And then there's people who will make, like, these, like, wooden, like, frames and show the depths of the lake. It's just anything that's really, like, handcrafted or unique. How's everyone doing?

[00:02:39]

Amazing.

[00:02:39]

Amazing.

[00:02:40]

My family's in town, three of my sisters and all of their kids. So all of rivers girl cousins are here. It's like the first time, she's like, we're like, all playing together, you know? It's so cute. But I've come to realize that my nieces have a very different childhood than I had to the point of like, well, it's just like the stuff they're into, the eleven year old twins, they're wanting to go shopping. I'm like, okay, well, like, what stores are you into? And they were like, lululemon, Sephora, they like, did heatless curls. They have a skincare routine.

[00:03:13]

That's my little sister.

[00:03:14]

And I'm like, what I was doing at eleven, like, I. No, they are doing a skincare routine. Me at eleven. Like, I was clocked in, I was working. I was teaching my class. I was in my basement wearing my mom's heels, using an expo marker on the tv, talking to absolutely fucking nobody. And I was teaching, I was working nine to five, I was clocked in. And these kids are like, let's go to Lululemon and like, let's get drunk.

[00:03:42]

Elephant products dollar 85 moisturizer.

[00:03:45]

It's crazy.

[00:03:45]

That's just gonna damage your skin, babe.

[00:03:46]

Absolutely not. For our.

[00:03:47]

It's crazy.

[00:03:48]

No offense to yours.

[00:03:49]

No, but no, it's every kid that age, that's what it is.

[00:03:53]

Wrong and inappropriate. That's fucking crazy. What is going on?

[00:03:56]

It's like ten year olds don't have an awkward phase anymore. Like, we really had, like, the. We were so excited about getting, like, colors on our braces and, like, putting together dance from NSyNC.

[00:04:04]

That's not okay. Yeah, 1213 year olds should not be, like, worrying about skincare routines.

[00:04:09]

Yeah, I do think skincare is good, but the drunken elephant, I'm like, y'all can skip that. Like, why are you paying that much?

[00:04:16]

We're doing this. We're doing this. CV's. My mom would take us. Take us to CV's.

[00:04:20]

Neutrogena.

[00:04:21]

That's what I'm saying.

[00:04:21]

Yeah.

[00:04:22]

Clean and clear.

[00:04:23]

Not even target. Are you kidding? CV's okay. The drugstore. Like, just whatever. That's what I was getting. Yeah. I was getting makeup wipes.

[00:04:32]

I was burning my skin. Off with oxygen pads.

[00:04:35]

I'm fully prepared for our daughter to scream and shout and tell us how much we don't give her.

[00:04:42]

They're using eyelash serums. I'm like, this is crazy. But honestly, at the same time, kind of fun. If me and river are like, no. If me and river are doing our skincare routine together, it's kind of fun.

[00:04:54]

You should tell them they have baby skin so they don't need the skincare. Yeah, we do it to get their skin.

[00:04:59]

Yeah. I've seen Sephora employees literally have to tell twelve year olds, being like, you really shouldn't put this on your skin. It's really bad for you. You haven't even fully developed yet. Like, inappropriate. How are you anti aging? You haven't aged yet.

[00:05:11]

Sierra has a point, too, because they're skipping. Like, they don't need to glow up.

[00:05:14]

Yeah, they're getting older. I mean, everyone's getting older, but, like, yeah, they're.

[00:05:20]

What is it?

[00:05:20]

Expediting the process.

[00:05:22]

That's not. For some people, not even puberty.

[00:05:25]

It's just crazy. I was like this, but that's just like, some of them. Like, one of my other nieces, she's not into any of that. And she just likes to, like, how old is she? Ten. She's a year younger than them. And she's just not, you know, it's just crazy, the, like, difference. And I'm like, I wonder where River's gonna fall.

[00:05:42]

And, like, I can tell you where she's gonna fall.

[00:05:44]

But, like, I also think it would be so fun to do, like, let's do our ice cream.

[00:05:51]

Don't be so.

[00:05:51]

But I think they do. I think they should make, like, yo. Because I think kids are into this type of stuff.

[00:05:57]

And, like, every. Every, like, boy, like, when, you know, like, would use their. I remember shaving with my dad when I was, like, eight, and he either gave me, like, a razor, like a fake razor, or, like, something that looked like a razor, and then I would put, like, shaving cream shirt. Do that with your. Do that with your kids. Like, it's fake. Put, like, I don't know, something that's not, you know, $85 or not even made for kids on their skin or actually have a routine. They can fuck around with mom, but they don't need to actually think that something going on.

[00:06:28]

Where is the fanta chapstick?

[00:06:31]

That's lip smackers.

[00:06:33]

What? I was using doctor pepper. Doctor pepper lip smackers.

[00:06:38]

That did. That sufficed. Yeah. Okay.

[00:06:40]

They use Dior now.

[00:06:41]

Yeah.

[00:06:42]

It is crazy out of their lululemon pouches.

[00:06:45]

And it's also just like. I mean, it's different, I think, with me. But one of them, the oldest one, was nervous to order at the table and was like, mom, I want the spaghetti. Because I think a lot of kids in that generation are on, like, iPads or whatever at a table, and so they're just, like, forced to not socialize with anyone. And so it's, like, uncomfortable when they don't have the iPad. They don't know how to socialize. It's crazy.

[00:07:12]

Well, I mean, they go to school.

[00:07:13]

Yeah.

[00:07:14]

Oh, yeah.

[00:07:14]

And they all play sports. They're all, like, super out there. But I think it's just like, yeah, maybe in restaurants. I feel like it's probably different. I mean, my mom would be like, go check out. Like, here's my credit card. Go check out.

[00:07:24]

Yeah, no, I mean, it's a. It's a. It's a problem where their kids are. Have lost their independence, whether it's. They're being raised by iPads or parents or being, like, too helicoptery, you know, like, it's. It's a. It's a growing problem. Not our daughter, though.

[00:07:40]

Yeah.

[00:07:40]

I feel like if I was your niece, I'd be, like, on a horse every day.

[00:07:42]

Well, that is one of them.

[00:07:43]

Yeah, like, that one, but that's also.

[00:07:45]

Like, that's on a farm, you know, with no one else. You know, she's an only child.

[00:07:51]

Yeah.

[00:07:51]

And so, yeah, she gets on a horse, and she, like, what? Goes out into the woods? And it's like, yeah, I would die for that.

[00:07:57]

Hey, Snow White.

[00:07:58]

Well, we have a great, great episode today. We have Jen Tran, your current bachelorette, with us later in the episode, excited to talk with her. Lots of burning questions. Obviously, we were in mid season form. She's got an old boyfriend showing up. Does she keep them? Does she not? Does she like any of these men? Again, lots of questions. But, Jen, on a very sad note. Hailey Merck passed away. Hayley was on my season of the Bachelor. She left week two. I didn't really get to know her very well at all, but I do, like, I very much vividly remember her, and I remember her to be very sweet and kind, and it's just very tragic. I mean, she struggled with a very tough battle of leukemia, it sounds like, and recently passed away. So our love and hearts go out to her family, who are obviously going through it. It sound like she really put up a very courageous fight, and unfortunately, she's with us no more. But very sad to see that she passed, and we're definitely praying for her and her family. We also have Janae and Kenny's episode of going deeper that dropped yesterday.

[00:08:55]

I feel like everyone in the world has already listened to it, but if you haven't, it is a very fun, very sweet episode. It's a love fest, really. I mean, really believe it in those two. As I always say, relationships of all kinds are very hard to make work. And so who knows what the future holds for any of these couples. But I believe in their, their shot. Like, they have a real shot. And I'm really excited for them. They're, they're great people. So make sure to check out that episode if you haven't already. All right, let's get into household headlines. Well, the us women's gymnastics teams popped off again.

[00:09:24]

Got a gold.

[00:09:25]

Do they always get cold?

[00:09:27]

I think we're pretty damn good.

[00:09:28]

Yeah, they're good.

[00:09:29]

Yeah, we pretty much dominate gymnastics.

[00:09:31]

Oh, we.

[00:09:31]

Oh, yeah.

[00:09:32]

No, well, they represent, as I'm wearing.

[00:09:34]

A Paris, but yes, we, they represent us.

[00:09:38]

Yeah. So it is. We, we did really good on the ball and we worked really hard and I'm just really proud of us.

[00:09:46]

Yeah. Yeah. Simone did great. They all did great.

[00:09:50]

They all did great.

[00:09:51]

There is some drama going on over in the gymnastics, though. I know, because Mikayla Skinner, she's an Olympic silver medalist. Before their version of the Olympics happened, on a YouTube video, she said, but besides Simone, I feel like the talent in depth just isn't what it used to be. I mean, obviously, a lot of girls won't work as hard. The girls just don't have the work ethic.

[00:10:09]

She's trying to say that because they have Simone, they don't have to work as hard.

[00:10:12]

No, they're just saying, besides Simone, like, nobody actually, like, she's good anymore.

[00:10:16]

When did she say this?

[00:10:16]

She said this in a YouTube video that's now been deleted.

