy, Bruins can't get it out. They're in hell right now. And McAvoy gets it and gets it up to pasta. Pasta. Pasta puts it wide of the net and around. Wide open puck. Someone get to that. Carlo gets to it first. Oh, Edmondson flattens his man behind the leaves net. Bruin still at the puck, though. That was pasta. Behind the Bruin's net. Lilligren stapling geeky. Lilligrens looked a little shaky early on. Bertuzzi throws a hit. Tavares up the ice. Is this going to be ice? Shouldn't be, and it's not. Carlo with it.

[00:25:55]

Buckteath said, Fine. I liked. Good.

[00:26:00]

Oh, Charlie Coyle, what a move. De Brusque on. Stop by Sammie. And the Leifs collect the rebound. Marner up the ice. Rachel said, Sammie had the first save, and I was Shattenkirking my pants. Marner chasing after it. De Brusque up the ice, flubs it. Benoît pool cues it. And the Lefs botch the zone exit there. Holmberg, you can't... Oh, boy, kid.

[00:26:27]

Domi. Smart. Plays it back. Both teams changing a little bit. Five minutes in. Swayman plays it behind the net. Matthew's back out there, but it's JBR attacking for the Bruins.

[00:26:53]

Brazo and Matthews collided. Brazo slow to get up. What happened there?

[00:27:00]

Because we got a whistle. Well, Tavares, they're showing the replay. Almost had that wrap-around on Sammie. Big save from Sammie. Marshan almost had that rebound. Bruins are firing everything. Only two of the shots have made the net, though.

[00:27:36]

Labushkin, Holmberg.

[00:27:39]

Yarncroke after it.

[00:27:40]

Matthews lays the body instead of the park. Reilly in front. Doesn't go off a body.

[00:27:46]

Labush can across the ice to Reilly.

[00:27:48]

Oh, finds Matthews.

[00:27:50]

It doesn't go on. Reilly plays it into the corner for Holmberg. I like having Holmberg in the lineup. I hate seeing Robbie scratched. I think he's going to have a big season next year, but right now, I think Holmberg is what they need. Gregor gets across the line.

[00:28:08]

Kampf puts it into the chest of Swayman for a whistle.

[00:28:15]

The fourth line is going to be interesting. Exactly six minutes in, the fourth line just got out there, but you got an ozone draw. Sarah says, Go Steve's goal, wool is hurt. No, stop asking. Serious question, Kendrick or Drake, who moves on? Don't let be in a Canadian cloud your judgment here, Kendrick.

[00:28:43]

Kempf wins the draw But the Bruins come up with the fuck.

[00:28:47]

Jbr will chip it around. He's pressuring Lilligran. Bruins are all over him early. Edmondson gets it out.

[00:28:56]

To a streaking Noah Gregor who can't handle the buck. Lilligren holds the line.

[00:29:02]

Bruins finally get it out. Benoît, behind the net with Zaka. Tavares comes up with it one-handed.

[00:29:18]

Someone lost a glove. It's Tavares. He's attacking anyway. They're offside.

[00:29:24]

Maybe fortunate. Someone was going to slash him. You know where they were. That was a massive hit from Joel Edmondson on David Posternack, as we get a TV time out once again.

[00:29:43]

Boom.

[00:29:46]

It's hard to do this. Am I doing it right? I think I'm doing it right.

[00:29:49]

Neutral Vodka Soda is now available in lime tall cans at the LCBO. Vodka, soda, lime made with just three ingredients.

[00:30:01]

Neutral contains zero grams of sugar, zero grams of carbs, and certainly zero chance of me having a heart attack on camera because it's another game seven. Absolutely zero chance.

[00:30:17]

Neutral.

[00:30:18]

Refreshingly, simple. And the game has been simple so far. Get it in, get it deep, get it right. The last time, I was just a snarky jerk who donated this amount. You all won handily, so good luck again from Matthew, who donated... Well, super chatted. 1967.

[00:30:40]

I already have 21 texts. 25, sorry. My own friends don't owe my job.

[00:30:59]

Northeast Outrider. Can we get a Let's go! I'm running out a voice to do that with. Oilers fan here. Love your stuff, bro. Thank you, bro. Now, am I weird to have Cuthbert and Simpson muted to listen to your play-by-play? Hey, I got nothing against those guys. I cannot listen to more than one thing at once, so that's up to you. Steve, you sound and look nervous.

[00:31:26]

So it's not about Game 7.

[00:31:28]

It's actually about talking to 10,000 people concurrently. And then this LFR, whether the Lefs Win or Lose, is going to be viewed by probably over a quarter million people.

[00:31:45]

That makes me nervous.

[00:31:50]

13:21 to go in the first period. The Bruins have a problem with their bench door. It won't close, which I 100% am full-blown conspiracy believe is on purpose. The Bruins were responsible for the Leaps getting to the ice late today. Alexander gifted one SDP on membership. Ty Smith, Trivia Time. Last time the Leaps won a game seven was in 2004 against my Ottawa senators. Who scored for the Five subs for the right answer. I believe it was Joe Neuendike twice. And was it Alan McCauley got the other one? Oh, and it was 4-1. Gary Roberts. I feel like I'm pretty close to right, and you should just do it anyway. Puck is about to drop here. Geeky against Tavares. Tavares Who wins it back to Nyes, who gets it back to Benwa. Benwa up the ice between William Neylander's legs. Do that against Swayman, and we'll be gravy.

[00:33:10]

Benwa up the ice.

[00:33:11]

That's icing, unfortunately. 13:07 to go in the first period. Luckily, we're just coming out of a TV time out. Should be fresh legs out there. Any chance of some vooter, wizardry, and BS tonight?

[00:33:27]

Always.

[00:33:30]

It is game seven.

[00:33:34]

Ty Smith, gifted tennis to be in memberships.

[00:33:36]

Let's go. Bruins win the face off back. Mcavoy into the corner.

[00:33:40]

He gets a friendly bounce from the boards, and the Bruins have time. They have space. Zaka. Lots of time, lots of space. Someone's without a stick. Sammie's without a stick. Shot from Lorai, block from Benoît. In front, the leaves. You might be better off with an icing. Nies, get it out. Leaves can't get it out. Get it out. What was that soft stuff around the boards? Pasta, puts it on. Tip. Dude, ice the thing. You're better off with a goalie with a stick in his hand. Tavares knocked to the ice by Posterknock. Mcavoy. On. Ice it. Nyes gets it out. Does Samy get a stick, though? No. Ice it! Niz gets it to center ice.

[00:34:37]

Sammie gets his stick.

[00:34:39]

That did not need to be that hard.

[00:34:43]

Charlie Coyle Behind the net, Labushkin. Up the ice to Bertuzzi. Bad pass straight to Charlie Coyle. Here comes to Brusk. He's killed the Leaps in the playoffs. Not just this year. Sammie covers it 11:44 to go in the first period. Joe twice as Ty Smith. Chad Kilger opened the scoring, I forgot. And Jake, Brian McCabe. I think part of the reason pasta has been pretty absent this series is because the guy has been getting flattened game in and game out. Also, RIP, Drake, Kendrick laid him to rest. Yeah, I agree. I agree.

[00:35:26]

Wow.

[00:35:27]

Scorpion block from Simone Benoît there. Cassie says, May the fourth be with you and the Leaps, and also with you. 11:44 to go in the first.

[00:35:41]

Bruins win that face-off. Lindhol on, gloved by Sammie.

[00:35:52]

11:39 to go in the first. On top of all the other leafiness with tonight's game, Bergeron there, Wole injured, the streak implications. It's JBR's birthday, too. What a coincidence.

[00:36:07]

Oh, my God!

[00:36:09]

That was a really quick chance off to face off. Holmberg gets it into the corner for Yarn Croke.

[00:36:16]

Matthews, first on the buck.

[00:36:18]

This line has been doing good things, and Sheldon keeps been doing a good job keeping them in the offensive zone. But here come the Bruins.

[00:36:24]

This is a three on two. This is bad. And they put it right into Samsonov's chest. That is a wasted opportunity. And the Bruin is going right at Matthews. Maroon in there, Boquist, Yarn Croke, Edmondson. Our first Scrum of the game, really.

[00:36:51]

If I could bet on who takes the penalty for Well, the Bruins should be getting the first penalty. Marcian shoved a ref last game, and nothing happened. Chris, my father is a Boston fan. His mom is a Toronto fan. So this has been an interesting series. Hey, Steve. I'm always torn when it's Boston and Toronto. I want a Canadian team to win in my lifetime, but Boston is my favorite American city, and I'm all about Boston teams. Also, I work with Curtis Sanford's father.

[00:37:27]

Well, that should be the tiebreaker. Go leaves, go.

[00:37:30]

Curtis Sanford leaves goalie coach. 11:14 to go in the first period. Shot 6-3, Bruins. This is their best start since game 4. Great play off the draw there to Conor Duhre, who will lift it. Noah Gregor and Conor Duhre are attacking. Bruins break out again. Their breakout has been far better.

[00:37:53]

Bruins, whoa. Again, another good block by Simone Benwa.

[00:37:58]

I don't know if that will count as a block, but he certainly blocked the pass. Wotherspoon.

[00:38:06]

Kemp chasing the buck.

[00:38:10]

Gregor.

[00:38:11]

Good fourth-line shift. Puts it on.

[00:38:14]

Around. Labushkin first on it, gets it low to Kempf. Kempf. Low to Reilly. Reilly tried to shoot it on. I think it was stopped by Shattenkirke. Thank you, Dino Vittorio. Jbr puts it in for Brazo. Three on one by the leaves. They take it off him easily. Reilly off the glass and out.

[00:38:39]

Fortunate bounce to Nize, but McAvoy gloves it to himself. Bruins up the ice. They almost sent a man on a break, but they ice the buck, 10:04 to go in the first period.

[00:38:54]

Sammie looks not that bad, even a bit good. Be careful. It's early. Caine's fan here. Last time Domi played Boston in a game seven was in 2022 for Carolina. He had two goals and an assist. Hope he contributes tonight. Belief, and we will advance to the second round. That began the Bruins losing streak of games where they could eliminate a team. Six straight games, they could have eliminated a team they've lost. Dating back to that game in 2022 against Carolina. Game seven against Carolina, games five, six, and seven against Florida, games five and six against Toronto, and we will see about seven. Neylander to Tavares, can't handle the pass, still has the buck, though.

[00:39:44]

Willy, lots of time, lots of space. Mckay puts it on. Tip.

[00:39:48]

It doesn't make its way into the net. Reilly in the corner, puts it on.

[00:39:52]

Rebound.

[00:39:54]

Leaps generating a little bit there. Domi goes for offense there. It doesn't work. Zaka into the corner. He's stopped by Labushkin. Domi, breaking the puck out. Marner puts it into the corner for Bertuzzi, who manages to stay on-side. Bruin's breaking out. Two on two, now a three on three. Coyle into the corner for De Brusque. Tag team by the leaves. Bertuzzi kicks it out, but it doesn't find a leaf. It finds a Bruin.

[00:40:31]

Lindholm on rebound. Sammie with the stop. Sammie with the cover up. 8:45 to go in the first period.

[00:40:42]

[00:41:47]

Who needs to stretch? We're going to stretch. We're going to stretch.

[00:41:52]

Little elephant walk, shake your butt. There you go.

[00:42:00]

Oh, man.

[00:42:03]

Kind of funny that the last time the Leaps won the Stanley Cup was the year I was born. I'm starting to get a bit old. You said that, not me. I would never say that about you, Northeast Outrider. Never. Are you getting old or distinguished? You know what I mean? You know what I mean? Sheldon Keefe saying, Relax, breathe. He said that before the game. To that Lee fan standing up just behind the Lee's bench, I hope you know how to fight. Hey, street kills. Gifted five Sdpn memberships. Let's go And we all pray on the downfall of the Bruins. Go, Leaps. Leaps, win a D-zone draw. 8 to 3 are the shots for the Bruins. Kampf, on side. Kampf, Duhre, Gregor. Those are three defensive fast workhorses. Gregor, to the point.

[00:43:19]

Shot from Benoît. Great shot from Benoît, gloved by Swayman. That would have been something.

[00:43:27]

That was a nifty glove safe. Benoît. All right, Benny. All right, Benny. So one thing the Bruins did from game one, I remember, is Benoît had the fuck a lot. He If he's doing well with the blocks and everything. I'm not saying he's bad. He's just not a very good offensive player. And it felt like the Leaps were trying to force offense through him in game one, and that obviously was not a winning recipe. Matthews out there with With Marner and Bertuzzi in the offensive zone.

[00:44:02]

Wins the draw to Marner. Marner to Edmondson on. Rebound. Oh, Lilligren, I think, is in front of the net and down. Someone's got to support him, though. Edmondson holds the line.

[00:44:15]

Bertuzzi after it.

[00:44:17]

Lindhome, get up, Tyler. There's Matthews being held. That's a clear hold from Lindhome. Game seven whistle.

[00:44:26]

Now, you got to call the pick on Hall, though.

[00:44:30]

Edmondson. Oh, looks for his teammates, doesn't find them. Lilligren, lays a hit.

[00:44:38]

Had to be careful with it, though. And that leaves Big Line is going to look for a change here. I imagine it'll be who's over the boards. Yeah, Tavares. And I assume Willy and Nye's. Labushkin digging. Comes out with it around for Willy.

[00:45:00]

Willy's got to scamper a little bit. Oh, cuts to the front of the net.

[00:45:03]

Tavares handles it.

[00:45:06]

He'll get it out, but the Bruins will get the buck.

[00:45:09]

Here comes McAvoy with speed, shoots on Sammie, No rebound, and he'll get the Ozone draw for the Bruins. So a lot of lead fans rejoicing that West McAuli is not officiating this game. Eric Furlatt is, and Eric Furlatt is actually the guy who made the call, if I'm not mistaken, on Justin Hall in game seven in 2022. The Leifs have had issues with Furlatt in the past, but I mean, it's a lot of refs.

[00:45:54]

Can't blame it on them. A tight-wistled game probably favors the Leaps, which you couldn't have said in years past.

[00:46:03]

Face offs, 9-4, Leaps advantage. Trent Frederick gets kicked out of this one. Jbr is going to take it. Bruins, Don't come up with it. Jake McCabe shovels it out. Oh, Dumer got punched in the face there. I think they'll call that a hand pass. He got punched in the face. He was going for the This is the Bruins' third straight year going to the game seven in the first round. Ali says, Leef should take out Marshan if they're losing. Worth it. No, they should not. How dare you? How dare you? Swayman equals saveman. Samsonov equals Sivsnov.

[00:46:58]

Would you stay up all night He's fighting that one.

[00:47:01]

Bertuzzi gets it deep. Under seven minutes to go in the first period. Domi reads a play. Bertuzzi.

[00:47:08]

Back around for Domi. In front. No one there. Never mind. Bert's there. Bruins, try to clear. They can't. Edmondson. Oh, boy. Bruins get it deep. This won't be ice.

[00:47:19]

Sammie, up to Edmondson, who gets hit.

[00:47:22]

Bruins with pressure here. Get to that puck, boys. Get to that puck. Domi and Mitch on offense. Leaps offside.

[00:47:33]

Probably looking for a change, too. Wotherspoon. Gaines center, dumps it. Holmberg. I almost called him Wotherspoon. Brains in autopilot. Puck out of play. 6:12 to go in the first period. Frederick going at it with Pontus Holmberg has been a jerk, and I'm here for Austin Rodgers, not wishing for it. Who's the least backup goalie? It is not Woll. It is Martin Jones tonight. Woll is not even dressed. I think there's some discussion about where the face off is going. Bruins are, I think, arguing it should be in the leaf zone, and the leaves are lining up outside of their blue line. Kelly Sutherland, by the way, is the other official for this game. Face off outside the leaves zone, Matthews to take it against Frederick. Frederick wins it clean. Rings it around. Labushkin comes up with it. Lots of Bruins on him. Brazo cuts to the net.

[00:49:02]

Frederick. In front to McAvoy shoots. Blocked. Humberg. He'll ice it.

[00:49:11]

That's all right. 5:49 to go in the first period. Yeah, producer Drew is saying, Got to be the most blocked shots the Leaps have had in a period so far this series.

