[00:00:12]

Let's go out to our crew in La. Levitard is out there with Mike, with Amin, with Charlote. They are getting us ready for the Chargers game. Big Monday night game. Levitard set the scene for us.

[00:00:26]

Mike Ryan has a giant CD lamb parlay. He's got three other guys have scored a touchdown. He needs CD. Lamb to score a touchdown tonight. He's going out to see it personally, see if it pays nine to one.

[00:00:37]

Yeah.

[00:00:37]

With no way to hedge because in my book, you can't bet against someone to score a touchdown. It's only a positive prop. But I've had Christian McCaffrey, Kenneth Walker and Tyreek Hill all score touchdowns. I need CD lamb who struggled over the last few weeks to get in the end zone for a nice little $530 payoff. Stu got. Do you like my chances?

[00:00:57]

I do like your chances, yes. I had the jets in a parlay yesterday, Mike. The jets had to win the game outright so you could imagine what was going on in my house. Not only are the jets winning, but they're winning me money. It was amazing.

[00:01:10]

How did you feel, Stugats, about Aaron Rodgers coming out and making sure everyone saw him throwing without crutches? As if he would be throwing with crutches.

[00:01:19]

I would prefer that JJ. Watt is strong in him. Dan. I mean, I got to be honest with you. Everyone here thinks it's fake. In fact, I think, Jess, you were the one who brought it up to my attention.

[00:01:30]

I brought it up and then everyone jumped on my throat and then Cox said it on the show and I was like, wait a second, that was my take. He didn't hurt his shoulder. Am I supposed to be impressed? Do some wind sprints.

[00:01:40]

All damn people feel like he was doing it just to know, hey, Aaron Rodgers, I'm out here. But no one feels like he's close to being able to play quarterback. There's not a single person on the planet that thinks Aaron Rodgers is going to come back in the next four to six weeks.

[00:01:56]

But that's not what it's about, Stugats. It's what's it about. Ten terrified Zach Wilson who has overcome some things because I can't imagine the last two weeks felt better for a lot of people than they feel for him. Given. He's getting trashed by Joe Namath. He's getting rodney Harrison is saying that he's garbage.

[00:02:15]

Joe Lameth.

[00:02:15]

I mean, it's just about getting to get to four and four, five and five, get the season to Aaron Rodgers in a condition that can still make the playoffs.

[00:02:27]

But Aaron Rodgers just wants to be seen. Aaron Rodgers can't stand not being seen or being like the main character in this. Like, sure, he's throwing. I'm with Jess.

[00:02:39]

See, I think you guys are missing the point here. You're not thinking about this four dimensionally. You remember years ago I told you Aaron Rodgers thrives on. It's not my fault. Everything. It's everybody else's fault. And that's why, underachievement, if you give me all the things I need, then that's a problem. So now that he's ruptured his Achilles.

[00:02:59]

It'S like, oh, perfect.

[00:03:00]

It's not my fault anymore. But by doing this, I can show A well, even though it's not my fault, I'm still trying. What are you guys doing? But B and this is the most important part, he's waging a war against science, ladies and gentlemen.

[00:03:12]

So the doctor said I can't do watch this.

[00:03:15]

Wow.

[00:03:15]

Go deep. That's all he's doing here.

[00:03:17]

It's the Aaron Rogers script dan used to thank you. Thank you, amim. The crew here asked me a very interesting question. You will love this question, Dan. I don't think he's going to love this. I think he'll like this question. He likes to dabble in the hypotheticals. Okay.

[00:03:30]

Dan, do you like chewing your orange juice?

[00:03:33]

That's the question. Pulp. Little pulp, heavy pulp. What's your thoughts?

[00:03:37]

No pulp.

[00:03:38]

Yes, there's no pulp. That's my pulpit.

[00:03:41]

Oh, no. I want my liquid to be all liquid. I don't think that is unreasonable, but.

[00:03:46]

It'S high in fiber.

[00:03:48]

Love to chew the pulp. Thank you, Charlote. We are two for two today in a group. Yeah, we are. It's so fun. You have a little orange juice and then it's like, oh, it's a little snack on the back.

[00:03:56]

Is it fun? Is it?

[00:04:00]

I love the shock that came out of the shipping container that Dan doesn't like to eat something.

[00:04:06]

Not when I'm drinking something I want to either drink it. If I want to eat and drink something, I will choose soup, not orange juice or a smoothie.