[00:10:19]

How long ago?

[00:10:19]

Before. Before we won.

[00:10:21]

Did you see Simone's caption?

[00:10:22]

So then. Yeah. So Simone posted and she captioned, lack of talent, lazy ozempic champions, heart emoji, Olympic.

[00:10:31]

Freudian slip. You're watching too much housewives.

[00:10:34]

Lack of talent, lazy Olympic champions, period.

[00:10:37]

Yeah, well, you know, didn't she apologize?

[00:10:41]

Yeah, she did. She did. But she had to.

[00:10:43]

Yeah.

[00:10:43]

Chelsea only got the Olympic.

[00:10:44]

That's an l. Was she at the Tokyo Olympics or when did she last compete? Yeah.

[00:10:51]

Michaela Skinner.

[00:10:52]

Yes.

[00:10:53]

Did she win gold, silver?

[00:10:55]

Silver.

[00:10:57]

You know how many gold Simone biles has?

[00:10:59]

882-4024 something like that.

[00:11:03]

It's in the twenties. It might even be approaching 30.

[00:11:05]

No, it's 23. And then they just won gold again. So 24. If I'm doing my math correct.

[00:11:10]

No, when they were. When they.

[00:11:11]

How many gold medals or how many medals in general?

[00:11:13]

This is her fifth gold.

[00:11:14]

How many medals in general? It said it on.

[00:11:17]

She's only won five gold.

[00:11:18]

She's got 23 world gold medals and then six world gold.

[00:11:22]

Oh. So every year they compete at the world championships. The Olympics is only ever every four years. Either way, she's really good.

[00:11:29]

Yeah, I know she's good.

[00:11:30]

You can tell, like, when she wins, she's, like, really happy for her teammates because it's almost as if she's, you know, this is there before.

[00:11:38]

Simone Biles, 8th Olympic medal.

[00:11:40]

8Th Olympic medal.

[00:11:41]

She's got 24 medals.

[00:11:43]

And then fifth gold.

[00:11:44]

Fifth gold.

[00:11:45]

Yeah.

[00:11:45]

Wow.

[00:11:46]

Either way, very good.

[00:11:48]

She's collecting.

[00:11:49]

She's impressive. The whole team was impressive. SUNY Lee, like, Auburn Tiger. Amazing. I mean, I just, like, watching uneven bars is one of my favorite Olympic events that happen. And it's just so crazy watching these people just swing their bodies like full on pendulums. And then I also watched a couple people fall in, like, training, and I was like, what would that even feel like?

[00:12:08]

You see the brazilian girl who fell on her face and then got back up and then did the routine. Well, she can't get back up right away. She's over her face. Absolute stud.

[00:12:16]

I'm, like, wild. So impressive.

[00:12:18]

Did you see the video of right after they got their golden. I think it was SUNY and Simone were like, what tick tock dances are you doing? I'm going to do this TikTok dance. I'm going to do this TikTok dance. And people were like, how iconic is it to, like, win an olympic gold and be like, let me shoot a tick tock?

[00:12:32]

Yeah. Never done that. No. That is crazy. That's acting as if, you know.

[00:12:36]

Right.

[00:12:37]

Like, they've then been there before. Also, the women's rugby team. I really supported my women's rugby. Did you see the finish of that?

[00:12:45]

No.

[00:12:46]

You should have. It was amazing. They were down twelve, 5 seconds left. Seconds. And then the ball. I don't know, the football, the foosball, whatever they. The rugby ball. There's probably a name for it. They were on the other side of the field, and then there was like. And then someone broke away and ran all the way through, like, to the other end at the very last second and won. And they won the bronze medal.

[00:13:07]

Remember when Auburn did that to win the national championship?

[00:13:10]

It was very much like that. It was like, auburn's gonna win the football game. Yeah. It was like a last second miracle play for the bronze medal. And then, like, the australian women's, like, you felt bad? Cause it's like they were crying, just bawling their eyes out, while the women were just, like, cheering and celebrate the us women. Rather pretty cool.

[00:13:27]

Congratulations. You asked for killing it.

[00:13:29]

Were you watching pummel horse?

[00:13:31]

Uh, no, but I did see that guy who's everyone loves because he's, like, meditated for 4 hours and then dominated on the puma horse.

[00:13:37]

How do we know it was 4 hours? There was a camera on him for 4 hours. Or.

[00:13:39]

That's what they said. That's what the Internet says. The Internet's never wrong.

[00:13:43]

Never wrong. Never, never, never. And y'all believe that?

[00:13:46]

Yeah.

[00:13:47]

I will say there was an olympian athlete, gianmarco from Italy, who lost his wedding ring while waving the flag on the boats. Did you see that?

[00:13:54]

I heard about it.

[00:13:55]

And then he posted on his Instagram to his wife, basically saying, I'm sorry, my love. I'm terrible. I'm terribly sorry.

[00:14:00]

But, like, just, like, call her. Why are we.

[00:14:02]

Yeah, he posted, like, on Twitter.

[00:14:04]

He was on Instagram? Yeah. But I'm curious, like, what would you do if one of you guys lost the ring?

[00:14:08]

I wouldn't communicate that via social media, through Instagram, to Natalie.

[00:14:13]

Yeah. Yeah. I mean, it would be. I would be crushed. It would be very sad.

[00:14:17]

I feel like I'd be more mad.

[00:14:19]

If Natalie lost the ring or if you lost your own ring.

[00:14:22]

If Natalie lost her ring? Yeah. I mean, mine's not worth as much.

[00:14:27]

You know, the diamond.

[00:14:30]

That'd be mad.

[00:14:31]

But, like, that's what I was also wondering. I'm like, is it, like, a family heirloom? Is it something that, like, can't. No, not yours. About.

[00:14:38]

Well, her band is.

[00:14:40]

Yeah, that's what I'm saying. That, like, Gene Marco's ring or whatever. I was like, I wonder if he's so concerned about wanting to show how concerned he is, because maybe it is like a family or a loom or something that can't be readily replaced. But for the most part, I'm like, don't you guys put insurance on your rings?

[00:14:54]

Probably should.

[00:14:55]

No. Well, Nick.

[00:14:56]

Yeah, no, he keeps forgetting. Did y'all see that the triathlon was postponed because there's fecal matter in the sin.

[00:15:06]

The river. In the river.

[00:15:07]

The river.

[00:15:07]

How do we say it?

[00:15:08]

The sun.

[00:15:09]

The sin? Yeah.

[00:15:09]

Postponed.

[00:15:10]

Why not? Canceled? Relocated.

[00:15:13]

Honestly, I was shocked that the mayor actually got in the water to began to begin with. I thought it was an actual impossibility for them to be able to filter the sun to the point that people could swim and not get some sort of bacterial disease.

[00:15:28]

This was an issue. They were criticized since they announced it.

[00:15:30]

Why is it so dirty? I mean, are they just pumping?

[00:15:32]

I'm pretty positive it's like sewage.

[00:15:34]

Like, it just funnels into there. A lot of parisian people won't swim in it, like, for generations. They're like, that's not clean. We know it's not clean. But then the mayor made a point to swim in it herself because they were doing.

[00:15:44]

Yeah, they were clearing it out, supposedly. I was there in May. I saw no attempt of, like, river being shut down for them to, like, clean it. And as I said, they constantly have riverboat tours and people live off of boats on the sun.

[00:15:57]

Are there other bodies of water in the greater Paris area where they could compete?

[00:16:02]

Well, I'm like, even though where they're doing rowing right now, it's like a bit northern from, like, northern France. But I'm like, there are other bodies of water. Absolutely, absolutely.

[00:16:12]

But I did see that they did start it, so wherever I did, they go.

[00:16:17]

What do you mean they started?

[00:16:18]

I saw videos of them jumping in and swimming.

[00:16:21]

Are you talking about the mayor or are you talking about, like, athletes?

[00:16:25]

Athletes, yeah.

[00:16:26]

So it wasn't postponed or it was postponed and now they're doing it and.

[00:16:28]

Now they've either found a new location or they felt like it was clean.

[00:16:32]

Enough or I'm asking, has anybody heard from their mayor, like, since she's jumped in?

[00:16:38]

She's down bad.

[00:16:39]

She's an X Men now. She's turned into a mutant.

[00:16:42]

Like, what is going on?

[00:16:43]

That sounds like the beginning of a comic book.

[00:16:45]

They're still swimming in it. So, like, it was postponed, but then they went ahead and was like, you can go ahead and green light it.

[00:16:49]

Oh, I'm okay.

[00:16:51]

Yeah, like, you're coming up out of this water and you're opening your mouth to get some air to come back down. Water is going in your mouth. How are we signing olympic athletes up to possibly get infections?

[00:17:04]

There was a water test they did, like, a month ago that showed it was clear, though.

[00:17:07]

Oh, clear enough.

[00:17:08]

Clear enough.

[00:17:08]

Clear enough a month ago, though.

[00:17:10]

Yeah. Well, so I guess they gave up.

[00:17:13]

Yeah. I'm like, by then, are we rerouting sewage? Are we? I don't know. I'm so confused about the plans and how that works out, but I will be watching.