[00:49:28]

It's probably up there, dude.

[00:49:32]

Least shots the Leaps have had in the first period for a while. Most shots the Bruins have had in the first period in a while. Not great early returns. It doesn't feel like the Leaps are being grossly outplayed, but I would definitely say Advantage Bruins.

[00:49:49]

Matthews uses his body. Puck out. I don't know how.

[00:49:53]

Yeah, the Bruins pass back to the point and they missed it. That's why Swayman left the net to play the puck. Matthews Acavoy attacking with speed. Again, dumps it. Nice. Goes around. Benoît handles it in his feet. Tavares comes up with it. That'll do hook pass to a streak in Jake McCabe instead of William Neylander. Nice. Behind the nets of Tavares, who can't handle it, the Bruins will exit. Pasta, collects it. Dumps it. Lindhome. Carlo. Carlo flubs it into the corner. Willy, you got to read that a little quicker, bud. Into the chest of Samsonov. And I saw this in the chat, but I refused to read it while the puck was in the D zone. Alan Fray says, I'm scared. Sammie looks good. Landon says, If and when If the Leifs win, is Monte on the hot seat next year? Oh, if the Leifs win, I think Monte might be fired, which is crazy because I think he's an incredible coach. Oh, my God. Tv time out. At the beginning of the play, I was fighting for my life with allergies, and then And they went away. Then we did yard work today, not thinking about it at all, and we kicked up all of that crap.

[00:51:42]

And my voice has been wrecked. My eyes are wrecked. My skin is itchy. I feel game seven ready is how I feel. Rui, no more stone wool. Got the Samsonov wool. Adam, was at the live show last week. I was in the coyote's jersey. Of course, I remember you. Wanted to say, You are a great showman and humble. Love your work, Steve. Thank you. Save the nice things for if they lose. They're not going to. Producer Drew says it's officially six blocks each. So the leaves are... I think what we're seeing, Drew, is, well, first of all, they don't count these things very well in real-time. And second of all, I think they're blocking a lot of passes, which is... People do track that stat. I just don't know if it's publicly available. Shouldn't they get some NHL eBugs for the playoffs? Imagine Sarras is an eBug. Yo, that'd be sick. It'll never happen.

[00:53:02]

Fun.

[00:53:03]

A fun idea. All right. Leaps. Another D zone draw. Not a great trend. 4:44 to go in the first period. Shots 10:4 for the Bruins, and they win that face off clean. Lourai, I think. De McAvoy puts it on, easily gloved by Sammie, and the Bruins look at a face-off on the other side of the D zone. Gerrard, How is Kelly Sutherland allowed to ref after that early whistle in Philly, which caused Detroit our spot in the playoffs? He is public enemy number one. A lot of people upset with the refs. Cassie, would you guys ever do a live show in another city? Of course. Of course. Face off, Scrums. Mccabe can't get it out. Oh, nice will.

[00:54:00]

Name tag says Shaka as an E-Bug.

[00:54:09]

Someone's an SDP VIP. That's a reference from our most recent VIP episode. We talk about Shaka, the five-legged zebra, who I used to know from my old job at the Toronto Zoo. Have I ever mentioned that I worked there? 4:30 to go in the first period. Tavares out there for a draw. The Bruins win it back again. Leaves had an early advantage in the face-off. The Bruins are starting to take it back. Marshan with it, rings it around. Tavares giving chase. Lorai backs up Charlie Coyle.

[00:54:44]

Marshan comes up with it. Mcavoy. Oh, nice. Gets it out. He's trying to be first on this one. Lee Nyees. Oh, Nyees. Won a puck battle. Got it to William Nylander. I couldn't get words out of my mouth. And Neylander robbed by Swayman. If that went in, that would have been a very controversial play because I think the Bruins wanted a hook on Nyees.

[00:55:14]

And producer Drew is saying that would have been the funniest clip ever because all he did was go, That happened really fast. Sdpn should do it in Pittsburgh. We love Yinds down there. I would love to visit Pittsburgh. Neylander robbed by Swayman. He's getting his chances, though. That combination has been magic. 4:04 to go in the first period. Ozone draw. Domi out there with Marner and Bertuzzi. Bruins into the leaves zone. Edmondson bodies Frederick. Lilligran, flies around with speed, turns it over. Edmondson now given chase. He's got to throw it around.

[00:55:53]

No support. Brazo in front of GBR, who puts it right into the chest of Sam Samsonov. Not great, boys.

[00:56:06]

Who would have thought the Leifs MVP for this period would probably be Yelia Samsonov, dude. Nick S. Say the Leifs win and Monty gets fired by the Beaves. Oh, this is interesting. If the Leifs get dominated in round two, would the Leifs fire Keef and hire Monte?

[00:56:22]

Thoughts. Hockey, the NHL is not fun enough for that to happen. That would be incredible.

[00:56:33]

It's just I don't see it happening. 3:43 to go in the first period. Another draw in the Leifs zone. Kampf wins this one. The Leifs will airmail it.

[00:56:46]

What was the plan there?

[00:56:48]

Another ice, 3:36 to go in the first. You win a face-off clean just to ice it. Got to wonder if that nice semi hook there on De Bruyce doesn't get called. What is it going to take to get a call in this game? Love you in your video, Steve. Is it just me or are the Leifs lacking some of that desperation and energy of game 6? I don't know. I think the Bruins... Give the Bruins credit, man. They're a good team. I think they're playing really well. Boston wins that clean? Wotherspoon, Bruins behind the net now. Boquist and Maroon. Big lads out there for the Bruin's.

[00:57:37]

Wotherspoon. Oh, misshandles it. Holds the line, though.

[00:57:40]

Labushkin into it with Maroon.

[00:57:44]

Camp, Jeff, scampers out with it, gets it up the boards to Reilly.

[00:57:49]

Who gets it out?

[00:57:50]

Gregor.

[00:57:51]

I think that's going to be ice. No, apparently not. Battle in the Bruin's corner. They come out of it clean. It was one on four. Boquist dumps it in. He'll probably go off for a change soon. Maroon lays a hit on Jake McCabe. I assume he'll go for a line change as well.

[00:58:09]

Benwa lays the body on Marshan off a potential turnover there.

[00:58:14]

Humbert Homburg, into the corner. Matthew's battling Coyle.

[00:58:18]

Holmberg dogged.

[00:58:21]

Taken down. Marshan with it behind the Bruins net. Bruins get out with it. What? On Earth happened there. Puck went out of play. I think it went off the curved glass. Omar, need more positivity on Sammie? He's the guy now. I mean, he's played really well, man. Game seven win equals a Mrs. Dangle appearance on LFR. Zero chance. That woman gave birth to a baby nine weeks ago, and she is sleeping. She has been asleep for an hour. Clayman If I were a leaf and I got a penalty, I would simply not go to the box.

[00:59:03]

What are they going to do? Penalize me?

[00:59:05]

That is actually the answer. Yes. Bruins along the half wall. Geeky.

[00:59:14]

Neelander. Tavares gets it out to Willy with speed. He scored from here before, drives the net. Won't be a scoring chance, but it'll be an offensive zone draw, something that the leaves have lacked a little of.

[00:59:29]

2 08 to go in the first period. Shots 11 to 6 for the Bruins. Wait, isn't that swapping coaches with the team that you played in the last round? Exactly what Vegas did when they dumped Galant for De Boer. Don't make me do math right now. Go Austin Matthews, No.

[00:59:44]

Go Austin Matthews. It's, Hey, Austin Matthews, get laid, score goals.

[00:59:50]

Shots a little lopsided, but not upset with how they're playing. I agree. Win or lose, LFR should be called tea time. Clever. Leaps, Ozone, draw. They lose it. Charlie Coyle.

[01:00:05]

Oh, Leaps, hold the line, though. Max Domi, shoots! Oh, Swayman. He stopped it up here, had to give a little of this.

[01:00:13]

Ozone, draw. One more time. Minute 59 to go in the first period. The fact, Sammie Zanet says the Leaps will lose this game.

[01:00:28]

How dare you, Patrick?

[01:00:31]

Literally been the best player so far. Minute 59 in the first period.

[01:00:35]

Domi wins that, but the ref didn't like it.

[01:00:38]

So they're going to do it again. I don't know why he didn't like it. Domi kicked out. Marner is going to take the draw.

[01:00:58]

Marner wins.

[01:01:00]

Lilligran into the corner for Marner.

[01:01:03]

Domi.

[01:01:03]

In front for Bertuzzi. It doesn't work. Bruins escape with numbers.

[01:01:08]

Marner, good defensive stick, and he takes down his man.

[01:01:14]

It doesn't lead to anything for the Leaps.

[01:01:16]

Well, that's not true.

[01:01:18]

Bruins don't get a scoring chance. Leaps have the puck right now. Yes, it absolutely does lead to something for the Leaps. Good play from Mitch. Bertuzzi.

[01:01:24]

Oh, deflection. Off the side of Swayman. Puck behind the Bruins net.

[01:01:30]

Reilly was having a stick held by McAvoy. Sneaky grease. Brazo. Misses high and wide. Reilly out. Bruins collect it. Offside for the Bruins, Brazo hit at the whistle by Benoît, and Brazo's battling something for sure. No, I already read that one.

[01:01:55]

Watching from Japan Sunday morning at 9:57 7:00 AM, and you say, Canada 2:1.

[01:02:09]

That's time travel, man. You can't convince me it's not. That's crazy that it's 10:00 in the morning tomorrow for you. I understand how the world works, how the globe works, but I still have a hard time wrapping my head around that. In the hockey arena, straight up jorking it, and by it, I mean my fuck. Klayman, are you all right? You just made me say, Jorking it into a mic.

[01:02:40]

Marner, gain center, dumps it. Or rather, that was Yarn Croke.

[01:02:47]

Or is it Marner? It is Marner. Who's out there with Holmberg and Matthews.

[01:02:53]

That's why I was confused. Marner, slaps off from the point. Stop by Swayman. In the corner. Mccabe puts it in front. Can't find anyone. Mccabe's got to get back with speed. So does Marner. And Pasta stopped up just enough to screw up way.

[01:03:11]

The entry for the Bruins. Under there's 25 seconds to go in the first period. Michael, I'd love a line of Bertuzzi, Domi, and Marchment. Oh, I see what you did there. The nepotism line.

[01:03:25]

I like it. Tavares. Oh, what a move!

[01:03:28]

Up and over the net 10.3 seconds to go in the first period. We'll get an Ozone draw. Derek Cooke says, Jorking it in the chat. You don't need to tell us that. Steve, when is the Dangle's videos coming out?

[01:03:49]

I'm busy.

[01:03:51]

Thank you for asking. Nye's out there. Boy, that camera keeps What's going on Charlie McAfoy.

[01:04:02]

That's enough.

[01:04:03]

Tavares, Nylander, Nye's out there. Bruins win the face off. They send it all the way down the ice. No icing, though. Coyle on Labushkin. Labushkin just kills the clock, and that'll do it for the first period. Shots 11-8 for Boston.

[01:04:29]

Score zero, zero.

[01:04:32]

My heart, 180. Clayman V, LMAO, it's an old tumbler meme. I just really wanted to hear you say, Jorking it. Go leaves, go.

[01:04:52]

Oh, My heart. Oh, my heart.

[01:05:07]

Steve Dangle here. I can't say that. I won't let myself say that. I'm Steve Dangle here on the SDPN YouTube channel.

[01:05:20]

Click like, click subscribe. Tell all your friends, game seven.

[01:05:28]

Here There we are.

[01:05:32]

What's the deserve to winometer, Drew?

[01:05:35]

You want me to guess? I'm going to say Bruins 70% of the time.

[01:05:51]

Whoa. Hot damn, I was close. What does that say? 71.3? Wow! Do you see how little that hurts me? All right, you had a good first. It's zero, zero.

[01:06:14]

Bruins, I believe, were losing. No, no, no, they weren't. I was going to say they were losing after... The Bruins had a horrible first period in game one. Or not in game one. The Bruins had a horrible first period in period one of game five, and a horrible first period in the first period of game six.

[01:06:37]

It was tied after both of them.

[01:06:41]

So when Jim Montgomery highlighted it after the game, like, yeah, it's bad. It's bad to start bad.

[01:06:48]

It's not why he lost.

[01:06:50]

Put you behind the eight ball maybe a little bit. That's not why he lost. Bruins had a better first period in the leaves. Zero, zero. Who cares? He Steve, have you seen the edit of you on Instagram? I think I know the one you're talking about, where I talk about... Is that what Boston does now? And only was I hyped. Andrea, Steve, are you going to money in the bank? Is money in the bank in Toronto? I have not heard. Probably not. I'm still in baby jail at the moment, but I love it. Sl, I know you hate raw bell peppers. Yes. But have you ever taken a bite out of a raw jalapeno or other spicy pepper? I think of, yeah. Bitten just jalapeno? No. I've had jalapenos. I like chillies. I like spicy stuff. It's bell peppers for some reason. Watching from Toronto as real... Or sorry. Taylor says, Watching from Mocanda, it's as real as Toronto's chances. Well, luckily, Wakanda is real. So how dare you? Paul Douglas, Do you think Edge is watching? No, but I do believe Adam Copeland is watching. Just started watching with a minute left. Why is Sammie in?

[01:08:23]

Why have they not been watching Wole? So here's the problem. A lot of people think Sheldon Keef just decided to start Eli Samson off. Wole's hurt. He's not even backing up. It's Martin Jones. Sammie has been good. As a Caps fan, I know watching Sammie play goal is not fun. You just don't know what you're going to get, dude. Wow. Hampa's Lindholme is 0 for 6 in game seven? Now I'm trying to think of them all. How many did he play with the Ducks? Why can't any of these teams score goals anymore? You could ask that question league-wide.

[01:09:06]

They shut the valve off hard.

[01:09:10]

Oh, sorry. Yeah, Drew in my ear goes, settle down. Sorry, I forgot the Colorado avalanche exist. It's going to be a Western conference final of the only two teams in the league who can still score. I feel like the Bruins were 100%, Leaps were at 80. Keef just wanted to get through the first at zeros. Keef knew They were going to bring it in seven.

[01:09:33]

I mean, Jim Montgomery in the media, laid out the whole game plan after game six, when you think about it.

[01:09:42]

But I don't think any coach goes, All right, boys, let's go out there and have a terrible first. So I don't know. They were definitely trying mind games. They changed up where their practice was. Leaps only got to skate for 15 minutes. They had to skate, I think it was 20 minutes later than they usually would have. They're desperate, man. I honestly, I think the Bruins need this more than the least. They do. Watching from Helsinki on my 30th birthday. Kitos. Good leaves and happy birthday. Did you watch Backlash? That crowd was white hot and made every match feel like five stars. No, I saw some clips from Backlash today. It was in Lyon, France, right? I saw a couple of clips, but I was doing dad stuff. Half-a-half yard work, and a snooze cruise. Daught her wouldn't settle. Put her in the car. She was pissed, drove around for a little bit. She was less pissed, and she just straight up fell asleep. It was great.

[01:10:46]

Heart rate check. Hi.

[01:10:49]

Japan here again. It's 10:07 AM. Games over here.

[01:10:53]

3:1, Toronto. That's a funny comment.

[01:10:59]

You're a funny guy.

[01:11:03]

Paula with 5,500 Chilean...

[01:11:07]

I believe it's Chilean pesos.

[01:11:09]

I don't know how much that is, but thank you. Pre-ordered your book. Yeah. So it's traveling to Chile in October. Two books. That's so many books.

[01:11:20]

Thank you, Paula. You, legend. You, legend. Yes, Drew, I would like a quick break so that I can just go refill my water. I need less than five minutes. Yeah, let's go to the three-minute clip. So Patrick Roy, Lou Lamorello, two men who work for the New York Islanders and are going to continue to work for the New York Islanders, according to Lou Lamorello. Here we are talking about it on the Steve Dangle podcast.

[01:12:00]

On Long Island, Lou Lamorello and Patrick Roy will be back. Lou Lamorello is 82.

[01:12:11]

So that's been announced?