[00:04:15]

All right. Ask him the real question. All right. The real question is zach Wilson leads the jets to the playoffs. Aaron Rodgers is healthy to play once the playoffs roll starting. Do I want Aaron back or do I roll with Zach Wilson?

[00:04:27]

Are you joking?

[00:04:28]

Yeah. I want Zach Wilson.

[00:04:29]

Same Dan.

[00:04:31]

You're forgetting Dan. Dan, follow this hypothetical. He got them to the play, got us to the yes.

[00:04:37]

He didn't. Their defense did.

[00:04:39]

Their defense?

[00:04:40]

You have him, like, running like he's king of the world right now when he's scoring, what, eleven points a game?

[00:04:47]

You would rather have Aaron Rogers fresh off his science, Achilles, whatever bridge, stapled tendon situation in there, as opposed to a young Zach Wilson who got them.

[00:04:58]

There, who can run stugant, there is no way you would agree or would you not agree.

[00:05:02]

Charlote agrees with us.

[00:05:03]

It looks like that Zach Wilson would win the Super Bowl. You would agree with that.

[00:05:06]

Correct.

[00:05:07]

You've got a championship ready defense. You don't believe in any scenario that Zach Wilson can win a Super Bowl.

[00:05:12]

Take Trevor Simeon as an did. I mean, yeah, but Dilfer was better than you. Your expectations are so low for Zach Wilson that yeah, the last few weeks, especially that you're winning these games, you feel better about the quarterback. But I think what Rob Solace said after the game was awesome. I'd be really charged up about my head coach. It's like we've played Patrick Mahomes, we've played Josh Allen. We've played Jalen Hurts. We're embarrassing all of them. That's not the way that Rob Salah certainly talks about stuff. The defense is the story there.

[00:05:43]

We got him sucked in. We got him charlote.

[00:05:46]

Charlote's actually been impressed, and I think.

[00:05:48]

We should be, too.

[00:05:49]

About the endurance or the courage, I would say, of Zach Wilson, because this is man, having that city fall on your neck and every voice that was involved with the jets just crushing you, that has to be actually, I think.

[00:06:02]

Zach Wilson is, like, remarkably brave because it's not like he came in as the starter. If he'd come in as a starter and he sucked and everyone know all over him, it's one thing, but he came in following up one of the greatest quarterbacks of all. Even though I can't stand Aaron Rogers, I have to say that. And now he's actually to show up week after week, after everybody's been like, this is the worst quarterback we've ever seen, and then to actually get close and then to actually win.

[00:06:29]

What are you laughing about? Why are you laughing?

[00:06:30]

Because we've set the bar.

[00:06:32]

So the courage we're assigning to Zach.

[00:06:34]

Wilson because I come here, man, he.

[00:06:38]

Didn'T ask for any of this.

[00:06:39]

He didn't ask to be the second pick of the draft. You're right, he didn't ask for that. But he was happy to wait a minute.

[00:06:45]

The grace under fire that Zach Wilson.

[00:06:47]

Is we can laugh, but he was getting crushed sugats in a way that you never see someone crushed. A New York quarterback coming in and looking incompetent and then having the signature names of Damien Woody saying, I've been saying he's trash, and Joe Naman saying he shouldn't be allowed in the stadium, man, that would shake anybody's confidence.

[00:07:07]

And Mike Greenberg, I mean, don't leave him out. And you I didn't say it, Dan. I did not say it. I have a list of people who criticize Zach Wilson, and I am not on my own list, okay? But I'll tell you who is. I will tell you who is. Joe Namath on the list. He cannot root for the jets the rest of the way. He cannot root for Zach Wilson. He said things to a 24 year old that no one should say to a 24 year old. Namath, you cannot root for the jets ever again, okay? Mike Greenberg, you are second on that list. You cannot root for the jets the rest of the way. You can't do it. Damien Woody, you are third on that list. You cannot root for the jets ever again, not for the rest of this season. Mikey A, you are fourth on that list. Fourth on that not you criticized Zach Wilson. You still don't want Zach to be your quarterback. You cannot root for the jets the rest of the way. And finally, my wife, Abby, she has been ripping Zach Wilson nonstop for at least four weeks.

[00:08:06]

And now, all of a sudden, oh, I feel good for Zach Wilson. What a great story. Abby, zip it up.