[00:17:22]

Did you see that Gen Z slang was officially added to the Cambridge dictionary?

[00:17:26]

I did not see that.

[00:17:27]

Why not? Merriam Webster.

[00:17:28]

She's still thinking. Okay, she's marinating on that idea.

[00:17:31]

Okay. She's like, I don't know about that.

[00:17:33]

I don't know my dictionary. Fuck that.

[00:17:37]

So basically they added the ickley boop. If you know, you know, face, journey, chef's kiss, speedrun, inside quest.

[00:17:45]

Wait, I don't.

[00:17:45]

Wait, wait. Why does Gen Z get credit for Chef's kiss?

[00:17:48]

There's that. I have a question. How are. I thought the whole thing about dictionaries is that it gives you the definition of a word, not a term. These are two face, journey, chef's kiss. These are two words that you would.

[00:17:59]

Yeah, this is giving. Urban dictionary.

[00:18:00]

Urban dictionary again, back to, like, I feel like Chef's kiss has been around for a minute.

[00:18:05]

A thousand person.

[00:18:06]

That's it.

[00:18:07]

A movement in which you put your fingers and thumb together, kiss them, then pull your hand away from your lips as a way of showing that you think that something or someone is perfect or excellent.

[00:18:15]

Yeah, I'm sorry, Gen Z.

[00:18:16]

So they're defining, like, the.

[00:18:18]

No, it's the movie.

[00:18:19]

I'll give you ick.

[00:18:20]

They're defining the verb of Shaftskus. Like, just Shovskis, like the hand to the mouth and then, like the.

[00:18:25]

No, no, I get it. But, like, I feel like that's what it always was.

[00:18:29]

So when you put a your fingers together and then you put them to your lips. Yes, yes.

[00:18:35]

Oh, right.

[00:18:36]

Chef's kiss.

[00:18:38]

But yeah, ick. For sure. You can have that. What's the boop boop, boop, boop.

[00:18:42]

So boop is a gentle hit or touch on a person or animal's nose.

[00:18:45]

Or what Leah did to Connor on Love island.

[00:18:48]

It's like a poop.

[00:18:49]

Gen Z invented that too.

[00:18:51]

Were you saying it in 1990?

[00:18:52]

I feel like it's been done. I felt like every parent's done it to their baby, for sure.

[00:18:56]

Yeah, but we weren't saying, oh, boop.

[00:18:58]

You guys were just booping. Yeah, we named it.

[00:19:01]

You're welcome.

[00:19:05]

Meanwhile, new study finds that women need more sleep than men because they use their brains more throughout the day. Thoughts?

[00:19:12]

Anything you want to say?

[00:19:13]

You do sleep more. Um. You guys are smarter than us, you know?

[00:19:20]

Yeah.

[00:19:21]

Invisible labor, the behind the scenes conception, that planning of tasks that keep the family and home afloat. Whatever it is, a woman's brain is working, and they need approximately 20 more minutes of sleep because of it, according to a study from Lowenburg University. The Sleep foundation reports that nearly half of all women get less than the recommended 7 hours of sleep per night due to stress, hormonal changes, caregiving and.

[00:19:42]

More caregiving, aka baby.

[00:19:44]

That's why I wake up early in feed river and let Nellie sleep in the morning.

[00:19:48]

That's nice.

[00:19:49]

20 minutes. There you go.

[00:19:50]

There's her 20 minutes. She gets at least a half hour more.

[00:19:53]

All I need is 20.

[00:19:54]

I can't tell you the last time I got 7 hours of sleep.

[00:19:56]

What are you doing in the middle of the night?

[00:19:58]

Not so much what I'm doing in the middle of the night. I'm just like, typically five, 6 hours.

[00:20:02]

What time are you going to bed?

[00:20:03]

It depends. Sometimes 930, sometimes 1030. I just wake up.

[00:20:08]

What's four in the morning?

[00:20:08]

My body clock. When I wake up, I'm up. There's no going back to sleep for me. My brain is processing. I'm thinking the whole time. And if I think I felt fallen asleep, I'll look at the clock and spend 40 minutes.

[00:20:21]

If you're usually going to bed around 1030 and you say you're not usually getting 7 hours, that means you're waking up around five ish every morning.

[00:20:28]

That sounds about right.

[00:20:29]

I will say I wake up at 630 and I always see Sierra's post and it's like an hour ago.

[00:20:33]

Yeah. Good morning.

[00:20:35]

You are up.

[00:20:36]

Yeah.

[00:20:37]

Damn.

[00:20:38]

I feel like that's when you should get up. So that way you could like, get your workout done for the day. Come home, feed rip, wake up river. Feed river. Take care of river and then I'll get up.

[00:20:49]

Oh, sure, yeah.

[00:20:50]

Just throwing that idea out there.

[00:20:52]

Can workshop it.

[00:20:52]

Yeah, we could. Yeah. Well, converse. We'll go back and forth about it.

[00:20:56]

Wait, did you guys see the TikTok viral video of women with fake pregnancy bellies dancing or, sorry, clubbing?

[00:21:01]

I've deleted my TikTok. Oh, yeah.

[00:21:03]

Good for you.

[00:21:04]

Thank you. Well, it's been such a mental cleanse, let me tell you.

[00:21:07]

Has it?

[00:21:07]

Yeah. I feel like everyone needs to go. It's like it was a crazy addiction. Like, I would sit there and river would be beside me and I'd be like, it was so bad. And I was. No, she's like, mom, mom, mom, mom. Ignoring her. So, yeah, so I deleted it a few months ago. And it's been like the best thing that's ever happened to me. But anyways, please keep me up to date.

[00:21:26]

I think you would enjoy this one. I also haven't been on TikTok in a minute, but, like, once you know, it's made it to Instagram, you know? Okay. It's viral.

[00:21:32]

It's viral.

[00:21:32]

Yeah.

[00:21:33]

So I made it to Instagram, and basically, like, two girls, like, probably in their late twenties, put on fake bellies and went out clubbing, and they were smoking cigarettes, taking shots, twerking, and they doubled down. So when people were like, you shouldn't be doing this, like, are you pregnant? They're like, I am pregnant, but I'm taking prenatal, so it's okay.

[00:21:50]

They were playing into the bit.

[00:21:51]

They're playing into the bit.

[00:21:52]

And what is the response? Are people like, that's so funny, or are people like, literally fuck you?

[00:21:56]

It's fucked?

[00:21:57]

A little bit.

[00:21:58]

It's a little fucked. Yeah. But it's both responses. You have the support that are like, this is so funny. And then there's people like, it's. Why?

[00:22:03]

Like, because if you're out at a club and you see someone, presumably pregnant, drinking, you almost feel like you should say something. But at the same time, you ask yourself, is it any of our business or whatever? And then to end up all being bullshit, it's kind of like you're setting someone up to really make a scene.

[00:22:20]

I mean, it's also. But it's also like, if you see someone out pregnant, drinking, smoking, whatever, and, like, you go up to them and you tell them, hey, you shouldn't do that. Like, I feel like that's probably not the first and only time they've done that. So you telling them, like, I guess maybe it'll help. But I also. They probably.

[00:22:40]

That's why it's fucked.

[00:22:41]

I will say the men in the video were twerking on the bellies. So you had woman being like, you need to stop.

[00:22:46]

And then the men found out.

[00:22:47]

Maybe.

[00:22:47]

Yeah, I would assume so. Yeah. I'm like, I'm sure after, like, a couple people coming up, you're like, it's a joke, but, like, let's have fun. And they're filming it for the Internet. And I'm like, people do way more nefarious things as jokes for a couple views on the Internet.

[00:23:00]

Like, Jax Taylor.

[00:23:02]

It's fake.

[00:23:03]

You think so? Gotta be so for the audience. Jax Taylor is going to inpatient treatment for his mental health.

[00:23:08]

I first. My first reaction was good for him.

[00:23:11]

Inpatient means that he's going to a facility.

[00:23:14]

Yeah, he's there.

[00:23:14]

Yeah, he's checked in.

[00:23:15]

He's checked in. He's not. It's not like going to therapy once a day, Morgan.

[00:23:19]

It depends. I'm like, I don't know if it's for a storyline or I'm like, how bad was filming this past season that you've actually had a moment of self realization that maybe you do need to check on yourself?

[00:23:28]

I hate even questioning its authenticity. But we know they are filming the valley right now.

[00:23:32]

Yeah.

[00:23:33]

You know, and it's. We wouldn't put it past Jax Taylor.

[00:23:36]

To make a storyline.

[00:23:37]

Do it for the bit. Yeah, yeah.

[00:23:40]

It's like if we see this when the season comes out and there's cameras in this facility and he's being, like, interviewed by his therapist or whatever, it's like, do we.

[00:23:49]

If this is a storyline on the show, then I question it's authentic.

[00:23:52]

Cameras inside?

[00:23:54]

Yeah.

[00:23:55]

Yeah. So I hope it's like, as a.

[00:23:57]

Fan, do I hope he's getting help?

