A piece of very sad, breaking news to bring you now. West Midland's Ambulance Service has just put out a statement to say that a child has died after an incident in Wolverhampton last night. They say they were called just after 6:00 in the evening to a canal off Henden Avenue in Ettingshaw. They sent two ambulances, a paramedic officer, a merit trauma doctor, and critical care paramedic to the scene. The first resource arrived in three minutes. But the spokesperson person says that on arrival, the crews found a boy who'd been pulled from the water by police colleagues in a critical condition. They go on to say that he was receiving basic life support by officers and ambulance staff immediately took over to administer advanced life support. But sadly, despite everyone's best efforts, the child couldn't be saved, and he was confirmed dead at the scene.