[00:08:14]

I hate the all in quarterback nature of NFL analysis, because we're giving Zach Wilson the defense and Breeze Hall's glory. Because anytime Breeze Hall is fed, you get results. Remember, he was an MVP candidate by the time he got hurt last year. You would be so pissed off at Zach Wilson if that defense didn't intercept that ball at the end of the game because you realize that your quarterback once again gave you nothing.

[00:08:40]

Yeah, but we won.

[00:08:41]

Mike Stu got said. Joe NamUs said things that you shouldn't ever say to a 24 year old. What are things you can't say to a 24 year old?

[00:08:49]

I'll start rent this car.

[00:08:53]

Things you can have your own health insurance.

[00:08:58]

I don't believe that our game plan in sending I believe it's. 20 to 25 people to Los Angeles was to break down Zach Wilson ad nausea.

[00:09:09]

That's what we're doing around here, dude.

[00:09:12]

Talking about him like he's his son.

[00:09:15]

I love him.

[00:09:16]

I don't hate it.

[00:09:17]

We beat the Eagles. We beat the Eagles. I called my daughter to celebrate, okay?

[00:09:22]

But where the bar is, I do think it's fair to say that the bar on Zach Wilson is can you please not poop yourself in a way that loses us the game?

[00:09:31]

That's it.

[00:09:32]

That's where the bar is. Can you get over this low of a bar, which is don't be publicly incompetent in a way that loses us the football game because of you and only you.

[00:09:42]

So brave, courageous. What are you guys doing in La. Can you set the scene for us? I mean, no one's getting us ready for the Charger game tonight.

[00:09:51]

Mike wandered around La and was super disappointed at just the general indifference about football out here.

[00:09:57]

I had to remind someone Saturday, I had to remind someone that the Rams were both playing in Los Angeles and on the TV at that time. It's just not a great NFL town at all. But I'm excited to see a bunch of Dallas Cowboys fans tonight inject some atmosphere into SoFi Stadium. For me, the draw isn't so much the game as it is that stadium, because it's one of the best stadiums, if not the best stadium, in America.

[00:10:23]

Have you been to a game there?

[00:10:23]

I've been to a WrestleMania there.

[00:10:25]

That's almost the same thing.

[00:10:27]

I mean, no, it's not. One's a showcase of the immortals, but.

[00:10:30]

Again, why are you guys out there? Is it for the big sit down with Sedano? What's going on here?

[00:10:36]

Sedano wouldn't come to us, so we've got Jorge Sedano, like, on Thursday this week. Mike Golick Jr.

[00:10:45]

We had it today and I didn't have to go anywhere.

[00:10:48]

You beat us to the Mike Golick, Jr. Story.

[00:10:51]

I'm going to have George on tomorrow.

[00:10:55]

Mike was terrified. Stu gott's terrified that today you would beat him to the take that he wants to give you before you can beat him to this take. So go ahead, Mike, give it to him so he can't take it tomorrow.

[00:11:07]

We're going to explore this on tomorrow's show.

[00:11:09]

I might still take it, Mike.

[00:11:10]

I'm just I was looking at today's rundown as it was happening, praying to God you wouldn't take my take. What's the one thing that has plagued the Chicago Bears for the entirety of that franchise's history?

[00:11:24]

Quarterback.

[00:11:25]

Right, but mainly quarterback.

[00:11:33]

Check this out.

[00:11:34]

The Chicago Bears should draft Caleb Williams and Drake May.

[00:11:38]

Wow, Mike.

[00:11:39]

They should draft them both. One of them's bound to solve the problem.

[00:11:43]

Look at how delighted he is. No, I'm upset he tickled Stu Gotts, but he's also angry that he didn't think of it first. He's saying have them compete because he can't stop talking about how good Drake May was in person in North Carolina when he had his heart broken this weekend. He said Drake May is the best quarterback he's ever seen in person on the college level.

[00:12:01]

What I plan against Miami, I've seen Tebow, I saw Burrow before he hit his side that following year in LSU. I've seen Jamis Winston. Drake May was awesome last year against Miami. The year over year improvement is mind boggling. That is the best quarterback I've ever seen in person play against the University of Miami. And I don't think it's cut and dry that Caleb Williams should be the number one, which is to say Chicago draft both of them. One of them is bound to be amazing.