[00:23:59]

Well, no, as a fan of the show, you know, I'm intrigued to see this part, but knowing, I don't know, it's just, I don't want it to be part of the show because I feel like it will.

[00:24:09]

How long has he been there? Do we know?

[00:24:10]

I don't know.

[00:24:11]

I think he just checked in. The story came out yesterday.

[00:24:14]

I mean, he has already posted on his Instagram story with a caption saying healing.

[00:24:18]

This is around the same time.

[00:24:20]

It's kind of giving one.

[00:24:22]

His rep said he has made the decision to seek inpatient treatment. This is a particularly sensitive time for him and his family. They ask for privacy and respect until he is ready to speak more.

[00:24:31]

While he's posting social saying healing.

[00:24:33]

I do think he posted that before he went, though. So I think it was like he was having some crisis.

[00:24:37]

He was reading some self help books.

[00:24:39]

He posted about it and then spun out and then went to patient hope.

[00:24:43]

He's getting the help that he needs.

[00:24:44]

Absolutely.

[00:24:45]

Off camera.

[00:24:46]

Yeah, if it's on camera.

[00:24:48]

Because jocks is the queen of on camera therapy.

[00:24:50]

Yeah.

[00:24:51]

So.

[00:24:51]

But admitting to not really going to therapy on his own, so.

[00:24:54]

And then having this be a major storyline, you know, the same day he goes, it's press, you know?

[00:25:00]

That's true.

[00:25:01]

I just, like, you can hide that for a couple days the same way.

[00:25:04]

That they hid the separation for months. Like, that wasn't something Jackson wanted to get out.

[00:25:10]

I just struggle to believe anything that comes out of his mouth.

[00:25:13]

Yeah.

[00:25:13]

So.

[00:25:14]

But I hope. I hope he's getting it.

[00:25:16]

Has to. I have to see, you know, the actions speak louder than words. I have to see that he's there and he's working on himself, and he comes out and he's learned and he's a changed man. Like, I need to see all that before I believe and root for Jax Taylor in front of me right now. I, like, feel like he needs to be held accountable to be a better husband and father and man and friend.

[00:25:38]

It does make me wonder if they're filming the valley. Like, does he just disappear the rest of the season? Like, if it's genuine, like, he needs help. Like, he must disappear. Right.

[00:25:45]

If he's genuinely going to inpatient therapy, that's intense, right? You know, someone's really obviously struggling if that's what they require to get help. So it would make no sense for him to continue filming this show or come back next. You know what I'm saying? Like, if it's that severe that requires him to go to this inpatient facility, then he has no business being on the set of a reality tv show. Like, the mental health toll it takes for anyone to go on reality tv. I don't care what the format is. It's intense, you know? And you don't need to be a doctor or therapist, you know? Oh, you're struggling with your mental health. Yeah. So what do you talk about your day to day? Oh, I filmed a reality tv show. Well, you could stop that. There you go. Step one.

[00:26:29]

Yeah.

[00:26:30]

You know, I. You know, I hate questioning it, but as we, like, we just. It's Jax Taylor, but Zachary.

[00:26:35]

I feel like the only reason I am sitting here questioning it is because we just saw last season him saying, I'm going to therapy, and Brittany being like, you've been fucking saying this, and, like, you're not doing it. Like, you don't take this serious. You don't mean it. This isn't who you are. Like, you're performing. You're doing this for the cameras. And I feel like if I hadn't have seen that, maybe I would feel, yeah. A little bit more inclined to, like, believe that this is genuine. But I don't know, it's just. I don't.

[00:27:00]

Well, wishing them the best, as Kayla Martin says.

[00:27:03]

Fuck.

[00:27:06]

Kayla Martin. No dummy has filed for a patent, right? Trademark. Potato. Potato.

[00:27:15]

Yeah.

[00:27:16]

Yeah. Did she get the trademark?

[00:27:17]

She has a trademark.

[00:27:18]

She has a trademark for fuck. How do you spell f?

[00:27:20]

Awk?

[00:27:21]

F a wk. It's good for her. Yeah, absolutely.

[00:27:26]

Yeah, that's. That was for her. I'm very glad that she took that into her own hands. And we're not seeing some random company selling her, like, the vial falls. Sure. Yeah. Yeah. I'm glad we're not doing that. I mean, but she. She put the categories for everything. I can't imagine. I mean, she's. It's underwear, shoes, sports caps and hats, sweatshirts, t shirts, beach footwear, sandals and beach shoes, sports jackets, track pants, swimsuits, lingerie, beach cover ups, footwear, namely, and flip flops.

[00:28:02]

I hope she makes a million dollars.

[00:28:03]

I do, too.

[00:28:04]

I do, too.

[00:28:06]

Can I say, when I saw the word lingery for, like, I didn't know this to, like, when you saw the word lingerie, I thought it was lingerie until, like, a year ago, and I realized, oh, that's the same word.

[00:28:16]

I. Honey, I know.

[00:28:18]

I mean, I'm not, like.

[00:28:18]

I thought there was lingerie and then, like, lingery, you know?

[00:28:20]

What did you think lingery was, like.

[00:28:23]

The classy way to say lingerie? Like, we can't spell lingerie on paper, so we have to say lingerie.

[00:28:29]

That sounds like something I would do.

[00:28:30]

Yeah.

[00:28:31]

So I'm glad you write it, right?

[00:28:33]

Hell, yeah.

[00:28:35]

Yes. Yes, Nick, that does sound like something you would do.

[00:28:39]

Pedro parks returning to Atlanta housewives.

[00:28:41]

Yay.

[00:28:42]

I'm excited about that.

[00:28:43]

Me, too. She's so funny.

[00:28:45]

It just makes sense. Like, Kenya had to leave for her to come back.

[00:28:48]

Mm hmm. And candy.

[00:28:50]

And candy.

[00:28:50]

Yeah.

[00:28:51]

Mostly candy.

[00:28:51]

Mostly candy, yeah.

[00:28:52]

Yeah.

[00:28:53]

And she's quitting being the married medicine, which I feel like it was time.

[00:28:57]

Yeah.

[00:28:58]

Is that show doing well?

[00:28:59]

Married to medicine? And I hear is it has a very underrated program.

[00:29:03]

Yeah.

[00:29:04]

Interesting.

[00:29:04]

It's been around for a minute. It has a following. I mean, she's rumored to be leaving because allegedly, one of the castmates brought her ex to Castro. And, like, her exit was leaving the show.

[00:29:14]

That is giving on script.

[00:29:16]

Exactly.

[00:29:17]

Giving.

[00:29:17]

Convenient for Atlanta.

[00:29:18]

This is giving. There's the door. Shannon Mador. There's the door.

[00:29:24]

[00:32:03]

I'm loving this season of OC.

[00:32:06]

Isn't it so good? We have to get into it.

[00:32:09]

Heather needs new friends. Yeah, Heather is miscast.

[00:32:12]

I said this last season. I was like, put her on Beverly Hills where she's by the same level of wealth.

[00:32:17]

It's a disservice to Heather. I can't, on one episode, watch her and her plastic surgery husband, Doctor debrow, remodel a house and just without blinking, talk about the $30 to $40 million it's going to cost. And on the very next episode, watch Heather sit around her poor friends who can't afford rent, who are being accused of being squatters.

[00:32:42]

It's crazy.

[00:32:43]

And it's like, it seems like everyone on the cast of OC, like, the cast of OC seems like a group of people who really want to be rich and they want to appear rich, and some of them might be rich, and there is certainly a ton of money in OC, but there's a lot of other people who, who present is rich and, like, they are really good at spending money. They also have as much debt as they have assets and things like that. Everyone's talking failed businesses from husband's not working, husband's not working. Tamara's talking about struggling with the gym, and then you have Gina struggling, and I don't know what's going on with her boyfriend that we can got to get into that. And then you have Heather sitting there being kind of eating Chex mix driving while her friends are talking about not being able to pay rent. And I don't think Heather should pay these people's rent. A but when you talk about having so much money, you kind of seem like a dick by not helping out your friends. And that's why I think, again, Heather just needs new friends. She's like, that's why you kind of, you can't hang out with people and be close with, like, people who are not on your level, because otherwise, it just either.

[00:33:47]

Either you're expected to pay for them, or you kind of seem like an out of touch, privileged, selfish person because, like, if $40 million that you're just, like, whatever with, like, you can't afford to help a friend out, you know, and pay their rent, who's clearly struggling. And again, it's weird. I don't think she should have to pay for it, but it's just like, why is she hanging out with these people? It makes no fucking sense.

[00:34:11]

You're onto it.

[00:34:11]

I want to see Heather be. I want to see her opulence. I want to see her just, like, dripping in money. It's great. But I don't want to see struggling.

[00:34:20]

Not in contrast with somebody who's getting.

[00:34:22]

Evicted, because, yeah, she's talking about not paying her rent. And Heather's just like. I'm like, Heather, you need to help her out. But at the same time, does she?

[00:34:30]

I don't. You know, like, you are onto something. I think OC has lost the plot. Yeah, because OC is the original housewives. It was the first one to ever exist, and it was actual housewives married to rich people living in a rich community. Now they're all divorced. Now they don't have money. And then Heather came in season seven, and now she's like, well, I have money. I'm still married.