[01:12:12]

That's been announced. Lou and Patrick sat up in front of this the fans today, sorry, in front of the media today and said, We will be back. You know what? I'll give Lou credit. He turned the season around bringing Patrick in. I will be interested to see what Patrick Roie is able to do with a team coming out of training camp, it's very clear that a guy like Stephen Stamkos would be perfect for this team. I know we've talked about him with the Predators. We talk about him with Detroit. Man, they need... First off, they love... Kyle Dubas loves his guys. Lou Lamorello loves his old guys. He loves guys he can relate to. He's still double their age, but he wants a guy who plays the game the right way, shaves, wears a suit, all that stuff.

[01:12:57]

Mark Giordano?

[01:12:57]

Mark Giordano might be an Islander. I don't know. But But I got to say, what has been interesting is Andrew Gross from Newsday said, I asked Lou Lamorello, specifically, whether he expects director of goaltending, Mitch Corn to return, who I believe was the least former goaltender.

[01:13:13]

Yeah, they lost him, and it was a big deal.

[01:13:15]

Lou quickly said, Yes, industry expectation is the opposite, is what Andrew says. So Mitch Corn could become a very coveted free agent goalie coach.

[01:13:28]

Well, speaking of people who I had heard whispers of would become a coveted free agent is Lou Lamorello. So when you told me that, I was surprised.

[01:13:37]

You've heard whispers. I think this is it for him.

[01:13:39]

I mean, not that you... Credible whispers are difficult to come by when it comes to Lou Lamorello. Yeah.

[01:13:45]

But you got to imagine he's looking at like, This is my final job. Oh, I think- Then I'm going to retire. I don't know. I got to retire at some point.

[01:13:53]

I don't think he's ever thought that ever. No. What are you talking about?

[01:13:58]

I don't know. It's like where you play I don't know if you guys have ever played fallout, but they're added. You see sometimes like, skeleton still at their desk from when the bomb went off? Yeah. That's Lou.

[01:14:08]

I'm just picturing him- He's just never going to stop. With a little Pina colada on a sun loungeer on the beach in a full suit. Yes.

[01:14:17]

I just don't think he's a guy that would do well not working.

[01:14:20]

A little bit of sunscreen on his forehead.

[01:14:21]

How old is Lou now?

[01:14:23]

82.

[01:14:24]

82. Wow.

[01:14:26]

I respect the grind and the hustle and all things. And you know what? The Islanders fortunes before Lou got there were pretty ugly. They were playing in a bad arena. They were not near their fans. He got them back in Nassau. They got the arena built. Ubs, apparently, is amazing.

[01:14:45]

The team wasn't good.

[01:14:46]

Team wasn't good. They've been to, what, two conference finals and a couple of playoff appearances, too.

[01:14:51]

I think his biggest- The damn Tampa Bay Lightning got in their way.

[01:14:52]

His biggest mistake was, and I'm sure this was the same with Washington as well. I believe that managing Barry Trotz very difficult because Barry's got some very defined opinions on how hockey should be. But both of those teams, the Caps and the Islanders, have been worse since Barry left. And look at the Nashville Predators. I don't disagree. So I think his biggest mistake was going, let's let Lane Lambert take over. Right.

[01:15:17]

I don't disagree. So We're back. Let's get right into it. From Cuzz, As an oilers fan, I wish nothing but the worst for the leaves. What a way to come back. As a Steve Dangle fan, I wish nothing but the best for you, dude. Your channel is one of my favorites. Cheers all and all the best, except for the leaves. I really need the leaves to win. So if you're cheering for me, you're cheering for the leaves tonight. Thanks. Hey, Steve. Much love from Tampa. Bolts leaves love. What? Thank you. I'll take that love. I appreciate it. I got to refresh my chat. There are so many people So many people. I apologize if I don't get to everyone. I can't even scroll. Baseball stat, and you're probably thinking super chat? Yes, that too. Baseball stat, pirates have four runs in the last 238 innings. That can't be true. Oh, my God. We got dialed in. Scary, Sammie. People need to chill. Check the video of him during the Anthems. You can tell he is a shark with a friggin laser beam. Dude, he looked good in the first.

[01:17:10]

That little, hi-ya, like that, that, that puck, that, that glove where he just goes, hi-ya.

[01:17:16]

He grabs it like that and then puts it down. That's when Sammie's dialed in. Robert Bet might not make any sense, but the Leaps this year seem not built for the playoffs, but Game 7 or when it's do or die, like when key players are out and they find that extra needed bit. That's just enough galaxy brain for me to get behind it. Mark, watching from Ireland, lived in Boston for a while, but cheering for the leaves tonight. Good buddy from Toronto still lives in Boston, has suffered enough. Amen to that. I'm sorry, Steve, but thanks for letting me... Thanks for getting me to like hockey and also F you for it being the leaves. If the leaves win, you should eat a bell pepper. No. Screw the haters. Love the zoo stories. I want more. Thank you. Said it in game one, I'm a Tampa fan who hates the leaves, but I hate Boston way more. Love you, Steve, and all you do, go leaves, go. You haven't forgotten 2011. Go leaves, go tonight. Go abs for the cups, says Joseph. I can think of one other person who's watching this who may be thinking along the same lines.

[01:18:37]

10,000 of you in here. 3,500 likes.

[01:18:42]

That math doesn't math.

[01:18:59]

When I'm this nervous, I usually eat really light. And today I did not do that. So I am uncomfortable. Click like, click subscribe. Tell all your friends. Eilish Forfar, who works at Sportsnet, formerly my coworker. She's lovely.

[01:19:29]

She is currently at a wedding.

[01:19:39]

Dude. Weddings are getting more and more expensive, and people are looking at things to do to offset the cost. And that means weddings are creeping more and more and more and more into hockey season. And as someone who works in hockey, I hate it. But as someone who's 36 and has already gone to most of his weddings, I don't care. Jeremy Huskins, watched Toronto win 1-0 like Vancouver last night.

[01:20:15]

The win is a win.

[01:20:16]

Does Steve Dangle believe in Joe Hendry? I don't know who that is. Can you tell the story about the guys in the Giraffe Enclosure? That's a long story. If we have time, if we have time, would you lose this game if it guaranteed a Stanley Cup final appearance next year, but you have no idea on the outcome? What if they make the Stanley Cup final this year? You never know. You never know. That feels like a monkey'saw thing. That It feels like the thing the devil would get you to agree to and just watch you rip your heart out. Talons are, on the bright side, you can judge what a man you are by the enemies and haters you have.

[01:21:11]

And then the next comment is, Kendra dropped another track.

[01:21:15]

Is that from it?

[01:21:18]

Bars. That's a bar.

[01:21:21]

You can judge what man you are by the enemies and haters you have. That is a bar. Chasing Pixel's side note. Shout out to Hyman. Leaps lost out. Unnecessary, but yes. Professor foxtrot. I would like to thank all of the Bruins fans for joining, especially all of the haters and losers.

[01:21:45]

Who are you quoting?

[01:21:48]

Certainly not anyone who ran for president. Hey, Steve, how are you going to feel when Mitch is playing with Bedard in Chicago and JT is a Yeti next season? I'll feel like a guy with so much cap space. Hey, Steve, what's up? I have been sent... I have been sent... I have been sent... I have been sent you some stuff on your Instagram. I will check it out, Hayden. I was 10 years old for the first time this playoff matchup happened in 2013. That was now 11 years ago. About half my a life ago. Hope to finally see the Leaps beat Boston. Me, too.

[01:22:37]

We're coming back.

[01:22:58]

Auggie, you're only This team has aged you well, my friend.

[01:23:04]

Thank you.

[01:23:05]

Is there an audio version of the new book?

[01:23:08]

Not yet.

[01:23:10]

I think there will be, but I can't guarantee it yet, so I won't lie to you.

[01:23:14]

Tavares, gain center, gets it deep.

[01:23:17]

Will he going after it? Doesn't get to it first. Bruins, good. Everything there from Boston.

[01:23:26]

Zaka, lots of time, lots of space.

[01:23:28]

Sammie makes the save. I'm not entirely sure he knows where it is. 1936 to go in the second period, obviously very early on. Watching from Oxford, England. Go leaves, go, and shout out my parents watching in Guelff, Ontario. Had to explain to my two-year-old that hockey might end tonight. She looked at me and just said, Hockey tomorrow? Go bees.

[01:23:54]

I got kids, too. Go leaves.

[01:23:58]

Panthers fan here. Beat Boston, please. Leaps, it'll be super funny like last year. Much love from your hopeful next round enemies. Bruins, win the Ozone draw. Shattenkirke, can't get it through. Gregor almost sprung himself on a break. It didn't work. Gregor. Out. Wotherspoon, in. Benoît, not out.

[01:24:28]

Maroon, collects it. Bruins He's got some numbers here. This is bad.

[01:24:31]

Oh, Maroon screws it up. Thank God. He's in the corner with another chance, though. He goes down. Jake McCabe with it. Oh, Gregor takes a hit to make a play. It gets it deep. Both teams starting to change Beacher with speed on high, wide, and out. Nice little play there from Lillagrin. Gets it to Marner, who chipped it in for Domi, who lost it. Domi. We'll dump it in. Bertuzzi gives Chase, De Brusque in the corner there. Former teammate, Bertuzzi puts it on. The one Bruin on the leaves who is part of that game seven collapse against the Panthers last year.

[01:25:30]

Lilligren, whoa.

[01:25:32]

Hammer. About two minutes into the second period here. Puck goes deep, and that'll be ice. 18:03 to go in the second period. It's mostly... Bertuzzi has been out there a while. That's not great. Can we get a dog-o cameo next intermission? No. I'm sorry. I have too much to do. He doesn't listen as well as he used to. His hearing is not going. He's just stubborn. I was 17 when the least last Last one around.

[01:26:01]

Now I'm 18. Crazy it's been that long.

[01:26:04]

That's a good one. Steve, big fan. Great game so far. No matter what, the better team wins the night. Psk Bruins. Shut up. Leaves D-Zone draw. Domi and Frederick go at it, scrummed along the boards, Brazo comes up with it, gets it to Frederick.

[01:26:20]

It's in front. Oh, no. Lilligran takes the first penalty of the game.

[01:26:24]

He trips James Van Riemzeke, and the Bruins will go to a power play. I love the Leaps, but I'm biased. Both teams want it, and I'm happy for either team who wins. Also, I'm buying a jersey of the team who wins the East. Let's see how this penalty gets drawn. Yeah, that's a trippity trip trip on Lilligran. Jeffrey, pants or no pants?

[01:26:57]

I am wearing pants.

[01:27:02]

Bare over two minutes in to the second period. Bruin's power play. They are six for 15 in the series.

[01:27:17]

Oh, boy.

[01:27:18]

Jbr with it.

[01:27:19]

Shattenkirke on.

[01:27:21]

Stopped by Sammie, and the leaves have killed six seconds.

[01:27:28]

Proof.

[01:27:29]

That I'm wearing pants. That's a dang, it says Hayden. You're not wrong. Could be a big kill. Zaka versus Kampf in the face-off shot. Leifs behind the net. Edmondson around and out. There's 15 seconds killed. Every 15 seconds is one eighth. These are the mental gymnastics I do to myself. Bruins, having trouble breaking out.

[01:28:09]

Leifs, dumping it again. 30 seconds in. We're 25% done here. Swayman, Oh, oh, Mitch! Mitch! Swayman left it. Oh. Even Mitch seems surprised to get the buck there. Swayman left the buck in his feet, and the Leaps have now killed. Fifty seconds. The Bruins still have a minute 10 to work here. Oh, I don't even think Mitch knew what he had.

[01:28:41]

Good on him for hunting.

[01:28:43]

Brazo. High and wide.

[01:28:48]

Pasta. Zaka. Into the corner. Jvr behind the net. Pasta. Jvr. Holmberg knocks down.

[01:28:57]

Brazo.

[01:28:59]

He was having a tough in front.

[01:29:00]

Mcavoy being chased well.

[01:29:03]

Leifs doing a good job, pressure in the point. Brazo leaves the front of the net and goes for a change. He was getting hammered back there. De Brusque on.

[01:29:15]

Oh, good block of the pass from Labushkin and Benwa with the clear. 20 seconds to go.

[01:29:23]

Elite says, Ex-Leaf fan. Let's go, Bruins.

[01:29:25]

I hope you write that.

[01:29:27]

De Brusque, probably one last rush here for the Bruins on this power play.

[01:29:34]

Leaps clear it. Great kill. Five, four, three, two, one.

[01:29:40]

And the Leaps survive. They still have three defensemen on the ice right now, though. That's a bit of a problem. Matthews and Marshan collide. Bruin's with it at the point.

[01:29:54]

Carlo, where is it? Side of the net. Edmondson gets it. Don't Domi out with it.

[01:30:00]

It's Domi. It's Matthews.

[01:30:02]

Lilligran finally changing.

[01:30:04]

Domi and Matthews, heavily outnumbered.

[01:30:06]

Can they hold onto the buck? Domi falls down. Penalty on the Bruins. Charlie Coyle go into the box, and he doesn't like it at all. 15:24 to go in the second.

[01:30:19]

Salty says, Just turned 30, and I need this.

[01:30:22]

I didn't just turn 30. I turned it quite a while ago, and I need this.

[01:30:27]

How confident are you with Sammie in front the net. He's been in front of everything so far. I have a friend from Salt Lake City who wanted an NHL team real bad. They're excited. What do you think the name will be? I want it to be the Yetis real bad. Let's get a look at this penalty here.

[01:30:47]

I mean, he hits Domi with a cross-check. They have been calling that in this series. I'm a little surprised it was called, but that is similar to calls. Yeah, it's similar to calls that have been made in this series. Matthews on, Tavares with a rebound. Doesn't get past Swayman.

[01:31:11]

Reilly, Matthews, Oh, Domi robbed. Oh, Reilly misses the puck there. Leaps lose the zone.

[01:31:27]

Yeah, Carlos stopped that goal.

[01:31:29]

You're right, Drew. Straight up robbed. I loved how Craig Simpson said it very casually. I think Carlos stopped a goal. He did. Tavares gains the entry. Matthew is just in full forecheck mode.

[01:31:45]

Willy gets to it first.

[01:31:50]

He doesn't get to it with possession, though. O'reilly, good keep, though, at the Leifs' D-blue line. Marner, Willey, entry with a little bit of space here. Yeah, Bruin's really hard on the buck, though.

[01:32:02]

And here comes Marshan, puts it way wide. Leaps attacking with speed. Domi with a little move. Three on two, four on two, shot. Stopped by Swayman as Yarn Croke goes into him, and the Bruins will gladly punch him in the face.

[01:32:28]

Ty Smith, that penalty was game management.

[01:32:35]

Regular season, no.

[01:32:37]

Regular season, it's a penalty.

[01:32:39]

Game seven, yeah.

[01:32:42]

Tim Peel was caught on a hot mic saying he was looking to give a penalty to Nashville in a game, I think between the Preds and the Red Wings.

[01:32:50]

They were absolutely looking to give the Bruins one there, and there may not be a penalty for the rest of the game.

[01:32:57]

That's what I think is happening right now. Shots are 13 13, 13, 14, 08 to go in the second period, 45 seconds to go in this leaves power play. Domi wins the face off. Niz and Bertuzzi go to the net. Jake McCabe is out there. He passes to Cal Yarncroke, who rips it on.

[01:33:12]

That might have hit the bar.

[01:33:14]

I got to turn up the volume so I can hear it. Bruins clear it. Leaps 0 for three on their power play in game 6, a game that they somehow won. Domi, Bert.

[01:33:33]

Nice.

[01:33:34]

Has it to the point.

[01:33:36]

Shot from a cave. Gloved rebound. It's in the corner.

[01:33:42]

Watch the point, boys. Watch the point. Watch the point. Watch the point. Nice. From M'Kabe.

[01:33:48]

Bert. On, off the post. In front. Domi behind the net. Watch the point, boys. You're in croke. Rebound again. Nice in the corner. Five shots on that power play. Mccabe. Reilly. Burt. Reilly. Stopped. Rebound. Behind the net. Bruins finally cleared. I think this will be ice, though, for an exhausted Bruins group. 12:59 to go in the second. Leaps take the advantage in shots. Everyone's going to be exhausted on the Bruins there, and that will include their goal tender.

