I think the things that I like to make tend to have that... They tend to be in that sticky place where you've got sympathy for the devil. So I don't know that it is a takedown of anyone as much as it's a takedown of all of us all the time. I don't think it would be interesting if it wasn't exposing. I'm only interested in things that are exposing. As an audience member and as a filmmaker, I think that the only interesting thing has got to be those things that are about shame, about how we feel about ourselves and all of those things, and that communion. There's a Pseudomaschism inherent in making films. You're both, you're dominating, but you're also at the at the behest of the audience, too. So it's like, Yeah, I don't know. I would never want to make something it didn't feel exposing.