[00:34:48]

But OC, so much money.

[00:34:49]

And OC is a really rich area, but they have the same people but not the money, so they've lost the plot. You're right.

[00:34:54]

Heather was originally on, like, everybody. Washington keeping up with the Joneses. So it's like, it wasn't like she was the outlier, being more so rich than anybody else. Everyone had. It was, like, married to, like, plastic surgeons, the whole. The whole nine. And now it's. Yeah, it's a lot of single housewives or trying to figure it out.

[00:35:11]

And that's why, to Sierra's point, people wanted to cross over to Beverly Hills, because it's like each franchise has their own, like, reputation. Like, Salt Lake City isn't all about the money. It's more about, like, the spoof of it, the characters, and, like, Heather's money. So she deserves to be Beverly Hills.

[00:35:23]

Even finding out that Heather and Sutton are such close friends, I'm like, that makes sense.

[00:35:27]

Yeah.

[00:35:27]

Sutton's making, what, 300,000 a month just off of alimony alone?

[00:35:31]

She's even more than that.

[00:35:33]

And she's got a clothing store, and she's traveling, like, you know what I mean? Like, those are your people. And yet I don't believe that you're friends with Emily. Sorry.

[00:35:41]

Katie's all upset because, like, Heather, you know, doesn't go out of her way to, like, make her feel welcome and warm. And I'm just like, yeah, because, like, Heather's out of your league.

[00:35:48]

Maybe she just didn't recognize you or know you.

[00:35:50]

If I'm Heather and I have that much wealth and privilege, and I would. I would keep things close to my vest, you know?

[00:35:56]

I will say it's a slap in the face for people that act like they don't know you. Like, if they met you more than once, and then they, like, are in public, and they, like, walk past. Don't even say anything.

[00:36:04]

One time, I did a full on photo shoot with a girl, and she, like, then, like, kind of blew up a little bit and, like, popped off and got a following and started, like, dating some people in the scene. And I ran into her somewhere, and I was like, oh, my gosh.

[00:36:18]

Hi.

[00:36:18]

How are you? And she was like, hi, my name is. And I was like, okay. Okay, bye.

[00:36:28]

We've all done that, though. And I guess my point is, you're the problem. I know I have, but that's the thing. It's just more like, it is rude. And, like, Heather hanging out with this cast is constantly gonna set her up for failure.

[00:36:43]

Mm hmm. You know, I'm saying she does seem out of touch. Like, it's like you've got one person talking about eviction, and then she's like, I couldn't find a referee shirt that wasn't made out of synthetic fabric. Don't worry. I wore something underneath it so it doesn't touch my skin, which I love.

[00:36:56]

It's a great line. It's so good.

[00:36:57]

That's housewives. That's what I want to watch on real housewives. And it's. It's. Yeah. What is going on with Gina and Travis?

[00:37:04]

Okay, so Travis has three children. Gina has three children. They have been living together, according to last episode, for four years. And Gina just started in real estate last season, so I guess her real estate career is kicking off.

[00:37:17]

She's making more money.

[00:37:18]

Making more money. Travis has an ex who I don't know if their divorce isn't fully settled or is constantly causing issues. So Gina, on her up and up, up. Feels like she should be allowed to provide for her kids, take them on vacations, the whole thing. I don't think she's prepared to take Travis and his children as well. So to make herself feel better, which is what she was saying, I'm selfish, or I'm choosing to be selfish, is that she wants to move out or have him move out with his kids so that she can focus on her family and not so much on his. But I'm also kind of like. She's also saying that she's doing it for the kids for more space and whatnot. And I'm like, I don't think that that seems like kind of a cop out, because at the end of the.

[00:37:55]

Day, which he called her out for. Yeah.

[00:37:57]

If you're gonna be a blended family, you're gonna be a blended family.

[00:38:00]

And she doesn't want to break up.

[00:38:01]

She doesn't want to break up, but.

[00:38:02]

She doesn't want to separate the family.

[00:38:03]

She doesn't want to break up, but she doesn't want to be under the same root of stuff. She doesn't want to handling stuff.

[00:38:08]

She doesn't want to be the mother to his children.

[00:38:11]

I think it's inherent or, like, subconscious.

[00:38:14]

Yeah. Like, if she's making this money, she's like, I don't want to spend this on his kids. I want to spend this on my.

[00:38:19]

Kids on a vacation for six kids and two adults, which is totally valid.

[00:38:25]

But also, if this is your partner.

[00:38:28]

Just opt in or opt out.

[00:38:29]

Yeah.

[00:38:30]

It's for better or for worse kind of situation to me, where I'm like, you're saying that your partner isn't in a good place right now, so it's easier for you guys to separate, but, like, we're still going to be in a relationship, but I'm just going to spend my money and do things separately outside of you. I'm also like, how do you think that's going to make the kids feel when this is all recorded and they can see why you chose to leave and then be like, maybe one day when your dad gets his stuff together, we can all move back together and be a happy family and go on vacation? Because I'm not the one paying for it, is what it comes off.

[00:38:58]

She wants him to make more money.

[00:38:59]

She wants him to make more money. She wants him to handle whatever his divorce situation is with the ex, which is apparently causing issues. I don't know what that actually means, but it seems like it's all monetary, in my opinion.

[00:39:11]

What is the lowest salary of a housewife? Do we know?

[00:39:14]

I would assume 200,000.

[00:39:16]

200,000 around that for a starting season. I don't. I feel like that. I feel like it's. That's even a lot.

[00:39:22]

Yeah, it's a lot for.

[00:39:24]

Definitely a lot.

[00:39:25]

Yeah. I was like, no, I mean, I don't know what they get away with from, like, adults, like, housewives versus, like, vanderpump rules, but Jen has not.

[00:39:34]

She doesn't. I think she's a partner to a yoga studio, and her. That's it.

[00:39:39]

And she's been on the show for a season.

[00:39:40]

What does a five star yoga studio mean? We're a five star yoga studio, but.

[00:39:45]

Our social media sucked.

[00:39:47]

Do you know how hard it was for me to find their social media? It was so hard.

[00:39:50]

It's probably all, but is this a self proclaimed five star yoga studio?

[00:39:54]

Yelp. Maybe they have some. Yeah, maybe some review ratings.

[00:39:57]

I will say the lowest salary I've seen is in, like, the 200,000. Okay, so we don't know specifically who the lowest or what the lowest is.

[00:40:04]

Is it, like, a thing for Bravo to make their talent appear poorer than they are? It's kind of bizarre.

[00:40:11]

Usually it's the other way around, like.

[00:40:15]

But, like, a recent. Like, a lot of the. I don't know.

[00:40:18]

I do think the definition of a real housewife is, like, redefining. So I think they're moving less away from, like, you need to be really rich and more about, like, characters. Characters. Yeah. So there's that part of it.

[00:40:28]

I want real rich, though.

[00:40:30]

Yeah, well, I want them to be real rich and be character. I mean, I think that comes with being real rich, because you don't. You have this sense of, like, you don't know how to act because you have so much money. You've never had to, like, be normal or struggle for anything. But, like. Yeah, I think that coincides. But, like. Like, this, it's. It's definitely interesting to see, like, Jen and Gina just talk about not having anything.

[00:40:56]

Yeah.

[00:40:57]

But I totally see, I mean, hell, Jen being, like, I married young. He took care of everything.

[00:41:03]

Like, no credit card.

[00:41:04]

I've never had a credit card in my name. Like, I know so many people who went down that path where you get married young, you just, like, the man steps in. He's got the job. He takes care of everything. You, you know, bear children. You take care of the children. You don't handle finances. There's no communication between finances. You're not a teammate. You're not partners. You just, like, he takes care of one thing, you take care of another, and then you divorce, and you're like, holy fuck, what is this world? And I've seen that happen to so many people. And so, like, I feel for Jen. I can't imagine, like, what she's going through right now. I wish she would go and get a job, maybe anywhere.

[00:41:43]

She's a housewife. It is kind of weird that is pretend that they're not making money.

[00:41:47]

Well, and also, she's kind of going back into the same thing with Brian.

[00:41:51]

Yeah.

[00:41:51]

Because now Ryan's the one, the breadwinner who has all of the money, and he was even. What did he say? He was like, you can take my car, and I'll just get myself a new one.

[00:41:58]

He took on her, what, $24,000 debt.

[00:42:02]

Then again, though, his money is, like, a mystery.

[00:42:04]

Yeah. She said he has to be a.

[00:42:05]

Thing in Orange county.

[00:42:06]

She said he doesn't have a job, and he doesn't work either. So where is his money coming from?

[00:42:13]

He does have a job, and I said that I was going to look into this more, so I did not.

[00:42:18]

Well, she said that he works in the sunshine.

[00:42:21]

No, but I mean, like, I know that he handles large sums of money. I don't know what he does if he's investing it. I don't know, because I know he got in trouble because he's also a gambler as well, so I don't really know. He could have, like, maybe just, like, hit a major jackpot in Vegas and was, like, cool retiree. I don't know.