[01:34:29]

Producer Drew says, Here comes the swayment equipment issue. Bet the farm. I don't know if my mask is on.

[01:34:38]

So McAvoy just hit Domi with a harder cross-check than Coil did.

[01:34:44]

I don't even feel bad about it. I don't even feel bad about it.

[01:34:52]

Face off.

[01:34:57]

Coil taking on Who do Leifs have out there? Willy Marner. Is that Tavares or Matthews? It's Matthews.

[01:35:07]

Leifs. Reilly holds the line. Good job. Matthews hunting.

[01:35:11]

Bruins.

[01:35:12]

Lilligran holds the line. High stick from the Bruins, but it gets it out of the zone.

[01:35:20]

Leifs. Dump it in. Neylander given chase. Bruins trying to open up the ice a little bit here. Mitch. Matthews, to the point, Reilly finds Lilligren. Leaps have all their offensive weapons out there for this shift. Willy, Good battle. He just didn't have support. Lilligren chasing after this puck. Reilly is going to join him. Zaka's got legs. Swayman knocking Domi stick away. Naughty, naughty, naughty. He tried to hit him in the balls is what he tried to do. As the Leifs ice the puck, and Gregor is arguing with it right now. Every like is another goal for the Bruins. How dare you? That's not true.

[01:36:10]

That's not true. You don't say that. Yeah, all the Bruins tipped that. That's not icing at all.

[01:36:29]

So is this coming back or are we going to get a commercial break instead? Looks like a commercial break. Commercial break, commercial break. Well, good. It's a commercial break for us.

[01:36:45]

And I can tell you about Neutral Vodka Soda.

[01:36:52]

That's who this watchalong is brought to you by. Neutral Vodka Soda is now available in lime-tall cans at the LC video. Vodka, soda, lime, made with just three ingredients.

[01:37:05]

Trois.

[01:37:07]

Neutral contains zero grams of sugar, zero grams of carbs, and certainly zero chance of game management. It was a good call.

[01:37:17]

Neutral, refreshingly simple.

[01:37:20]

It was a good call.

[01:37:24]

I wanted the leaves to score there.

[01:37:29]

As a leaf fan I wanted the Lefs to score there. The content creator in me is like, If the leaves score there, that's going to be a big narrative, and it's not going to be fun. Still wanted the leaves to score there. Just like I wouldn't mind a neutral vodka soda right now. Would not mind it.

[01:37:57]

Everyone feeling good? Everyone stretching? It's important to both sides, both sides. Hips, hip flexors. Squeeze that butt, squeeze those glutes, squeeze, squeeze, squeeze, squeeze, Feeling good?

[01:38:17]

I know my trainer is watching. Shout out Chad. He's going to be very proud that I did that.

[01:38:23]

I did pelvic tilt during that little time out.

[01:38:27]

What else did I do? I did something else.

[01:38:30]

Oh, I did Bird Dog.

[01:38:32]

Or no, what's it called?

[01:38:33]

The one where you put up, you're on your hands and knees and you put up one leg and you go like that with your arm. I did that one. Five per side.

[01:38:45]

Face off at center ice. Leaps win it back. Twelve minutes to go in the second period. How is this game not half over?

[01:38:54]

Tom is keep him not reading that, bud.

[01:38:57]

Also, how are you doing? It's my Easter I'm not reading that, buddy. It's a Utah name suggestion.

[01:39:10]

I'm not saying it's a bad one.

[01:39:11]

I'm just not reading it.

[01:39:15]

Maroon can't handle it, and that'll be icing. Leaps big guns going to come out against the fourth line of the Bruins, 11:30 to go in the second period.

[01:39:28]

Look, Chad, Chad, Chad, this water. Hydrating. Hydrating. As a deactivated Yotes fan, go Matthews and go Leaps, go. Hell, yeah. Good? Good? I'm going to need a professional intervention. My shoulders are so tight. Mine, too. Naturally, that's just how I always am, although I'm getting better at it. Thanks to Chad. Infinite fitness on Instagram.

[01:40:00]

Get the camera out of the corner. I can't see what's happening.

[01:40:06]

Leaps to centerize. They're going two on three here. Matthews and Holmberg.

[01:40:11]

Yeah. Get to it. Oh, Matthews just crushed by McAvoy. And then hit with a decent cross-check.

[01:40:20]

But we're done calling those because it's even. Yarn Croke.

[01:40:26]

Into the corner for Matthews.

[01:40:27]

It goes over his stick. Battling with Laura Why? Holmberg in for support. Matthews.

[01:40:34]

To the corner. Benoît. Finds Stovaris.

[01:40:40]

Matthews, look at a change. Boy, he's changing slowly. He looked uncomfortable.

[01:40:45]

Benoît steps into his man, helps the least hold the zone.

[01:40:49]

And the Bruins get it out. Mccabe will get to it, luckily, before Brazo, who also doesn't totally look comfortable. Leaves, four checking well. Leaps are doing some good things. The sustained pressure is hard to come by. Pasta going one on everyone.

[01:41:17]

Bruins, very near a too many men. Move. A penalty coming up against Toronto. And that'll be a hook, I believe, on Pasta. He was challenged by Jim Montgomery to come up with special plays in special moments, and he draws a call here. Oh, boy.

[01:41:41]

Yeah, Jim Montgomery all smiles. Why wouldn't he be? Boy, I thought that was real close to Too Many Men for the Bruins. Penalty comes before it, though.

[01:41:52]

Jbr wasn't fully off the ice for Geeky, but they're not calling that.

[01:42:01]

Jono says, A physical trainer named Chad is fitting. Go, Leaps. Dude, he's the best, man. Saved my back. Really has. Oh. Dude, I sit for these streams, and I have a newborn. My shoulders are rolled forward. I got to fix that. I got to fix it. Got to breathe. We got to breathe.

[01:42:55]

Another big leaves penalty kill coming up.

[01:42:57]

I didn't see who it was who took the penalty. I'm too out of my mind right now. 12,000 people here in the chat. Can't hope but notice when the leaves take a penalty, it goes up.

[01:43:14]

Thanks.

[01:43:16]

Click like, click subscribe, tell all your friends, and become a member. Become an SDP VIP. It would be appreciated. Okay. Matthew Nies, off for hooking.

[01:43:31]

We're moving.

[01:43:32]

Body squats.

[01:43:35]

Oh, man, that's 100% too many men.

[01:43:44]

You have to prove who's switching for who. That's a disaster, says producer Drew. He's not wrong.

[01:43:51]

Okay, so now the lead fan in me is like, Please kill this.

[01:43:56]

The content creator in me is like, Please kill this.

[01:43:59]

Both saw it.

[01:44:03]

Jake McCabe, high stick to the visor.

[01:44:05]

I saw it move. Edmondson, out. Fifteen seconds gone.

[01:44:15]

One eighth of the penalty killed. Marner chasing McAvoy. Here comes Zaka. Bruins dangerously close to setting up here.

[01:44:31]

Leaps can't clear it. Marshan, to the side. Stop by Samsonov.

[01:44:38]

First real chance the Bruins have had on him in a while. 9:18 to go in the second period, a buck 24. To go in this power play. Oh, my gosh. Joel Edmondson almost gifted Pavel Zaka a bouncing puck. Shots 18, 14 for the Leaps. Who's that taking the face off for the Leaps? I believe that's Calleigh Yarn Croke. Against Brad Marshan, Yarncroke cleans him out. But the Bruins forecheck hard. Two on two, digging it in the corner. Labushkin doing his best to kill the clock here. Puck moves a little bit. Buck 10 to go in the power play.

[01:45:36]

Bruins come out with it. Bang. No. Fake. Mcavoy, picked off from Yarn Croke who dumps it.

[01:45:43]

Under a minute to go in this power play. Mcavoy probably wishing he shot it there. Maybe next time he will. Hopefully, there won't be a next time. David Pasternac, can't gain the zone. This is It's going to be a breakaway for Connor Duhre!

[01:46:01]

Connor Duhre! Stopped by Swayman. Bruins coming back the other way with speed. Marshan batted away. And they're going to call that a... Yeah, it was a hand pass. That play continued for a bit. I don't think they heard the whistle.

[01:46:28]

Duhre flubbed the fuck at the last minute there. Yeah, producer Drew in my ear saying, I can't believe McAvoy didn't shoot that. If that was a leaf, I would have lost it. Well, maybe. First career game seven for Connor Duhre. One assist in the series. I'm interested to see what the Leaps do with him going forward. Like, he's joining the leafs midseason. He's a young guy. He had a good season with Minnesota. We'll see what he can do. 30 seconds to go in this kill. Marner, he's just going to hold onto it, slap it down. 25 seconds to go in this kill. Coki says, not going to lie, true living, cooked in the trade deadline. Don't congratulate him yet.

[01:47:14]

Leaps Pick it off.

[01:47:17]

Bruins, gain the zone, but not with speed. Coyle, Shattenkirke, five seconds.

[01:47:27]

Jbr, around. Bruins decoyle. Penalty is killed, but the Bruins, here they come. Kempf. Oh, break away for Matthew Nies. He's taking down my Shattenkirke. Penalty shot. Penalty shot! Penalty shot! The ref points to center ice. Swayman crashes, or Nies crashes into Swayman, and the refs are talking about it. Is this going to be a penalty shot or a penalty or nothing? You never know these days, dude. He didn't fall down on his own. Oh, Shatten Kerk goes puck. Yeah, puck first, but that's not the rule anymore, right, Drew? It's puck first and then stick into the feet. It's not like you can do puck first and then whatever you want, afterward, which I suppose used to be the rule, which is dumb.

[01:48:33]

7:43 to go in the second. What is happening? What is...

[01:48:37]

Nijs is sitting on the bench. They're not calling anything. The ref pointed the center. He pointed emphatically. Lilligran in the corner for the Leaps. Offensive zone. Leaps can't hold the zone there. Unbelievable. He called a penalty shot. Off the glass. I'd love to know who called that, and I'd love to know who called it back. These things just follow the Leaps around in game sevens are in deciding games.

[01:49:17]

Jeez, the Justin Hall one, 2022, the Morgan-Reilly goal that was definitely a goal that you can't prove as a goal in game five against Florida last year.

[01:49:28]

Man, he pointed, right?

[01:49:32]

Alex is robbed, absolutely robbed.

[01:49:35]

I mean, they definitely reversed a call. Whether or not they got it right is up to you.

[01:49:42]

Well, I suppose it's not. It's up to the refs. Tavares wins a draw. Reilly dumps it into the corner.

[01:49:48]

Willy, good forecheck. He might come up with it here. It was in his feet. Uh-oh, Labushkin pinches. Thank goodness. He came up with a point. Willy, in front. Rebound, it's in the corner. Taver is being held. Bruins still with it behind their net. Willy, forechecking, goes down again. Under seven minutes to go in the second. Shots, 1914, 2014 for the Leaps.

[01:50:14]

It updated, as I said it. Lynn Home.

[01:50:18]

Behind the net. Nice. Chase it. Go get another penalty shot. Bruins.

[01:50:27]

Pass to Pasterknack, has flubbed.

[01:50:29]

They Lose the zone to keep the puck.

[01:50:31]

6:30 to go in the second period.

[01:50:37]

Labushkin, behind the net. Marshan and Dupruss take it off them. They two on one them. Not enough support there. Bertuzzi at the point. Trying to take it off McAvoy doesn't work. Coyle being hounded by Reilly, flicks it around.

[01:50:49]

Domi in there for support.

[01:50:53]

Where's the puck?

[01:50:54]

Samy lost track of it for a second there.

[01:50:55]

Marshan with it, puts it on, blocked. Mcavoy stops up. Lorai, wide, out. Wow, wow, wow, wow, wow.

[01:51:09]

5:50 to go in the second. Benoît against Brazo in the corner.

[01:51:19]

He drives the net. Matthews clears it and just gets it over the blue line.

[01:51:25]

Lindhome. I think the Bruins are offside right now. They're not calling it. Trent Frederick. He might have been over the plane. I always forget the new rule. Benoît gains the red.

[01:51:39]

Frederick didn't like that at all.

[01:51:42]

5:20 to go in the second period. Where's the puck? Along the half wall there. Hohlenberg gets it out of the leafs zone. Frederick with it. Long shift for him. Samsonov gloves it, and it'll be a D zone draw. Magel says, Refs when there's a stick in the skate. Sarah says, My heart rate is 111 beats per minute. Hype the game, bro. Canada needs to believe. I'm believing. I'm believing right now. Oh, my goodness. I am losing my mind. The Leaps are plus 120.

[01:53:16]

The Leaps are plus 120. Bruins are minus 150. All the Bruins fans, SDP and VIPs telling you to cry when there's a missed call is the funniest thing ever. Can't believe no penalty, says Blake Sim. I can believe there's no penalty.

[01:53:46]

He pointed penalty shot. He pointed 13,300 in the chat. Hello. What you guys doing?

[01:54:03]

Hey, the tax to watch the stream is click like. Click like, click subscribe. Tell all your friends. I think that's really funny that Jeremy Swayman patted Matthew Nis. He's so nice. Leaps win the, I believe that's a D zone draw, up the ice.

[01:54:31]

Gregor giving chase. He gets it. Almost for David Kempf. Duhre with it. Some legs on this line. Kempf hustling. He's been Great. Benoît, half-wall. Bruin's letting him have the puck, see?

[01:54:51]

Now you can't unsee it.

[01:54:52]

Duhre wrapping up his man. Don't get called there, Connor.

[01:54:57]

Bruin's break it out. Rather They're dumping it out. Now they're coming in with it.

[01:55:03]

Maroon catches Benoît flat-footed.

[01:55:06]

Boquist taken out just enough by Gregor.

[01:55:10]

Down the ice. Domi stops up. He's waiting for reinforcements to hop over the boards, which they do. And he finds them, and they shoot high and wide. Labushkin just holds the line. Where is it? Bertuzzi. Marner. Oh, he almost found Bert. That would have fooled everybody.

[01:55:30]

I thought he was taking it around the net.

[01:55:32]

Coyle loses his stick momentarily. Can the leaves take advantage? Marner. What a pass to Reilly. Shoots. Stop by the elbow of Swayman.

[01:55:39]

Bertuzzi.

[01:55:42]

Up to Mitch. Bit of a bouncing puck. He handles it. In front. Tipped. Wide. Labushkin.

[01:55:48]

Way into the corner. Mind your Ps and Qs here, boys.

[01:55:54]

Reilly.

[01:55:55]

Mitch on the point. He's attacking now. Domi. Reilly.

[01:56:03]

Labushkin swaps off for Lilligran. Marner finds Reilly again. Reilly. Shot blocked. Takes the fuck off of Carlo. Oh, boy. Bruins almost with a break. They're now attacking with speed, at least. Dabrush is. The Bruins ended up going for a change. But here they are. Lower rise. Shut. Stop by the glove of Sammie. Behind the net. On. Tipped. Sammie with the stop. Get that out, boys. They do. Will it be ice? No.

[01:56:35]

Mcavoy with it. Under three minutes to go in the second.

[01:56:39]

Here comes pasta. Oh, across.

[01:56:42]

Geeky wasn't attacking. Not the net, anyway.

[01:56:46]

Mcavoy walks the line. That'll go up and out of play.

[01:56:54]

Mitch Fish says the ref was pointing to a face-off location. I've never seen someone emphatically...

[01:57:02]

Yeah, even Drew doesn't buy that one.

[01:57:05]

I miss Campf from a Blackhawks fan. Dude, he's been good when he's with the right line mates. Thoughts on the wish of Leifs picking up for Soi? He is technically available.

[01:57:15]

I'm open to it.

[01:57:18]

That's an off-season question. We're not there. So I actually think he was doing a pushing motion, not pointing to center ice. He's saying he got pushed, so no goalie interference. With one hand? I'd have to see it again. I don't think so. Matthews with a D zone draw here. I don't think he's... I don't know if he's had any of those in this game. Benoît finds McCabe. Oh, that's not McCabe. That's Holmberg, sorry. His number starts with two, and he's left-handed. That was close.

[01:57:52]

Benoît up the ice. Can't find Matthews. Bruins partial three on two here. Shot wide.

[01:57:59]

Bruins missing the net a lot. Leifs clear it. No ice. Leifs have gotten pretty lucky a few times.