[00:42:37]

But when it sounds like Jen will have money soon through her alimony divorce, like, that's her issue. Right.

[00:42:42]

I do think that that cleared. Yeah.

[00:42:43]

Anyway, it is sometimes hard for me to, like, buy into the on poor storyline with some of these housewives because it's, like, always, like, wait, like, how much is Bravo paying you? And, yes, listen, you can make $300,000 a year and be broke as fuck if you don't know how to, like, manage your money. And if you're trying to compete with the Heather bros of the world, it's pretty easy to go broke. So that that is entirely possible. But I don't know when. When she was talking about not being able for the rent, I just wanted heather just to kind of look at her and go, it sucks. I knew she wasn't gonna say.

[00:43:15]

Or if Heather just, like, gave her.

[00:43:19]

A check for, like, here's just one month. You're a good friend.

[00:43:21]

Just, like, $100,000 check was like, don't worry about it.

[00:43:25]

Seems like lunch for her.

[00:43:27]

Yeah, her, like, catered, like, nobu dinners that nobody gets to eat at.

[00:43:32]

Why were they playing flag football? I don't understand. That's just something I give him.

[00:43:35]

Something.

[00:43:35]

I think people love to see a housewife doing something dirty, like, way out of their.

[00:43:39]

Like, they definitely edited it to make it seem like they were tackling. Yeah. And, like, throwing 50 yard passes because they would toss it and then to be a separate shot, and then they would catch it.

[00:43:48]

No, there was one shot. There was one shot that they did make the pass. And I thought to myself, like, I can never do that.

[00:43:53]

It seemed like clever editing, actually, maybe.

[00:43:56]

You know better than me.

[00:43:57]

So the more I watch Oc, the more I'm team Shannon.

[00:44:01]

Yes. I was just gonna say Alexis drove me nuts this episode.

[00:44:06]

She wants to be Shannon the dog.

[00:44:09]

The dog is so weird.

[00:44:10]

It's so crazy.

[00:44:11]

That's crazy.

[00:44:12]

Like, that's two steps too far.

[00:44:13]

The trainer.

[00:44:14]

The trainer. Like, all of that stuff where I'm like, I get it. Jim took you to the gym. The dog.

[00:44:20]

That's the dog.

[00:44:22]

And even how she was acting, it just reminded me so much of just mean girls in high school kind of thing where, like, fake friends, where it's like, just so you know, we have sex fat time today. Just so you know. Like, Jim, I got, like, why you don't have to talk about it right now, but you're choosing to because you want to make her feel some type of way, and that. That, to me, is just gross.

[00:44:39]

I'm really loving Shannon. I know she's an imperfect person, but we all are, and she really seems like she's, you know, doing her best to just figure it out. Yeah.

[00:44:48]

Why is Tamra being such a bitch.

[00:44:50]

To Shannon every season? Every season, Tamra to somebody.

[00:44:54]

I remember, like, that was last week, but she called her, like, a bad person.

[00:44:57]

They were best friends, like, since the start because they're ogs. But then they were trace amigos, so they had a podcast together, and then that was a whole thing. And then, like, tamra is now alleging that, like, at trace amigos, like, events, Shannon was, like, pouring drinks into her drinks. Like, alcohol into her drinks. So she just. Tamra's just like, a. What is the word? Like, fake friend.

[00:45:15]

Yeah. Tamara brought Jen on last season to throw her under the bus and say she doesn't have money and that she's pretending to be rich. And it's like, why'd you bring her on here? Like, tore apart her relationship with Ryan, and it's like that you brought her on, as well.

[00:45:27]

She seems to be team Alexis, which immediately, I'm like. Like, hmm.

[00:45:30]

Tamara's also a good soundbite, so I feel like Tamra will say whatever to, like, make the show.

[00:45:34]

No, no. Tamra's a great housewife.

[00:45:36]

Yeah, for sure. Tamra's at least arena of OC.

[00:45:39]

Yeah.

[00:45:39]

We're like. She's like the soap opera. I'm gonna, like, burn the bridges to, like, make the story, but then, like, hurt my friends in the.

[00:45:45]

I hate this person. In the beginning of the season, by the end of the season, they're my best friends.

[00:45:48]

Yeah. Also, in Shannon's defense, Sierra and I saw, like, the papers that she was served, and Alexis is named on it as an interested party. So.

[00:45:56]

So Shannon did not lie.

[00:45:58]

We don't know. We don't know that she was on the initial paper. Paper that served her, but she was listed in the court case.

[00:46:03]

I feel like you owe her an apology, Alexis. Sorry. How common are boudoir shoots still today?

[00:46:11]

They must be common.

[00:46:12]

Like, I know it was, like, a thing that you did before you got married, and it was like, a wedding gift to your husband was, like, this photo album of sexy photos. I don't know. I mean, I did not do that for Nick. I'm sorry. I don't know if you were hoping for one.

[00:46:27]

Oh, no. They charge thousands of dollars for those, too.

[00:46:30]

Yeah, it's great.

[00:46:32]

But that's what I was gonna say, too, is, like, I've never understood the concept of it, because I'm like, at the end of the day, you sleep with this person. They see you naked on a regular. Why would they need a book of you in lingerie? To be like, oh, thank God I got. She's out of town. I got this.

[00:46:46]

Do you think they pull out the, like, photo album instead of, like, pornhub?

[00:46:50]

Well, I just.

[00:46:51]

Genuine question.

[00:46:52]

As the lone straight man in this room.

[00:46:57]

Yeah.

[00:46:57]

Please tell.

[00:46:58]

Yeah. I don't like. You do the photo shoot. It's always like, who took all these? You know? It's always like.

[00:47:04]

And also, like, could you, like, wear that outfit tonight? And you're like, oh, no, baby. That was at the studio.

[00:47:09]

Like, I just put on, like, 20.

[00:47:12]

Other women were wearing that.

[00:47:13]

Put on the lingerie, take a selfie, and send it to me. Like, I want, like, reality. The reality. Like, then send the nude, you know? Or send the lingerie. I don't need a photo shoot that, like, clearly, like, required. Like, glam that's laminated in a book.

[00:47:27]

That's what I was like, correct me if I'm wrong, but, like, yeah.

[00:47:29]

Like, a foldable page through.

[00:47:31]

Put it on the coffee table.

[00:47:32]

Same outfit, different pose.

[00:47:33]

Okay, here's my wife. We spent 1650 on this book, so please look at my wife in lingerie.

[00:47:38]

It's next to the Vogue.

[00:47:39]

Correct me if I'm wrong, but, like, a JC Penney's, like, sexy photo shoot isn't a turn on the. Exactly.

[00:47:44]

JC Penney.

[00:47:45]

That's what I get when I like her. Like, her boudoir shoots was like. It was like JC Penney's. No.

[00:47:53]

Put on the lingerie, ladies. Put on the lingerie. Go out to lunch with your friends, excuse yourself, go to the bathroom, go into the mirror, take a selfie, open up the blouse a little bit, send it to your husband. He's at work. He'll love that. That's all you need to do. You don't need the whole photo shoot. Like, make it. Make it time for this or just put it on.

[00:48:12]

Wearing lingerie to lunch. Ouch. And you're wondering why we don't get.

[00:48:17]

7 hours of sleep a night, literally.

[00:48:19]

I know you don't have to wear to lunch. I'm just saying. I don't.

[00:48:22]

My coochie's being cut in half while I'm trying to eat a chopped antipasti salad.

[00:48:27]

Underwear's fine. I'm gonna shut the fuck up.

[00:48:29]

Lingerie to lunch. Should be hot, though. I stand by that.

[00:48:33]

I am just saying, you don't need to do the photo shoot. Just take the selfie, pop out a titty. You know what I'm saying?

[00:48:38]

Like, just know for sure. That is so much less work and so much more affordable than a whole boudoir horseshoe. I'm trying to eat my salad. I'm like, ouch. Hold on. A lip is just out and, like, running on my jeans. Oh, my God. No, but. And then. And then we see Sean drinks a goddamn big gulp every day. That's crazy. He gets up and he goes to 711 every single day and gets a big gulp of diet coke.

[00:49:13]

Baby, you know what's crazier?

[00:49:14]

What?

[00:49:14]

That's like, America.

[00:49:16]

Yeah.

[00:49:16]

Yeah.

[00:49:17]

711. Purists are not something to be fucked with. Yeah, I do love a big gulp.

[00:49:22]

I will say a fountain drink on ice, a Diet Coke on ice, big cup, long straw.

[00:49:29]

But the amount of people drinking a gallon of soda every day.

[00:49:31]

No, it's great for a road trip. But you're going out of your house to go and get that and then come home.

[00:49:39]

Is that not, like, the epitome of rich? It's like to get a big old America, but you have the money to buy a lacroix, but you're getting a big old.

[00:49:46]

I'm kind of with you. That's what I was.

[00:49:47]

Lisa Barlow does this, too, where she only drinks biggles.

[00:49:50]

She only eats, like, Wendy's. Yeah, it's a weird flex, but I was like, this is how rich people stay rich. The same way that you guys Hilton does it.

[00:49:56]

She buys her, like, clothing from gas stations. Like, it's like this weird.

[00:49:59]

Yeah, it's this weird. This is why the witch stay rich. Yeah, because they're cheap in all of the areas that most people that want to be rich would never be.

[00:50:05]

Yeah.

[00:50:06]

You know, they're like, we don't need designer clothes. I get my clothes from Costco, but you know who can charter a private jet? Me.

[00:50:13]

Shit. That's so true. The secrets of the rich. That's crazy.

[00:50:18]

I'm really enjoying this season. I've really given up on Jersey.

[00:50:21]

Yeah, I will say it is confusing. Like, the Internet is confused right now that Bravo announced that there was twelve episodes or that there was three more left, but that would have been this past week and we saw the finale coming. It's like nobody truly knows how many episodes are left or what's happening.

[00:50:34]

I'm ready to give Dubai a shot.

[00:50:36]

You need to do it if you want rich. Rich. Dubai is rich. I know I've said it before, but, like, this is worldly. Like international money.

[00:50:43]

But like, what are the fights? Like, are we throwing drinks on people?

[00:50:46]

Here's the thing. So in Dubai there's laws where you can't, like, act crazy in public and like curse and stuff. Like, they're shady. Like the way they know, but the way they fight each other is like through wit. Like wit. So, like, it's really funny to watch.

[00:50:57]

Okay.

[00:50:57]

I'm here for that. I love like a quick comeback.

[00:51:00]

You haven't seen Dubai? I'm shocked.

[00:51:02]

I just started it. But yeah, no, I'm typically a domestic with my housewives. Domestic.

[00:51:11]

I don't like to leave the US with my housewives.

[00:51:14]

You're not international?

[00:51:15]

I barely leave the western area of the America.

[00:51:17]

Also, there's this thing where like, if you notice, housewives will test out different cities on Peacock first. And if they do well, they make it to like, live stream to like, cable. So Dubai was on Peacock first season, but it was so big that they moved it over.

[00:51:30]

What do you think is the most out of touch community in housewives universe? Orange County, Salt Lake City or Jersey?

[00:51:38]

Out of the three, yeah. Define out of touch.

[00:51:41]

Yeah.

[00:51:41]

I was like, jersey's very true to Jersey. I will say that. And I know that we're not like, going into it, but I'm like, the sending. Yeah, the sending. The, like, funeral flowers.

[00:51:50]

Did you see this?

[00:51:51]

No.

[00:51:51]

So Margaret sent funeral flowers to Teresa's house being like, sorry for your.

[00:51:57]

The loss of your dignity.

[00:51:58]

The loss of your dignity. Like, it's insane. It's so and it's when Teresa invited all the wives except for her to, like, a hearing with her lawyer to be like, Margaret was talking to Louis's ex.

[00:52:09]

Yeah. And during that time, she knew exactly what time this was going down and sent the flowers. Huge funeral like arrangement that said, sorry for the loss. Your dignity.

[00:52:18]

Was Teresa like, oh, my God. She said, these are beautiful.

[00:52:21]

She didn't read it.

[00:52:21]

She read sorry for the dignity and was like, send it back.

[00:52:24]

I don't want to throw it, like, pretty much in the floral man's face. Like, was like, nope. Tell them I don't want it. Like, the whole thing. So I was like, it's shady, but.

[00:52:32]

That is very on theme for New Jersey. Yeah, so you're right.

[00:52:34]

Also, this episode, there is a man who had an allergic Fuda. John Fuda had an allergic reaction to shellfish, I believe. His face starts swelling up. This is the most italian thing I've ever seen where he was like, I don't need a doctor.

[00:52:45]

I'm good.

[00:52:46]

Splash some water on it. And, like, one of the. One of the husbands was like, freaking, like, you need to call an ambulance. You need to get this checked out. And who's having a cancer syndrome?

[00:52:54]

And then Joe Gorga pulls out his dick and starts peeing in the bathroom while he's, like, red and, like, dying.

[00:53:00]

The drug dealer? Yeah.

[00:53:01]

And then they call the ambulance. The ambulance comes, and he's, like, refusing to see them. For the ambulance to be like, yeah, you need some, like, ibuprofen. And I think he'll be okay, but we'll come back if you need anything. But he was like, I'm italian. I don't need. I don't need anything.

[00:53:11]

I think that's, like, with Jersey. Like, there's a lot of culture in the show that I'm not familiar with, and so it's fascinating. And I see it differently than, like, like, orange county. It just seems like a bunch of white people for sure, who I feel like I have absolutely nothing in common with, where it's just more like, these people are so fucking out of touch. It's like, maybe. Cause I.

[00:53:37]

You know, I agree with that. I would say Orange county too. Outside of. Cause Beverly Hills, I feel like, just fits the zip code as well.

[00:53:43]

Yeah, right. It's more like, oh, well, yeah, there's.

[00:53:45]

A reason there are dramas. Like, you started to remodel my house by a million dollar house without asking me. I'm like, okay. That's what I would expect for Beverly.

[00:53:52]

Hills drama out of the rest of the franchise. I think New York would be out of touch. Cause that's where you have, like, Sonya Morgan, who was, like, putting an elevator in her house, you know?

[00:54:00]

Yeah.

[00:54:01]

Like, things like that.

[00:54:01]

Or, like, I miss old.

[00:54:03]

Everybody's in a penthouse.

[00:54:04]

Something about Orange county where it's just like. It's like, it's a community of, like. Again, it's just like, it seems like a lot of wannabe rich people.

[00:54:11]

It's cause they're all divorced. Yeah, that's why I said they lost the plot where they were all rich with their husbands, but now they are all waiting on their alimony and can't afford whatever bills they had.

[00:54:19]

Well, and it's also like, orange county as a whole is so huge because, like, mind you, I'm like, you've got Anaheim. That's where Disneyland is. Like, it's like Mission Viejo, and then you've got Newport and, like, laguna. So I'm like, we don't know where these people actually live in the proximity of Orange county. Like, we don't know if they're like, if one's in mission Viejo and the other one's in Newport.

[00:54:37]

Sierra has a point because the original concept was they lived in a specific gated community, like, a really expensive one. I don't remember the name, but imagine, like, bel Air, but, like, on crack in Orange county. So, like, none of them live there. None of them can afford to live there. So it's like, it's not even the original OC.

[00:54:49]

Yeah. Damn.

[00:54:51]

Bam.

[00:54:52]

Who should we get from OC on?

[00:54:54]

Shannon.

[00:54:54]

Oh, Shannon. I want Shannon.

[00:54:56]

Oh, duh. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.

[00:54:58]

No questions.

[00:54:59]

Shannon Beador.

[00:55:00]

I would love Heather Dubrow, but I.

[00:55:03]

We had Heather on last season.

[00:55:06]

We can bring her back.

[00:55:07]

We can bring her back.

[00:55:07]

She's great. She was great.

[00:55:09]

Penna was fantastic.

[00:55:10]

Yeah. I can be like, why aren't you in Beverly Hills?

[00:55:13]

Did anyone notice our new rug?

[00:55:15]

I did.

[00:55:16]

I hope they did on YouTube.

[00:55:18]

Yeah. Like, did we get any comments?

[00:55:19]

I'm no longer tricky. I haven't seen comments.

[00:55:22]

I don't read the comments.

[00:55:23]

It's one of those things where they take it for granted. Like, they see the messy, but now it looks clean, and they're like, oh, I don't notice the mess.

[00:55:28]

That's so true. Yeah, it's like our house.

[00:55:32]

All right, well, it's time to get to Jen. Excited to talk with her. We have a lot of questions for her about, like, how many dates does she have planned with this guy who's showing up for this season. What weddings was she supposed to go to? Does she even like any of these men? Lots of burning questions. We get to it all with Jen here. Here we go.

[00:55:50]

There's a lot of decisions you have to make when you have a baby, and the one that I feel the most comfortable and safe making is using huggies for our daughter, River. I always tell Nick that when rivers crying, she's trying to tell us something. And that's the case with most babies. They express it through cries. And so we've turned to huggies. The new huggy skin essentials are here. A brand new dermatologist approved line of diapers, wipes and pull ups training pants that are all designed with baby sensitive skin in mind.

[00:56:14]

Their wipes are so thick and ph balanced to help maintain healthy skin. Their wipes have zero harsh ingredients for a great gentle clean.

[00:56:22]

The skin essential diapers features a skin protect liner, which is what helps take care of the ick and stick that can cause rash. They have this liner built in their diapers.

[00:56:30]

The whole diaper helps protect against the top two causes of rash by managing moisture and running mess. The liner gives you the barrier to help absorb moisture and lock away runny mess from baby skin pulp skin essentials has your big kid covered too with a training pant that is ultra soft and breathable to help protect sensitive skin through potty training. Hey.

[00:58:11]

Welcome to the vial files.

[00:58:12]

Thank you for having me.

[00:58:13]

How are you?

[00:58:14]

I'm great. How are you guys?

[00:58:16]

We're fantastic.

[00:58:18]

I'm excited to be here.

[00:58:19]

We're very excited to have you.