[01:58:11]

Lorai moves, gets hit off balance. By Benoît. Oh, my goodness. Centered in the least airmail it. Bruin's playing real fast and loose there with their line changes.

[01:58:27]

Pasta. Into the glove of Benoît. That's a clever little play there from Pasta. It ends up working out, and here he is with the puck.

[01:58:36]

Kempf chasing him. Oh, he drives the net. Stop by Sammie. Kempf. Oh. Bruin and Benoît collide.

[01:58:44]

Leaps need a change. Duhre and Kempf. Gregor's out there. Lilligren has a chance to turn it around here, gets it into the Ozone, at the very least, and it goes play. I could tell because of all the fans that jumped.

[01:59:12]

Wake it up. Wake it up. Wake up. Wake up. Make up. Shake up.

[01:59:30]

116 to go in the second period. Why are you watching the stream? You wanted to. Max Domi loses the Ozone draw, Bruins with it behind their net, and they'll break it out to Beacher. He's got legs. He's got legs. Tried to beat Lilligran wide, didn't quite work. Edmondson has De Brusque behind the net. He walks him almost all the way to the point. Lilligran Staples coil. Get that puck, Tim. And they'll blow this play dead. They had a Bruin lying down in the puck, and I believe this will just be a D-zone draw? 48.1 seconds to go in the second period. Eplant says, Bruins, they're my cousin's team, are the only family team left other than the Caps and Devils, but I'd still like the leaves to win. That's because I am your family. Got a big feeling this game is going to OT, says Marcus. Dude, my heart. We'll go on. Zaka. Taking the Ozone draw for the Bruins against John Tavares. Zaka kicked out of the draw. Are they going with Marshan or pasta? They're going with pasta. Interesting. I think they want Marshan's left-handed shot there, and he gets a puck, and he tries to shoot it, but it goes up and out.

[02:01:11]

Off a stick and out. Michael, I don't think you trust. System of a down. Thank you. Thank you. Leaps, come up with the puck off the glass. Neilander doesn't know where it is. It's in the sky. Bruins, come up with it. Under a minute to go in the second period. Well under a minute, actually. 33 seconds. Zaka attacking. Reilly gets it behind the net. Oh, boy, the Leaps are going to ice it here. No bueno. Exactly 22 seconds to go in the second. Paul Douglas says, This game shows why camp has paid so much. It's still a wild contract, but man, he's a useful player. I like Reeves on the team. I like camp on the team. They don't complement each other at all. Tavares, to take the draw. Who's he got to take? Bruin is having a long discussion here before the face-off. It's Charlie Coyle. He's got a beat in the face-off. Pasta out there, Marshand out there, Lindhome out there, McAvoy out there. It's basically all the Bruins' top weapons. And the Lefs come out with it. Tavares will shovel it out. Twelve seconds to go in the second. 10. Mcavoy debating what to do with it.

[02:02:42]

This will just go into the corner, and we will head.

[02:02:45]

Oh, icing against the Bruins.

[02:02:50]

Do you pull Sammie?

[02:02:53]

1.6 seconds to go in the second period. Do you pull...

[02:02:58]

No, there's no shot. No shot. No No way. Just shut up.

[02:03:01]

No way. Zero chance. Are they joking about it on the broad? They are.

[02:03:11]

That's hilarious. Yeah, no chance. Neelander taking the draw, right-handed. I think they're going to try to find Matthews here. He got to win it clean and shoot.

[02:03:22]

Oh, it almost worked. It almost worked.

[02:03:27]

Swayman had to glove it. I don't know if that'll count as a shot on But the score is zero to zero after two periods here in game seven in Boston between the Leifs and Bruins. I am Steve Dangle here on the SDPN YouTube channel. Click like, click subscribe, tell all your friends from Coozzie Can't Stop. This is the first live I've been able to join. This is amazing, way more interesting than the regular commentary. Bruin's in OT.

[02:04:02]

Okay, you had me.

[02:04:03]

I liked it until you said that. Utah Futa is my pick. You think they're going to hire Mike Futa? Former LA King's Assistant GM and I believe current Sportsnet employee. Can we get an ASMR whisper, Go, Leaves, go? Go, Leaves, Go.

[02:04:32]

Go, Lease, go.

[02:04:33]

Go, Lease, go. Weird.

[02:04:36]

I don't like it. Nick Wilson, if there was only one Canadian team left in the playoff, would Canada rally behind them or would a rival Thevailries take over? Go back and look at any time a Canadian team has gone to the final.

[02:04:53]

Lees got to have the best speech they've ever had.

[02:04:56]

I would like that. Win or lose here. It Is there anyone acquired from around the trade deadline you keep? Connor Duhre, but he's an RFA, so I guess he doesn't count. One of Joel Edmondson or Elia Labushkin. Reilly just seems really comfortable with Labushkin. And they didn't really acquire anyone up front. Tiebreaker to Bush, right-handed shot, plays with Reilly. And I'm a rangers fan, but I still love your videos. That is from Liam. Thank you. Last one, Steve. Video essay or book idea. I've always been curious about the history of a Ballard era and how it affected the current fan base's psyche. I actually wrote a book report on... Not a book report. It was something about Harold Ballard in Grade 3, and I had to ask my parents why it was insulting to call someone a frog, because apparently, Harold Ballard did that. I didn't know. I was in Grade 3. You like OT? Because here comes three of them, says Wesley Novak. No. And spicy conspiracy says, Go leaves, go.

[02:06:16]

Drew, do we have a clip?

[02:06:20]

I need a break, and you all better be back for the third period. We got an eight-minute clip on PLD because the LA Kings are knocked out. Last one before we go to that clip from Kim Watson. Will they fire a leaf if the leaves lose tonight? Yes, I think so. Let's go to that clip about PLD. From the Steve Dangle podcast.

[02:06:49]

A PLD buyout spans 14 years and has a cost of $15 million, but a savings of 31.667 million. Dubois is 25 years of age at the time of this potential buyout. Therefore, the ratio would only be one-third.

[02:07:06]

So can I give the info on the minutia that's going on with the one-third buyout? Hit me up. Pld on June 24th turns 26 years old. If they were to do the buyout June 24th post through June 30th, where the buyout window is, the buyout would actually be two-thirds. If they want a one-thirds buyout, the buyout would have to take place before his birthday. I was listening to 32 thoughts this morning. They had some great info on this. One thing that they pointed out is that the buyout window does not open until the Stanley Cup playoffs are over. The last date that game seven of the Stanley Cup playoffs could be is the day of his birthday. If the Stanley Cup playoffs go to game seven of the final round of the Stanley Cup, they cannot do a one-third buyout because the buyout window will not have opened. If the Stanley Cup playoffs end before his birthday, then they have the option of the one-third buyout.

[02:08:13]

This could be one of the-Shout out Elia and Jeff for doing some great-That's some good digging. I want to throw this out there. This player's career is already one of the more interesting that I can remember.

[02:08:24]

Well, he was drafted third overall, having switched positions midseason. Remember that? Yeah. He had played center in the queue for half a season, and everyone's like, You are out of your frigging minds. Jesse Pauillard, he was really highly rated at the time. They passed on him. That hasn't worked out great. Who else they passed on? And by they, I mean the Columbus Blue Jackets.

[02:08:49]

Matthew Kachuk.

[02:08:51]

That could have changed the Columbus fortunes forever.

[02:08:57]

And dude, we're talking about a guy who a team Picks you third overall, they're investing in you automatically. They picked you third overall. And he dogged his way off of that team. He requested a trade, which is fine, but he quit on them.

[02:09:13]

Can we do the numbers on the buyouts?

[02:09:15]

Please, I would like to add that.

[02:09:17]

So the one third buyout, if the LA Kings choose to buy out PLD, which would be a crazy thing to do because the buyout is going to go through 2038.

[02:09:29]

Ron Blake's fired.

[02:09:30]

It's double the years that are left on the contract, so 2038. Throughout that deal, they're going to have a cap at $27 million over those years. It averages, it's not bad. It's manageable. It's 1.6, 1.5, 2.5, 3.7, 3.8, 3.8, 2.8, and then 1.1 through the rest of those years, which would be about six years left. Then if they do the buyout after his birthday, so San Diego final goes to game seven, it'll be a You can see that the cap hit is a lot more through those years starting in '24, '25. It's 2.7, then 2.6, then 3.6, then 4.9, 4.9, 4.9, 3.9, and then 2.2 through 2031 through 2038. One last thing with the contract, a no movement clause kicks in at the next calendar season.

[02:10:22]

Okay, so 2025 in the '06.

[02:10:24]

They have an option here to trade them now if they really wanted to do it. They can't. Because the no move clause kicks in for next season. So 24, 25. Next season, he has a no move clause. But right now, he does not.

[02:10:39]

You can't trade him. You can't trade him. You can't trade him. You can't trade him. You have till July first. You have to find somebody to play double retention with. Because there's a lot of teams out there, I'm sure they would take a chance on them. Maybe, yeah, maybe. Actually, maybe you do take a chance on PLD at 4.25. If you do 50% retention, I'm sure there's plenty of teams that would take that chance. But I look at this and I think, whatever this is, this hasn't worked. I look at this specifically as it pertains to Mark Bergeman. And I started this segment saying, Maybe I'm biased. It's not about Pierre-Luc Dubois. I remember in 2021, when we were at the draft in Montreal, Pierre-Luc Dubois joined his agent there, not because he wanted to go and congratulate players, but because he was almost certain- He was going to Montreal. That he was going to Montreal. Whatever deal was in place fell through, and he was there. And I bet you, Montreal had a good pick in that draft. He would have been up there with him. They had the first overall pick. He would have been up there with him.

[02:11:41]

Hey, your eyes love, Kowski, come on down. And So anyway, here's a great situation. You end up in Los Angeles after you tried to get out of Winnipeg for a couple of years, after you tried to get out of Columbus for a couple of years. And now you finally got everything you wanted. You get to be in a sunny place. It's Los Angeles. What a great place to live. It's a great team. A great team. It's sunny all the time. You can ski, you can swim in the same day. It's just that California, for all the crap that California takes, is an amazing place to live. Of course it is. And there's a reason why everybody wants to live there. It's amazing. And he gets to go and be there. And I'm sorry, you changed coaches midway through the season. It changes nothing. This player had better figured it out. And for the LA Kings, I don't know how you... First off, they got to be seriously considered buying him out. But my question is, who's the guy that hired Mark Berjivan? They didn't have to do that because I'm almost a thousand % that Mark Berjivan was the biggest guy going, Get Pierre-Luc Dubosc.

[02:12:49]

No, Rob Blake should lose his job because there's no reason you had to give PLD eight years when you're just trading for that asset from Winnipeg. It made no sense.

[02:12:56]

Well, dude, Gabe Velarde had more goals than him. That one I'm right about. Velarde had 22, and he had better points per game. The only reason he didn't have more points than Dubois, he only played 47 games.

[02:13:09]

Dubois is not even the best player in the Dubois deal.

[02:13:14]

Dude, there's It's horrible. We should wake up in a couple of weeks, and Rob Blake should definitely be fired.

[02:13:20]

Couple of weeks? This show is going to be out of date by the time it goes up.

[02:13:24]

There's potential movement here. I don't think the only way for Dubois to get out of LA I don't think the only way for Dubois to get out of LA is a buyout. You want to hear a real fun one? This isn't going to happen, but imagine they... So, Jessie, does he have any trade protection right now?

[02:13:45]

No. No. Right now, it's the same situation that Mitch Marner was in last offseason. From today until July first, well, I guess, June 30th at 11:59 PM Eastern Time, you can trade PLD to whoever you want. Then once that new calendar season kicks in, you can no longer trade him without his permission.

[02:14:07]

There's no way this happens, but how funny would a PLD for Johnny Goudreau trade to Columbus?

[02:14:15]

They sent them back. No. They sent them back.

[02:14:19]

Why would Columbus do it? No, they wouldn't.

[02:14:22]

Do you hear what you just said?

[02:14:23]

Why would Columbus do it?

[02:14:25]

That's how far Pierre-Luc Dubois has fallen. Why Why would Columbus take him back? Columbus frigging sucks.

[02:14:37]

And they wouldn't even take this guy back? What happened?

[02:14:42]

This guy was a killer.

[02:14:44]

Money in the bank, 25, 30 goals a year. He's going to German suplex your star center in every playoff series. He's going to hit everybody.

[02:14:54]

He's going to beat the shit out of you.

[02:14:58]

What happened?

[02:14:59]

He was great in Winnipeg in the playoff.

[02:15:02]

And he's got only himself to blame. Yeah.

[02:15:04]

Only himself. Yeah. I can't put it anywhere else.

[02:15:14]

What you guys want to talk about. Steve Dangle here on the SDPN YouTube channel. Click like, click subscribe. Tell all your friends, you know what I'm going to do? You know what I'm going to do? I'm going to tweet. Third period. Third period. Last game of the playoffs, two. That did it, dude. From Michal... Sorry, Michal Hébert. As a Habs fan, I am enjoying this lose-lose situation between Boston and Toronto. Jokes aside, you are doing a great job, Steve. Wish you the best. You You know what? I'll take it. Merci beaucoup. Edmondson is a stay-at-home D and picks the moment, just like the pasta hit tonight. Edmondson is better than Bush, but that question sucks. Keep both and add another. Interesting. How many overtimes do you think will get this game? Five or six? I tell you what, it can go seven overtimes, but they better win.

[02:16:26]

I'll be real sad if they don't.

[02:16:29]

Sj Hockey, devil's fan here. That is not what I thought based on your name. Devil's fan here. Your podcast helped me rebound from awful mental health in the 2010s. I remember discovering you as a great host or a guest host, sorry. Freudian. From me on Marek versus Wyshinsky. And I've enjoyed your content ever since. Man, that was years ago. So happy to see what you have built. That is a beautiful thing to say. Thank you. When we win this game, this is from Hank, Are you confident playing Florida in round two? Not really, man. Florida is really good. Really, really good. And they disposed of Tampa way too easily. Way too easily.

[02:17:17]

But who cares?

[02:17:18]

Get there. Dumber things have happened.

[02:17:21]

Get there.

[02:17:22]

It's a Stanley Cup playoff. Get there. That's all you got to do. Get there. Neither team has scored yet tonight. No matter what happens in this third period, that has to change. Someone's going to score. Someone's going to score. The series will be done, and one team will move on. One team is probably going to go hamster Huey in the GUI KABLUI. Who's going to be who?

[02:18:00]

Salazar, are you in?

[02:18:07]

Yes. Thank you for asking. That was very, very you. From Coki, Some words on Bob Cole, RIP to the legend. Yeah, I really wish I had more time during this past week to talk about him. I mean, I rarely get the opportunity to say this when someone passes. We're all going to go. One day, we're all going to go. We don't know how, we don't know when. What will be left of us is how people remember us and how people feel. You ever heard a bad word about Bob Cole? Everyone loved the guy. He touched so many lives. He created so many magical moments. And whether you know it or not, he's a big part of the reason you're here right now in this moment watching a hockey game with a bunch of people. You're all enjoying it together because you all, separately in your own lives, wherever you are, enjoyed Bob Cole's magic. It's commentary, right? So he can only talk about what's happening. It's difficult to jazz up a zero, zero draw, and I'm sure he had to call some of those. But you cook a delicious meal, overtime winner, all that stuff, delicious save, and he just puts that little on it.

[02:19:52]

That's something that makes it memorable. That's what Bob Cole did. And he did it until they kicked him out of the booth.

[02:19:59]

He was going to keep going.

[02:20:04]

He was in his '80s, '80s, flying in from Newfoundland and doing the call. What a blessed life, and how blessed we were to take it all in. From Prime Killer, If it's an all-Canadian final, who do you want, Vancouver or Edmonton?

[02:20:31]

I don't think the country would survive either.

[02:20:37]

Edmonton is the sexier pick. Vancouver, there's a slight chance we get Michael Buble on the stream. So maybe I go with Vancouver on that one. If you could pick one song by Florence and the Machine to play for the Leaps before they leave the locker room for the third, what would it be? Seven Devils All Around You. Seven Devils in your house. See, I was dead when I woke up this morning.

[02:21:09]

I'll be dead before the day is done.

[02:21:12]

Is there a metal version of that song? I know the game sampled it on Ali Bommay. That's actually how I discovered the song. I discovered the game sampling it. I'm like, What is that sample in that song? And I found out it's Florence and the Machine. And then I discovered that album, and it's freaking great. This Donnie says, Matthew's game winner, Book It. Oh, God, I would love that. Abs fan. Abs fan. Sad. I didn't get to see producer Drew reprise his sweeping bit wearing a top hat for this round. Were you wearing a top hat when the Abs won? I don't remember that. Steve, he was dancing with a broom, not a top hat. Steve, goal score prediction for the Leaps.

[02:21:56]

Willy's been hunting.

[02:21:58]

I'm going to say Willy. Hey, Steve. Habs fan here. Have been for years. Love the content and the streams have been awesome. Never thought I'd be cheering for the Lefs, but I'm on the edge of my seat, yelling out loud. Wow. Broken up with. Need a Lefs win to help you heal. You are loved no matter what. And Lord of War says, Let's go, flames.

[02:22:19]

This isn't the time because the third period has begun.

[02:22:23]

Puck is on the ice. Zaka to Geeky. Bruin is attacking with speed. Geeky taken down. Nice. One on one. Not so much anymore. Shoots. Stop by swaying. Leaps, I think, looking for a quick change. Yep, max domey's out there. Sheldon Keef seems real comfortable with the lineup he's assembled.

[02:22:51]

Oh, the Bruins almost get an in zone two on one there.

[02:22:56]

Benoît, he had help on the right, chooses to dump it in instead, and it might work out. Bruins. Domi with it. Shout out from St. John's. Love that. Marner with it. Oh, into the feet of Jake McCabe. Mccabe into the corner from Max Domi. Get out of their linesman. Bertuzzi in there. He comes up with it. Mccabe, Edmondson, Marner, Battle Kid.

[02:23:31]

Oh, what a move from Mitch. Shot. Stopped by Edmondson. Good opportunity. Good move.

[02:23:45]

Mr. Dangle, can you please say who wins in ASMR three times, please? I'm super sticklish. Get it?

[02:23:55]

I don't know what's going on with that. I don't know what's going on with all the emojis.

[02:24:01]

Man, if Joel Edmondson got the first goal of this game. Yeah, we need maximum Domi. You're right. Yeah, producer Drew with a good point. You have Matthews in that spot with Marner. It might be a goal. See, it wasn't a forward, though. It was Joel Edmondson. So I don't think the alignment of the lines made that happen. I think it was just one of those things. That's what I'm I'm going to tell myself so that I am not mad. Bruins dump it. Brazo chasing Edmondson. Lilligren, hands it off to Edmondson. Oh, boy, made Sammie Flinch there. 18:05 to go in the third period. 23 to 18 are the shots for the Leifs. Leifs ringing around the Bruins boards. Leaps can't hold the line there. Duhre, luckily, back in support.

[02:25:00]

Dior.

[02:25:01]

Oh, nice chip in for himself. He goes one on three.

[02:25:07]

Reinforcements arrive. Reilly puts it on. Tipped.

[02:25:10]

Not going fast enough there. Gregor. Reilly is going to go after this as slowly as possible. Not icing. Beecher coming after him. Willy with it. There's my goal pick. Offside, 17, 24 to go in the third Edward Archer gifted five STPN memberships. Let's go. That's something you can do in the bottom right-hand corner of the chat. It's nearly 10:30 Eastern, and there's still nearly a whole period left, at least. That's the quickest this game ends, by the way, is if there's only one period left.

[02:26:03]

Leifs, try to clear the zone.

[02:26:04]

They can't.

[02:26:05]

Here come the Bruins. Pasta, attacking the net. Wide. Tavares, one on two.

[02:26:13]

Gets it to Jake McCabe, who will try to shovel it out. He doesn't. Fooled the cameraman. Now he gets it out, but that's going to be ice. Oh, McAvoy dog that. Oh, Sammie broke up the pass to Pasternak himself. He's not going to be credited with a save there, but that might have been his biggest one of the night. 16:53 to go in the third period. Tavares' D-zone draw against Charlie Coyle. Tavares wins it on his second whack at the McCabe.

[02:27:01]

The leaves do it again. That's the second time in this game they've done that, where they win a D-zone face-off clean and ice it.

[02:27:11]

Oh, that can't happen, man. Edward Archer, found SDP in last play, never missed an episode since, VIP since day one. Let's go. Thanks for everything. Let's go. Win or the lack of goal scoring. Win or win, the lack of goal scoring is concerning. Just win.

[02:27:31]

Don't care. Just win.

[02:27:33]

Tavares doesn't win that one. Sort of. Neylander can't get it out.

[02:27:37]

Marshaend.

[02:27:39]

It's into the corner blockered by Sammie. Nice.

[02:27:42]

Gitty up, kid. Gitty up. Gitty up. Get after that. Get after that. Oh, McAvoy. No. Why to the net?

[02:27:51]

Whistle because the net is off. Austin Rodgers, Steve, When was the last time it was an all-Canadian final? Wasn't that Calgary, Edmonton in I forget what year?

[02:28:09]

Oh, there was...

[02:28:11]

What was it in '86? Or was it Habs? No, maybe it was Habs oilers. I think it might have been Habs oilers. Justin Fisher going to stress drop some gift memberships.

[02:28:29]

Let's go.

[02:28:30]

Matthew, is it the leaves blue line out there with Marner and Bertuzzi for the draw? Marshawn wins the draw. Bruins, dump it in.

[02:28:45]

Edmondson, wow.

[02:28:46]

As if he read the play. It was already there.

[02:28:48]

Bruins, oh, no! Right in front of the net. Leaves, probably fortunate to not get a trip there.

[02:28:56]

Into the corner. Oh, please score here, Leaves. Matthews puts it on Gloved by Swayman. Shout out to Justin Fisher for the 10 SDPN membership gifts. Let's go. Career goals in game seven. Marsha and DeBrusca and pasta, all have three. And for the least, Max Domi has three. I know he got two against Boston. They just said on the broadcast against Carolina in 2022. Habs Flames, 1989 from SJ. That's what I was thinking. What's your heart rate right now? High. Here comes Brazo.

[02:29:40]

Oh, wow. Off of Sammie's shoulder and out. Holy shit. Yeah, producer Drew said some bad words. Who did he dangle the jock off of? That was Morgan Reilly. Eew. Oh, it hits the butt end of Sammie's stick and out.

[02:30:07]

I don't think that was going to hit the net regardless, but now we'll never know.

[02:30:16]

Wow.

[02:30:17]

Six shot attempts for Justin Brazo. He's been all around it tonight. Looks like he's battling something, too. 15:53 to go in this third period. Camp after it. Bruins go offside. 15:46 to go in the third period. You know what? No, my body's feeling good right now. It's feeling good right now. It's flowing so well right now. Face off outside the leave zone. Is this Max Domi to take the draw against Trent Frederick. Max Domi is out there with Calleigh Yarncroke and Pontus Holmberg. I don't think we've seen this combination this game. Domi, airmails it. Bruins just sent it right back. Holmberg chasing after JBR. Battle along the half wall. Lepushkin spins off the check, rings it around the boards. Can the Leaps get it out? They do. Interesting combination of guys. I don't know if I love it. I'm sure Keef had his reasons. Puck around the boards for Morgan Reilly. Chase by Patrick Maru, and he gets it out. No ice because Bertou Niz is on it. Beecher puts it in.

[02:31:57]

Samson off.

[02:31:59]

Patience with the buck. Five minutes gone here in the third. Neylander stumbles, gets the entry anyway, or is it off? No, on-side. Bruin has come up with it, though. Austin Matthews on the ice now. Neylander. Gains the zone with speed. Doesn't have many reinforcements, though. He does have Austin Matthews, though. That's a hell of a We Have A Hulk moment as the leaves wringing around and they'll lose the zone, unfortunately. Mccabe, around for Benoît, who advances it up the ice. Bertuzzi can't get to it first. Bruins, turned back. Man, what a chess match. Listen, I'm sure as a neutral viewer, this sucks. As a leaves or Bruins fan, this is just a heart attack city. Leaves can't clear the zone. Foster puts it on. It's into the corner off a body.

[02:33:03]

Bertuzzi, take him down.

[02:33:08]

Leifs playing keep away with David Posternack here as he goes off. Marner goes off. Benwa goes off. Reilly. Lots of ice for Morgan. Offside. 13:31. To go in the third period. Shots are 24 to 19. In favor of the Leaps. Currently wearing a heart holster? And I can't wait for my doc to ask me what happened to my heart tonight, but totally worth it. That's like, I think you should leave, Skith. Hey, lots going on. Why not grab a bevy? Grab a bevy? Why not grab a bevy?

[02:33:58]

I'm stressed. Neutral Vodka Soda.

[02:34:02]

You can do this. You can do this. You can do this.

[02:34:06]

Neutral Vodka Soda, there you go, is now available in a lime tall cans at the LCBO.

[02:34:14]

Vodka, soda, lime made with just three ingredients. Neutral contains zero grams of sugar, zero grams of carbs, and certainly zero chance of me screwing up this read next time.

[02:34:30]

Neutral. Refreshingly simple.

[02:34:33]

It is simple. We could do something with that. The neutral zone. Right. Neutrally. Talk about the Toronto Maple leaves. From a neutral standpoint, of course. We need some neutral likes in here. Not enough. Just over 5,000.

[02:34:52]

And there's 14,000 of you in here. How dare you? How dare you?

[02:34:59]

The Buds have been looking good in the neutral zone. Thank you, Jeff. The stream is sponsored by Neutral, but my heartbeat isn't. Still a burt night. I'll take a Burt goal. You know what? I'm putting on my knockoff Matthew's Drew house jersey, crackin' fan, but I'm rooting for the leaves. I won't tell anyone it's a knockoff. Top clips as an aisles fan. I hope the leaves get it done for Tavares? Don't let other Islanders fans let you. Don't.

[02:35:40]

You've screwed up everything for me. You've screwed up my whole worldview.

[02:35:44]

Producer Drew asked me, Do we get another power play in this game? One. And we're not going to shut up about it for five years. Mcavoy, up and around. Labushkin, in the corner, pressure by Geke. Neilander comes up with it, airmails it out. Matthew Nye is trying to hunt down Mason Lorai. He's gotten better as the series has gone. Pasternak.

[02:36:14]

What a play! Stopped from Samsonov. You knew that was coming.

[02:36:21]

He wasn't passing that. Nope. He was challenged by Jim Montgomery to come up with big plays. Was that a toe drag between the legs? Sure was. Labushkin stayed with him. Name tag, listening to this while picking up my hub at work. What a soundtrack.

[02:36:43]

13:03 to go in the third.

[02:36:49]

Shots now, 24-20 in favor of the least. The Bruins hit the 20-shot mark. Man, this series in the Vancouver-Nashville Stingy. D zone draw. Kempf wins it back. Lilligren wins that drop, puts it up. Fourth line out there, some speedsters. Whoa. Ed Brunsson stands up Frederick. Two big boys. Oh, no! The Bruin is in front.

[02:37:21]

Get to it. Dive, dive. Bruin's put it in front. In the corner. Jbr to it. Lilligren battling Brazo. Brazo. He actually comes up with it there. That is a size mismatch.

[02:37:33]

Everyone's a size mismatch for Brazo.

[02:37:36]

Lilligren down. Jbr. No. Duhre. Off the boards.

[02:37:41]

No ice. Leaps will get a couple different guys off. Benwa. Oh, I don't like that play there, Benny. Lefs still get it out. Okay.

[02:37:57]

Marshan goes offside, and Thank goodness, because he was attacking with speed.

[02:38:04]

12:09 to go in the third period. Coosy can't stop. If this video gets 10,000 likes, Steve will do the next broadcast in a Marshan Jersey. No, I absolutely will not. The fratten game winner '67 jersey goes on for luck. I have no idea what you're talking about. Did Matt fratten? No, he didn't. Max Domi wins that face off clean.

[02:38:30]

Max Domi.

[02:38:33]

Offside, I guess. All right. 12:03 to go in the third. Oh, hand pass. Thank you. Steve, first video I saw of you was Boxing Day, 2008, Islanders' Leaps. You were complaining about the Isle's goal horn. Good luck tonight. Some things don't change, eh? Reilly. Oh, that goes out off a stick.

[02:39:08]

And a Neelander fan catches it, and he's getting booed. He got stuff thrown at him. What's better than sports? What's better than sports?

[02:39:24]

Austin Rodgers, During the offseason, does SDPN still have shows? Oh, yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Lots. Don't worry. Don't you worry about that. Reilly tries to get it across the ice. He does, but slowly.

[02:39:42]

De Brusque attacking with speed. Stop by the shoulder of Sammie. Oh, baby.

[02:39:51]

Oh, Marner handles that pass. It came in hot. Thank goodness. Slows the game down a little bit. He's done a real good job of that. He He's done a real good job of slowing the game down when it needs to. Bert out there with Matthews and Nylander. Matthews with it behind the net.

[02:40:10]

On. Oh, stopped.

[02:40:12]

Benwa comes up with it.

[02:40:14]

He's deep. Matthews! Where is it? Blocked. He knocks it loose. Carlo comes up with it. Bertuzzi takes down his man. No call. Matthews sets up Nylander who scores. Oh, baby! That's going to cause some controversy. But the Leifs score. The dude who got the buck is celebrating. And William Nielander, who called it this guy, gets the first goal of the game 10:59 to go in the third period. 2013, they couldn't hold. 2019, they couldn't hold. 2018, they couldn't hold.

[02:41:00]

Can they hold this?

[02:41:04]

Bertuzzi to Matthews to Willy. I said Bertuzzi would take the next penalty. I think I'm right. I'd have to watch that play again. I know it's going to be talked about to death tomorrow, no matter what happens. Neil Anderson, third of the playoffs despite joining the series in what?

[02:41:29]

Game 4? Leifs come out of their corner with it. Nijs with speed.

[02:41:36]

He's got Marner. Humberg! Oh, no, that was Edmondson. Stop. Boy, he's had two really good chances in this game. Tavares, Humberg. Sorry, you don't exactly expect Joel Edmondson to be in that position. Sports interaction, live odds.

[02:41:58]

The Leaps are now minus 500. Kampf.

[02:42:06]

Up the ice. Gregor on. He likes to shoot. I didn't say he was great at it, but he likes to shoot.

[02:42:13]

Helps break up a pass a little bit.

[02:42:16]

Reilly. Oh, no, Debrazo. Where is it? It's around the boards. Exactly halfway through the third period. Bruins put it on. Tipped wide. Leaps running around a little bit here. Running around, running around. Mccabe strong on the buck, but falls down. Bruins, where is it? Rebound. Over the net. It touched the top of the net. They score. Boston is tied at. Trent Frederick, 9:38 to go in the third. Hampus-linnholme leading the draw. It was someone. Let's see how this happened. It wasampus Lindhome with 9:38 to go in the third. Boy, you know this is going to be a story tomorrow. Leaps blow a third period lead in 2013 and 2018. We'll see about 2024. The puck hit the top of the net. Jbr finds Lynn home. Yuck. I don't know if Sammie was screened or what. Eew. He's been so good all night. Eew. I hate that goal. That goal sucked.

[02:43:54]

Eew.

[02:43:55]

Lindhome's first of the playoffs, and now this building is Just beside itself.

[02:44:01]

Matthew's out there with Holmberg and Yarn Croke.

[02:44:05]

Holmberg catches up to the puck. Drilled. Puck nowhere near him. Here come the Bruins. De Bruyce on wide.

[02:44:13]

I'm not going to lie, Sammie looks rattled.

[02:44:16]

It's tied just like it was a couple of minutes ago.

[02:44:21]

Matthew's hunting. Nine minutes to go here in the third period.

[02:44:27]

De Bruyce. Oh, nasty slash there on Benoît. Bertuzzi, get after it, get after it, get after it.

[02:44:36]

Zaka, into the corner.

[02:44:39]

Benoît, up.

[02:44:44]

Domi out there. Marner. Bruins has spent a lot of time in the leave zone in this game. Up and out. 8:30 to go in the third period, one One.

[02:45:01]

Good steal from Bert.

[02:45:06]

Leaps now plus 110.

[02:45:08]

Wow.

[02:45:10]

From sports interaction.

[02:45:13]

Tavares stumbles, gets it out.

[02:45:17]

No ice, though. It is ice. Never mind. Sarah says, I'm up to 121 beats per minute. That tracks. These leaves are the stealers of the NHL. Doctors here in Pittsburgh, and they're in Toronto make bank. Dreamlander, consistent machine. Maybe he's got another one in him. 8:09 to go in the third period. Shots 28 to 25 in favor of the Leaps. Bruins have had a lot of ozone time in this period and in in this game.

[02:46:00]

De Brusque hands it off. Bruins, try a shot from the same spot.

[02:46:04]

Sammie stops it. Nye's collects it. Get out, kid.

[02:46:09]

Absorbs a check.

[02:46:17]

Bruins, dump it in.

[02:46:18]

Labushkin. Cranked by Charlie Coyle. Bruins, hold the line. They put it on. Oh, Sammie's down. Nize comes up with it. He'll chip it out.

[02:46:29]

Leaps offside. Icing? Producer Drew is saying, I'm sure Marshan hit Samsonov by accident. Yeah, Swayman went to play the park. Shots now an even 27-27. I believe they took a shot away from the Leaps and gave the Bruins, too. Nope, they're calling it an icing, and the Leaps have to get off of the bench and go back out there. Labushkin. Please don't score here. I don't want to have to talk about that.

[02:47:21]

Swam and played it.

[02:47:23]

Oh, my God. John Tavares taking on Pavel Zaka in the leave zone. Tavares wins it, but Geeky can't come up with the buck. Pertuzzi gets it out. That'll do. Bruins put it out of play. 7:26 to go in the third period. When I said that, producer Drew goes, Why would you even say that? And he's right.

[02:47:53]

I'm sorry. 17,000 I'm getting 600 here.

[02:48:04]

Bet local with sportsinteraction, your homegrown sportsbook, 19 plus, Ontario only. Please play responsibly. My heart is going to explode. It's going to explode. Oh my God, it's going to explode. William Neillander scores. Controversy. Tyler Bertuzzi took down his man. Could it have been a trip? Could have been. Gives it to Austin Matthews. Who gives it to William Neylander, who scores on an open net, one-nothing leaps. About two minutes later, Bruins, with all the momentum, Puck hits the top of the net, bounces over. The leaps look like they're dodging bullets left and right. Hampus Lindholme gets the Puck, and you. I'll need to see another angle, see if he was screened, but that was not a great goal.

[02:49:44]

Ahmed says, Samson out of his garbage. You know what's crazy? He's allowed one goal. It wasn't a good one. Man, Matthew setting up the winner in his return. God, that would have been incredible.

[02:50:01]

He still might.

[02:50:02]

He just won off that one. You have almost as many people watching as there are in TD Garden. No pressure, Steve. Oh, my God, you're right. Let's go. Shout out to that person wearing a pajama pants. 7:26 to go in the third period. Face off at center ice, Matthews wins it. He's out there with Bertuzzi and Marner. Bertuzzi, Mitch, chips it to Bertuzzi, who gains the zone. Brings it around. Matthew's going to hunt. Hits it to himself, gets it around to Mitch. Mitch doesn't find his defenseman at the blue line. Sammie plays it to Simone Benoît. That made me feel yucky in my tummy. Bruins looking to change here. 6:45 to go in the third. Love you, Steve. Can't wait to watch the Leaps again. Same.

[02:51:04]

Tavares in, shot, stopped by Swayman, and we got a whistle with 6:36 to go in the third. Come on.

[02:51:20]

Come on.

[02:51:22]

Loosen up. Feel good.

[02:51:31]

Someone else besides Nylander has to step up.

[02:51:36]

Are you in?

[02:51:39]

Boston hate watchers. Leifs are the 2004 Red Sox. That'd be incredible. Leifs, Ozone draw. Bruins come up with it. Pasta gains the zone. He has reinforcements. Bruins look like a different team.

[02:51:57]

Geeky. Oh, boy. Cuts. Nice. Get rid of it, kid. Has to skate it out of trouble. Mostly does. Get the job done. Get it out. Get it out. Pasta gets the buck up high. Leaps deflected. Pasta again, blocked by Tavares. Get it out.

[02:52:16]

I hate this. Bruins come up with it. Leaps, partial change.

[02:52:22]

Willy. Oh, Bruins really driving the net here.

[02:52:26]

Under six minutes to go. Wotherspoon in. Brazo. First on it. Jbr.

[02:52:36]

This line has been effective, man. Tries to wrap around. Stop by Samy.

[02:52:41]

Here comes Marner. He's out there with Bertuzzi, and is it Domi or Matthews? Domi hasn't been out there in a while. There he is. Slogfest in the neutral zone. 5:20 to go in the third. Lilligren. Pass up the ice. Matthews tips it so it won't be ice. Wotherspoon rings it around. There's no leaf there. Good pass. Cross-ice to De Brusque from Marshan. He dumps It in. Benoît looks off McCabe. He's hit. Outlet pass for Yarn Croke. Doesn't work.

[02:53:23]

Marshan on side, stripped by Matthews.

[02:53:27]

Yarn Croke gets it out over the line. That'll have to do for now. Scrum right there at center ice between the benches. Holmberg comes out with it. Lisa will get a change. Game winner, Marner. Redemption. That would be incredible.

[02:53:48]

Julia McKenzie gives 10, five times 2.

[02:53:53]

Sdpn memberships, let's go. Shot attempts are 62 to 54 in favor of the Bruins. Shots are dead even, 28, 28. Shots on goal. What happened here? Hand pass, 419 to go in the third period. One, one. Here's the score. 17,500... No, 17,600 of you are here to watch my heartbeat out of my chest.

And I have less than 6,000 likes. That's pooh, that's unacceptable, that's garbage. Click like, you sickos. You're here to watch me suffer. Click the thing. That's the least you could do is click the thing. You can click subscribe if you're feeling festive. You're just going to sit here to watch me suffer. Almost 18,000 now. Click like. How dare you? Brando, Love from Vancouver, Knuxonleaf's final.

[02:54:56]

I would take that. Hope the Leifs win so that I can see Steve's reaction. Hope Boston wins so that I could see Steve's reaction. Is it going to be heaven or hell?

[02:55:07]

Well, I know what it's going to be for you. You want to watch me suffer.

[02:55:13]

Leifs got this, Boston Corp frauds. This is from SL. People talk about them like they won, like Chicago, Pittsburgh, or Tampa, but they choke more than they win when it matters. You said it, not me. Steve doing the Penguin pat down. It's a track thing, track and field. Shilv QR code, Steve. I will.

[02:55:41]

Neutral vodka soda.

[02:55:44]

That's who the stream is presented by. Let's go. Go leaves go. We are about to return. Unbelievable amount of people at Maple Eve Square. They are outside of the actual square. What are you watching on binoculars?

[02:56:08]

Shout out to that lady who just has a sign that says leaves with a bunch of heart emojis. All right.

[02:56:22]

Returning to play. Face off just outside the leaves zone. Good play by Morgan Geeky, but Reilly gets to it first. Boy, the Bruins making the leaves fight for every inch of their own D zone here.

[02:56:36]

Pasta. No one on them except for the linesman, and Labushkin smushes them. Tavares loses his footing.

[02:56:44]

Willy gets it out. Oh, boy, is this going to be ice? It is. It's all right. You're just coming out of a TV time out, but at some point, you're going to have to hunt, boys. You're going to have to attack. Pedro says, We needed the zombies. Come on, Leaps. The Bruins of the chokers here.

[02:57:04]

Come on, Leaps.

[02:57:05]

Leaps' streak of scoring two or fewer lives on strong. Under four minutes to go. Sending positive vibes from a Vegas fan to a Leaps fan. You got this. Break the curse. I would love that.

[02:57:17]

3:53 to go in the third period.

[02:57:19]

Tavares wins the D zone draw. Bruins, Glovet.

[02:57:27]

Nice. Chasing McAvoy, he knocks the punk off his stick. Nijs comes up with it. Marner gets it down low. No, rings it around. Benoît. Boy, he's seeing a lot of ice in this game. Domi.

[02:57:43]

Mccabe.

[02:57:44]

Oh, the leaves Hold the line.

[02:57:48]

Marner.

[02:57:48]

Oh, boy.

[02:57:49]

Blows the tire. Hustle back, boys. Hustle back. Four on four.

[02:57:54]

Oh, De Bruyce trips on the buck. Here comes Domi. Another blown tire by a Bruin this time. Domi finds Edmondson.

[02:58:03]

Puck has been finding him tonight. Bruins off the glass and out. Nice to see them do that for once. Marner, three minutes to go in the third period. Lots of commotion at the benches. 2:45 to go. Edmondson with it. Neutral zone. Swayman, out of the net to play it. Matthews almost got to it first. Almost isn't good enough. Battle in the neutral zone. Who comes up with it? Matthews. High stick by the Bruins. Holmberg gets to it first. Maybe he should have taken the face off there. Lynn Home for Frederick. The other Holme. James Van Riemsdijk behind the leaves net.

[02:59:02]

To the point, shot on wide. Bruins get it back, though. Pasta, where is it? Sammie doesn't have a stick again. Matthews directs the stick to Sammie with his feet? Oh, that'll be icing by the narrowest of margins.

[02:59:23]

152 to go in the third period. Go, Leaps, go from Vancouver. You have as many people in this chat as in the garden tonight, whoever wins this game is getting rolled by Florida.

[02:59:34]

How dare you?

[02:59:36]

You got this from a Caps fan. Beating the pens felt better than winning the cup.

[02:59:40]

Wow.

[02:59:42]

That is saying something. Sam, he just stuck the leg out. He had no idea where that shot was, man. He's smiling a little bit. Nearly 19,000 people in here. This is the most people we've had concurrently through this series. Hello, with you wherever you are. Welcome to this watch-along. Matthews against Zaka in the D zone. Matthews wins it. Matthews out there with Nielander and Holmberg. Bruins blocked. Nylander airmails it. Leifs looking to change some bodies here. Bruins can't gain the zone. They'll have to rip it in. Under 90 seconds to go in the third period now. Here come the Lefs with speed, Yarn Croke. Out there with Tavares and Nye. Lefs switching it up a little bit here.

[03:00:43]

Oh.

[03:00:45]

Bruins, finally get out of their zone. Momentum, slowly, slowly, turning back towards the leaves. Benoît, out with it. Gets it to Domi. Nice little pass in the neutral zone.

[03:00:57]

Domi, rips it on, loses his stick.

[03:01:00]

Comes back to him. Bruins get the buck, though. Bertuzzi all over Marsh hand. Domi. Bruins, turn it back. Neutral zone battle here. Oh, Bertuzzi takes it. Mcavoy gets it back.

[03:01:22]

Oh, boy.

[03:01:27]

Under 30 seconds to go in the in the third period. 20 seconds to go in the third period. Holding it. 15 seconds to go in the third period. Up the ice.

[03:01:44]

Matthews hunting. Blocked. Shoot it, Holmberg. Shoot it. To Willy. On, on. Forgot to. Oh, oh. Willy put it in front. It hit Wotherspoon's Great. And Swayman stopped it. Oh, my God. That was so close. And I'm not even sure if regulation is done right now. They whistle the play dead, but did the final horn for the third period go? Oh, that was actually a really good save from Swayman.

[03:02:28]

Oh, Yeah, you know what? There should maybe be time left on the clock here. No. No. Overtime. Overtime. Are you kidding me? Are you kidding me? Game seven, overtime. Next goal wins. For the second time, In 11 years, the Leifs and Bruins will be going to overtime in game seven as I casually look over and see the number of people watching skyrocket.

[03:03:14]

Oh my God. Oh, my God! Oh my God!

[03:03:24]

Composure.

[03:03:27]

Composure.

[03:03:28]

Composure.

[03:03:29]

Shake it up.

[03:03:32]

Shake all the sillies out. I'm going to barf. I'm going to freaking barf. It's just a burp. Stars fan, rooting for the leaves from Daniel Howard. Thanks for picking us to win. Go stars, go leaves. Good luck in your game seven. We're not here for suffering. We're here for history.

[03:03:55]

Oh, bar, bar.

[03:03:58]

Here's to seeing Brad Marshan Can't cry again. Play Gloria. Will you have a beer? I think I have to, right? I have to, right? Or a neutral vodka soda. I will tell you my overtime picks. Don't go away, Drew. I will be right back.

[03:04:31]

I'm coming back.

[03:04:48]

Oh, the hands.

[03:04:55]

Oh, the hands are shaking, bud.

[03:04:59]

This is neutral vodka. Neutral vodka lime in the cup.

[03:05:10]

We got it. We got it.

[03:05:14]

We got it. Yeah, I had a bevy in overtime in game five. Had a bevie in overtime in game five, and they won. This is an old rule going back to... This is going back like three, four years.

[03:05:41]

Overtime bevie.

[03:05:44]

24 years ago, tonight, Penz Flyers played a five overtime game. Thanks for that. Friendly Devils fan, Leaps versus Knux for the final. I I want to see a Hughes brother in the finals. Jt Overtime winner calling it. Bergeron was on a radio ad. I want to cry. I miss him so much. Cry. We shotguning a neutral if they win. You don't shotgun neutral. You enjoy it. You sip it.

[03:06:15]

Most views ever. Steve, be right back.

[03:06:19]

Yeah, I did do that. Can't collapse in the third period if you go to OT. Go leaves, go. Do we have a medic? Oh, my God, I can't even keep up with all these. Holding out for a hero playing all of overtime. I only just ate dinner and it's about to come back up.

[03:06:34]

Come on, Steve. We got to breathe deeply.

[03:06:37]

Deep breaths.

[03:06:40]

4:00 AM in the UK.

[03:06:42]

Don't make me suffer.

[03:06:46]

Campf.

[03:06:47]

Ot winning goal. I'll take it. They're showing the Willy goal again. Break my heart. Man, if that That was the winner. Can we do the rodeo wrap? Samy stick to his wrist.

[03:07:07]

Yeah, seriously, dude.

[03:07:09]

He loses his stick so often. Hey, Steve. It's my birthday. Happy birthday. And if the leaves lose, I might not make it to age 21. I am aging so fast.

[03:07:20]

Medicare, we do have a medic in the chat.

[03:07:23]

This is good. If anyone has a medical emergency in the chat, if anyone is typing medical emergency, I think you'll be okay. Would you like a couch, worried about your posture? I fix my posture all the time. You don't understand. You got to lean forward. This is disgusting. Jeff super chatted $10, but I looked at the dollar sign and it looked like this weird symbol. I'm like, What currency is that? And I realized I had spout on the screen. Yummy. As a Habs fan that doesn't like either team, I will say there was no trip on Toronto's goal. By the way, I'm rooting against Boston more than I am against Toronto. You're awesome, Steve. Keep it up. I will take it. Jj Casey from Buffalo. But love you, Steve. Watching from the Cigar Lounge with a... I don't have my glasses on. Is that a neutral vodka soda? I think that's what that says. Watching from Sweden. It's 5:00 AM on a Sunday, playing GM Mode on NHL 24 to calm the nerves. Thanks for the content. You're welcome. Brazo to win it in OT. I hate that a lot. Go, Bruins. Go, regardless of who Who wins?

[03:08:45]

Florida will win next round. What do you mean regardless of who wins? Why are you acting like the least aren't going to win this? Stop. The emotions. Oh, my God. Oh, my God. They're going so quick. Steve, are you proud of this Leifs team? I am. I am, but win a series, dude. There's a lot to like about it. We win a series, dude. Domi, OT winner. Go, Lefs, go. I will take that. If this is your first time here on Sdpn, hi. Steve Dangle here. Sdpn, watch along. If you're like, Why isn't he at Sportsnet anymore? I quit. I run my own company now with my pals Adam Wild and Jesse Blake. We are the Steve Dangle podcast, and we made Sdpn. We have lots of great shows. The CJ show, Agent Provocateur, Drew and stew. How about that, Drew? How about that, Drew? If you like F1, we got an F1 show.

[03:09:58]

Nailing the apex.

[03:10:01]

Jesse Blake Sports Report. Am I missing any? I hope not. I'm frazzled right now.

[03:10:11]

We got lots of shows. Oh, jeez.

[03:10:13]

Basu and Godan, Notebook for all the Habs fans in the chat. Man, they did great work this year. Producer Drew saying, Did you give your OT goalpicks? No. I did nail it last time. Neelander. Neelander. Paging Mitch Marner, someone said. I would take that. I would take that. Toronto Ronald Dominion Garden about to be sad. Popy got to end it. That'd be great. Sammie goalie goal for the win. Why not? I think that would be the first one ever. Talk about Matthew Nye's in the broadcast right now. He's been absolutely unbelievable. Purple Cat, I just got a super rare pet in RuneScape. I'm feeling good. It's a good omen. At least you're going to win now because you got a pet in RuneScape.

[03:11:41]

Click like if you're here.

[03:11:44]

If you're here, not just to watch my heart explode, which I know a lot of you are, all I need from you, this is the tax, all I need from you, click like. It helps. That's all. That's all you got to do. It tells YouTube, oh, people like this. That's it. You know how they know that? You click like.

[03:12:11]

Whoa. Producer Drew picking Joel Edmondson for the game winner.

[03:12:15]

He's had two really good chances. It's nuts. They're actually showing it. Yeah, they're showing it on the broadcast right now. How are we feeling, Chat? Better get the Hall & Oats, Steve. No, dude. Oh, wait. Is Hall & Oats the goal song?

[03:12:36]

Panama as a goal song? Rips. Rips.

[03:12:42]

Game 6, I think That's got to be their full-time goal song. None of this alternating stuff. Panama rips as a goal song. Camp with the Death Stick in the garden. Hey, you're looking for something to do?

[03:13:05]

You're looking for something to grab? A little bevy for your overtime watching?

[03:13:10]

Neutral vodka soda, baby.

[03:13:12]

Neutral Vodka, that's the only reason that this stream is happening tonight.

[03:13:17]

Neutral Vodka is now available in lime. It was all caps.

[03:13:22]

Lime!

[03:13:23]

Neutral Vodka Soda is now available in Lime.

[03:13:26]

Tall cans. It's so lime.

[03:13:29]

Lime lime tall cans at the LCBO. Vodka, soda, lime made with just three ingredients. Neutral contains zero grams of sugar, zero grams of carbs, and certainly no chance of overtime disappointment. Neutral, refreshingly simple. I'm going to faint. I'm going to... Bayly Salko says, Morgan Reilly. I agree. Oh, you mean for an overtime winner? I agree. Steve, I think we need a huge...

[03:14:06]

Let's go!

[03:14:11]

I hope that's enough. The Stoic Chipmunk. This is all too much. I need an adult. So do I. At best, I have one in my ear, and he's a Habs fan. No, he's not. He's an Abs fan. I'm flustered. Sorry, Steve, but Bert is going to score. Do not apologize. I ESPN broadcast muted listening to your play-by-play. I like that. Arismix. Nothing makes you nauseous like a Game7 OT. As a Hawks fan, I couldn't bear to watch it in 2014 when Alec Martinez won it for LA. I was listening right outside my room. Still have not watched that goal 10 years later out of spice.

[03:14:52]

That is Hayton.

[03:14:55]

That is hatin. Oh, the deserve to winometer is on the screen. What is Boston at? 62 %. It's gone down. It's gone down. Live odds, by the way, Toronto is a plus 110. Boston is a minus 135. So Boston pretty decently favored here. Legend called Pain. Rather have Panama or burn it to the ground. See, it's not about what's a better song because Burn It to the Ground is a really good song. Panama, it's wicked goal song. Wicked. It's also easier to sing along to. All you got to do is Panama. Panama. It's harder. We're going out tonight. Too many words. Biaxa has poppy socks on. He does? I love that. Bring the Swedish king his crown after this one. Go, leaves. Steve, pull a Hercule and cut a promo for the stream to lend their energy to the spirit bomb. I don't know who told you it's 2013. I don't know who told you it's 2018.

[03:16:38]

I don't know who told you it's 2019. But whoever they are, stop me They're not even their friend right now because they're liars. This is 2024. When I woke up this morning, it wasn't 2013, it wasn't 2018, it wasn't 2019. We were right here, right here, 10 toes on the ground here in 2024. And there was a game seven to win. And there's still a game seven to win right here, right now in overtime in Boston in TD Garden.

[03:17:20]

Lend them your strength. If you hate the Bruins, lend them your strength.

[03:17:27]

If you are tired of this from the Boston Bruins, lend the Leifs your strength. The Leifs have a game to win. They have a series to win. They have one goal, and that's one goal.

[03:17:46]

Overtime in Boston right now.

[03:17:52]

Puck is about to drop here at Sdpn.

[03:17:57]

On the watch along. Click like, click subscribe. Tell all your friends. Puck, one back into the leave zone. Nyes.

[03:18:05]

Cross the ice for Neylander.

[03:18:06]

Good pass.

[03:18:08]

Tavares driving.

[03:18:11]

Nyes late to the Puck there. Bruins, put it out. Neylander, just casual. Nyes. Has the Puck taken off him? Here come the Bruins. Back pressure, though.

[03:18:24]

Puck up the ice. Nyes. He's going to attack. No reinforcements, though. Oh, Take it out. Play isn't called dead. He's got to go get his stick.

[03:18:36]

Bruins, shovel it into the zone off of De Bruyce.

[03:18:39]

Marshan with speed. Puck temporarily. Benwa tries to kill the guy. Puck around. Behind the leaf's net.

[03:18:51]

Neylander's got to get after Coyle there.

[03:18:52]

Someone's got to get after someone.

[03:18:55]

Bruin set up here.

[03:18:57]

They put it on. Rebound, blocked. Sammie covers it, and we will get a D-zone draw a minute five into overtime. Oh, baby. Click like, click subscribe. Tell all your friends. I think Benoît might have got the worst of that.

[03:19:23]

His face went right into the dasher. Charlie Coyle very narrowly ends it there.

[03:19:30]

How does Benoît have teeth after that?

[03:19:33]

37 hits this series. D zone draw. Leifs come up with it. They got to get it out, though. And Lilligran does. Matthew's out there with Yarn Croke.

[03:19:45]

And Bertuzzi, who puts it into the chest of Swayman.

[03:19:51]

Leifs will get a Ozone draw here. Sheldon, keep getting real creative with it. Producer Drew says, Don't forget to breathe. Neylander out there now. Neylander with Matthews and Bertuzzi. They're talking it over. Joel Edmondson and Timothée Lilligren out there. So it's a new look line out with the Leifs' third pair. Bruins win the draw, though. Lilligren has got to get after that. Oh, boy. Oh, boy. Bruins.

[03:20:34]

On. Stop by Sammie. Rebound. Oh, my God. Wide. I thought that was it. Nealander, Bertuzzi.

[03:20:42]

It's out. That won't be ice. No way. No shot. 18-20 to go in the first overtime. I mean, we're average...

[03:20:57]

Oh, what a play! Off the boards, series winner, big play from a big player after being challenged by his coach, David Pasternauk. The Bruins, for the first time in seven attempts, win an elimination game, and they will go on to the second round to take on the Florida Panthers. An absolutely magnificent play. A magnificent play.

[03:22:00]

And the leaf season is over.

[03:22:03]

Just a spectacular play.

[03:22:06]

Who put that in? Was it Geeky? Lindhome.

[03:22:10]

From center ice, absolutely perfect. And Sammie outstretches, gets his foot all the way across, and Pasternauk puts the puck into a puck-sized gap in the net to win it.

[03:22:30]

My condolence. Oh, my God. So many lovely super chats in here. I don't know if I'm going to get the chance to read them all. Holy shit. Did someone give a thousand bucks? I saw the 300. Oh, my God. I'm crushed. I'm crushed, guys. I really thought they were going to win this one. And just like in 2013. Wow, there's a Leifs Jersey on the ice. Just like in 2013, Leifs had a third period lead. Just like in 2013 and in 2018, the Leifs had a third period lead in Boston in game seven, and they blow it. We're going to find out what happened to Austin Matthews. Gutsy effort, gets an assist in game seven. I mean, what do you want? What do you want? Dude was pulled by the doctors in game four, doesn't play game five, doesn't play game six, leaves four, seven. Gets an assist in seven. Sheldon Keef there on the ice.

[03:23:49]

If I was putting money down, that's his last game as Leaps' head coach.

[03:23:57]

There's Samsonov. If I'm putting money down, that's his last game as Leifs' goaltender. Tyler Bertuzzi, he's going to be real tough to keep. Hats off to Jeremy Swayman. Incredible. Mitch Marner, he's on camera now. It might be his last game as a leaf. You can't run this back. And in previous years, you'd say to yourself, there's no way they're going to run this back. There's no way. Maybe they do, though. This year, no shot. No shot. Someone from the core is gone. Coach might be gone. The President, Brandon Shanahan, may well be gone. And the Leaps are gone from these playoffs. Jim Montgomery, I don't know if he drew that up, Lynn Home, whoever. Absolutely brilliant damn play.

[03:24:58]

Brilliant damn play to end this overtime.

[03:25:04]

Brilliant damn play off the end board.

[03:25:07]

Spectacular.

[03:25:09]

I see there's 27,000 people in here right now. We're under 10,000 likes. You are here to see my suffering, you rotten sons of guns, the tax that I ask you to pay. Just click a like.

[03:25:24]

And subscribe, producer Drew said. You're welcome to subscribe.

[03:25:27]

The least you could do is click like. This pass from Lindhome is bloody spectacular. Lindhome, 2.9, and your team only scored two goals. You can't ask for much more than that from a defenseman who you tax with shutting everyone down. You might say it should have never got to overtime. That goal from Samsonov was not awesome.

[03:26:09]

He did his best. He made a ton of saves in this thing, but that goal is a backbreaker.

[03:26:17]

Two minutes, two frigging minutes after the leaves go up. Oh. Producer Drew asking the question, How many games consecutively have the leaves not scored? No, it's the The streak is games without three or more playoff goals, because they did score three in this series. I think it was game two. It's like once in the last 12 or 13 playoff games, going back to, I I want to say, game four against Tampa, because that was the 4-1 comeback. I think that was the last time that Leifs scored more than three goals in a playoff game. I want to thank all the super chats. I simply cannot keep up with them. We're up at a that I'm shocked by, and I think someone donated real big, and I missed it. I saw 300. If that was you, bless you. Thank you. You're helping out a small business here in Sdpn. We're not going to get second-round revenue, at least not with the Toronto Maple leaves. We're going to chat for 10, 15 minutes here. If you're wondering, my season's not done. Sdpn season is not done, we will be, I'm sweating. We will be streaming the second round.

[03:28:19]

Adam Wild. I think we're going to announce this tomorrow. Adam Wild will be doing Knux Oilers. Oh, that Neelander chance at the end. Adam Wild will be streaming Knux Oilers, all Canadian series. He'll be doing the West. We're going to be streaming an Eastern series in the second round. We haven't confirmed which one. My bet is we do Boston, Florida. Might as well stick with Boston in Florida, stick with the Atlantic division, and also stick with the meme of not covering the Rangers. Oh, man. So What comes now?

[03:29:02]

What happens now?

[03:29:03]

What happens now is we have a Steve Dangle podcast tomorrow. Always a hell of an autopsy, always a hell of a postmortem. Man, they were close. Look, you can't keep only getting this far. The problem is you look at the leaves and you're like, Well, don't you like this? Don't you like this? Don't you like this? There's lots of things to like about the leaves. There are. Dude, they make the playoffs every year.

[03:29:51]

They always put up a fight.

[03:29:54]

It's not enough that they put up a fight. They've scored more than two goals just once in the last 14 games in the Stanley Cup playoffs. And they're built around a core four of forwards in Mitch Marner, John Tavares, Austin Matthews, and William Neylander. Put them in whatever order you want. Matthews and Neylander are getting raises next year, dude. And Neylander was great, and Matthews was great. Marner didn't really rack up the points, but I thought he was good. And Tavares, I don't know about $11 million good, but he was good. Derek saying, Love you, Steve. From a B's fan. Thank you. You're the best. Oh, God. They're built around a core four of highly paid forwards, and they cannot score when it matters the most.

[03:30:50]

You're just playing Whac-a-mole.

[03:30:52]

You keep getting these good performances from these guys, but the other guys are quiet. You get good performances from these guys, and other guys go quiet.

[03:31:02]

The mix doesn't work.

[03:31:06]

If you go through the years, Oh, if you only get that saved from Sammie, if only this call doesn't go this way, if only that, if only that, if only that, if only that, I'm done saying if only. Pretty confidently, MLSE is done saying if only. Yeah, they get playoff revenue every year. They got three playoff games.

[03:31:30]

If the Toronto Maple leaves win the Stanley Cup, Maple leaves Sports and Entertainment can go out and buy the moon. They can be the first ever hockey team in space and win the Space League Cup every year because they're the only team there, because they're the only team that can afford it.

[03:31:55]

The combo doesn't work. They They have to make a change to the core, and I think they will. Sheldon Keef's extension kicks in next year, which is hilarious, and I think he's going to get fired. There's lots of coaches, by the way, around the league who have extensions kicking in next year who were fired. Brenda Shanaher, who's been the President since 2013. When was Brenda Shanaher hired? Brendan Shanaher hired Leifs. April 11th, 2014. He's the one common denominator. Since that dramatic loss in Boston in 2013, I have to tell you which one. Brandon Shanehan's got his fingerprints on all of it, dude. 2017, where they were young and up and coming, but they couldn't beat the caps. Well, Well, no one begrudges that. They were a team of rookies. 2018 against Boston. Well, no one begrudges that. I mean, you were down 3-1, and you fought back, and you were younger, even though you blew a third-period lead. And then 2019, when you were probably better, and then you don't do so good in game seven. And okay, well, then 2020 comes and you take a huge step backwards, but then the world ends, and then you're one of only two teams that have home ice, and then you blow it against the Blue Jack.

[03:33:57]

It's all right. And then you have this season where it's the Canadian division. It's the only time that's ever happened. And you win the thing, and you have a 3-1 series lead over the Montreal Canadiens, and you blow that to 2022, if only the Leaps don't have this penalty called against them, which Justin Hall. And then finally, finally, finally, they win a series last year against the Tampa Bay Lightning. Hooray. We did it. War is over. And they go to the second round, and they promptly get their bottom smanked by the Florida Panthers.

[03:34:32]

You have to win 16 games to win the Stanley Cup.

[03:34:40]

You know that leaf?

[03:34:41]

That big wooden leaf thing that they put all the pucks in? You have to win 16 games. You have to gather.

[03:34:47]

You have to take 16 of those pucks to call yourselves champions.

[03:34:58]

And this year, the Leifs tied their second-highest win total of the Brandon Chanahan era with three.

[03:35:11]

It's over. That's enough.

[03:35:17]

If only this, if only this, if only that, if only that, it's over. Now, Kyle Dubas' fingerprints are all over this, too. Producer Drew is telling me to save some of this for the LFR. Maybe I will.

[03:35:41]

You know what?

[03:35:43]

That's a tease. My channel is Steve Dangle, all one word. Click like, click subscribe. Tell all your friends, be there, because I'll be there like I am every damn year when this happens. It's going to be Hellfire and brimstone. And I'm going to spend what's left of my voice on that video. And for tomorrow's podcast, I'll just figure it out. Huge thanks to Neutral Vodka for sponsoring this stream. Neutral Vodka Soda is now available in lime-tall cans at the LCBO. Vodka, soda, lime. Made with just three ingredients. Three ingredients never hurt me. Neutral contains zero grams of sugar, zero grams of carbs, and certainly zero chance of disappointment. Neutral, refreshingly simple. I don't think there's anything simple about the Toronto Mapleies, but I'm going to try to make it as simple as I possibly can for you in the LFR video. We good? Folks, thank you so much for watching. I'll be with you in round two. I'm just not sure when. Boston, Florida, kicks off Monday. But for now, that is it for this stream. Thank you very much for watching. Click like if you like this video. Click subscribe if you really liked it.