[00:58:20]

Crazy episode this week.

[00:58:22]

Very crazy episode. I wasn't expecting so much all in one episode, to be honest.

[00:58:26]

Oh, and neither were we.

[00:58:28]

That might have been the most unhinged episode of the Bachelorette. I remember watching you think so. I was crying, laughing, and also just been like, what is going on here?

[00:58:39]

Oh, gosh.

[00:58:40]

It was a kaleidoscope of emotion.

[00:58:41]

It was like a cringe laugh. I was like, I couldn't believe what was what I was saying.

[00:58:45]

Honestly, I couldn't believe it either. Right.

[00:58:47]

Like, you're seeing things the first time.

[00:58:49]

Oh, yeah. It's been very revealing watching things back.

[00:58:54]

Oh, I'm sure.

[00:58:54]

And very. It's interesting. Every time I see myself on tv, I think, that's my evil twin and that's not me. And then we move past it.

[00:59:03]

Wait, wait, wait. Is there something about yourself that you not enjoying watching? I mean, have been really enjoying you as the bachelorette.

[00:59:10]

Thank you. I appreciate that. I think some of the decisions or maybe some of the things I'm letting slide by, and I think I realize how much of a people pleaser I am watching it back, and so that's a little. It's hard to see that sometimes. Yeah.

[00:59:25]

How has the experience overall been? Are we still, like, really glad we said yes to being the best shred? Have there been moments of, like, I can't believe I'm doing this?

[00:59:34]

Like, no. I never really have regrets about anything. I really think everything is a lesson to be learned. And even, like, if I made mistakes or I'm unhappy with a decision that I made, I think it's nice to be able to be aware of that and learn from it. So I don't have any regrets. No.

[00:59:52]

Okay.

[00:59:52]

Yeah.

[00:59:53]

What has been the hardest thing to watch back about yourself?

[00:59:57]

Like I said, some of the decisions that I made and letting certain things. Things slide by. Okay.

[01:00:03]

Anything specific you want to address?

[01:00:07]

I don't know yet.

[01:00:09]

We have specific questions.

[01:00:10]

Okay. You can ask me specific questions. I just think. I think I'm a very. I just. I want to make other people happy at all times. I think I'm realizing that watching it back, that maybe that's, like, the best emotion to be portraying at the time. And then I'm like, okay, I should have just. Just let my smiley guard down and just, like, actually show how I was feeling, kind of thing.

[01:00:32]

Is there. What are moments where you felt like you were feeling one way and you presented another to the men?

[01:00:39]

Definitely on top of that building on this episode, jumping off. Like, you could see I'm, like, trying to make a joke out of it, but I am also extremely uncomfortable up there, and I wish I had just let my guard down and just sobbed. I mean, I know eventually that I did, but I think at first I was like, okay, there's cameras around. I'm just going, like, try as much as I can to just, like, be calm and smiley and, like, make a joke of it. But I was so, like, I wanted to crawl out of my skin up there.

[01:01:08]

Discomfort up there seemed obvious to us.

[01:01:11]

Okay. Okay.

[01:01:12]

Yeah. I feel like all of Batri Nation felt your discomfort. I feel like the only one who didn't pick up on your discomfort was Sam M. He does seem to be someone, and this is, like, the second week in a row where he. He wasn't seemingly picking up on your cues, which is, well, kind of alarming sometimes. Last week, it was like he was really physical and kind of, like, almost jumping on top of you and, like, yeah, you guys have a physical chemistry, but it was almost like, bro, was that as uncomfortable for you in that moment as it was that it seemed.

[01:01:49]

Like, yeah, see, that was another moment in which I was like, why are you smiling? Like, you're obviously so uncomfortable. And I think I like to just make a things seem like they're not as bad. And, I mean, it wasn't like, I think in the moment, I was just a little like, okay, this is not the time and the place right now to be doing that.

[01:02:06]

It's also so relatable, though. Like, I feel like all of us as women can relate to feeling like I don't want to embarrass him or I don't. You know, like, this guy's asking me for my number. I don't want it, like, in front of his friends. I don't want to say no. I'll just, like, give it to him, I guess. You don't want to. So it's like, I am, like, so proud of you for eventually being like, I know it took you a moment to get there, but to eventually be like, what are you doing? Like, stop.

[01:02:28]

Yeah. I was like, not the time and place.

[01:02:30]

What we're doing right now.

[01:02:31]

Yeah. But also, like, yeah, I feel like you're almost being too hard on yourself, because, again, like, your discomfort felt obvious. And it's people's job to pick up on cues. Like, you put you in a position to have to actually be like, what are you doing? You know, like. And almost forced you to do another uncomfortable thing, which is to call him out when you were trying to politely say, hey, you know, like, give him. Give him the cues, and he just was refusing to pick up on that.

[01:03:00]

Yeah, that is true. I mean, I feel like I'm always such. Like, I'm my harshest critic, right? Like, watching things back. I'm always gonna be like, oh, I wish that I had been more blank about this and that. So, like, yeah, I get that.

[01:03:11]

I think the only thing. We're really upset with you.

[01:03:13]

Oh, you're upset with me. Okay, this is news to me. What's going on?

[01:03:19]

As a former lead. Okay, I understand this is an irritating question. Okay, but why'd you send Brett home? Because we interviewed him. We talked to him, and I was, you know, I had low expectations, but then I was like, it's not adding up. I don't understand. Like, I don't expect her to marry the guy, but, like, you couldn't keep this guy around for a couple weeks? Or, like he. He said, but then what good is.

[01:03:43]

That gonna do for him if I keep him around knowing that?

[01:03:46]

So you really hated.

[01:03:47]

No, I never hated him. I think he's an amazing guy. I think he so funny and sweet and charming. I just, in that moment, felt like there wasn't a connection off the bat. And unfortunately, I just don't think it does anybody any good to just keep them around for the sake of a show. It's valid, because for me, it wasn't a show. It was my life.

[01:04:07]

No, I understand, but, like, I don't feel like you have connections with Thomas or Jeremy or Sam N. Or Spencer. Jeremy. Yeah, but. Okay. But Brett moved on.

[01:04:21]

Okay, good. I'm glad. He should. I think he's gonna do so well. He's already doing something.

[01:04:26]

He was giving, and I think we said this to him. He was giving grocery store Joe.

[01:04:30]

Yes.

[01:04:31]

He maybe was quiet or awkward and didn't show his full personality. And then, like, America will love him, and he is gonna thrive and be so fun.

[01:04:41]

I'm so happy he's getting the love that he deserves. So, so happy.

[01:04:44]

Yeah.

[01:04:44]

I don't know how much you can answer this question.

[01:04:46]

Oh, gosh.

[01:04:47]

But I feel like we hate a lot of your men.

[01:04:50]

Oh, well, tell me how you really feel about it. Yeah.

[01:04:54]

Some of them are just. And it's like, obviously, the stuff you don't see right in the moment, it's all the stuff that just. We're watching. Yeah.

[01:05:02]

What about their behavior has surprised you?

[01:05:05]

I didn't realize how catty they were, to be honest. I had no idea any of those scenes were going on. Like, with the cocktail party. I didn't know any of them were just being so aggressive and shouting and, like, all this fighting. I had no idea, which I'm mad about. I'm like, let me. Let me listen in. Like, let me be a fly on the wall. But, yeah, I mean, I'm surprised to see how passionate they all were. Yeah.

[01:05:29]

At this stage of the season, if you could go back in your memory, like, who is your strongest connection at this stage?

[01:05:37]

I'd probably say. I'd probably say Devon after that one on one date.

[01:05:41]

Okay. Yeah, we love Devin.

[01:05:42]

Yeah.

[01:05:43]

We've been really enjoying him. Else I asked this because I'm having a hard time seeing, like, I feel for you. You know, as, like, you know, like you said, it's your life. I know what it's like to go in those shoes. You're trusting a lot of people to select, you know, 25. How many men do you have? 32.

[01:05:58]

25. Well, why do you hate my men?

[01:06:01]

Just seem like they are undeserving of you.

[01:06:04]

That's very nice. Yeah, that's very nice. Is there something specific? Like.

[01:06:07]

Well, something. I don't know.

[01:06:10]

Tell me.

[01:06:14]

Maybe.

[01:06:14]

Jonathan. You and Jonathan? I really. I like you and Jonathan. I'm just having a hard time seeing any connection worth your time. And I feel like it's mostly their fault or all of their fault.

[01:06:25]

Yeah.

[01:06:26]

Yeah.

[01:06:26]

As long as it's not my fault, I'm happy.

[01:06:28]

No, you didn't pick the guys.

[01:06:31]

No. We love Devin, Marcus, Jonathan. I think we're struggling a little with Thomas. And did you notice his way of pulling people to talk to them?

[01:06:42]

Yeah, it's very interesting. He just goes, hey, let's talk. I'm like, whoa.

[01:06:48]

It's very, like, grabs the.

[01:06:50]

I know. Thank God he wasn't doing that to me. I'm like, what are you grabbing me for?

[01:06:55]

Makes me think too. I'm like, was there anybody that you've been like, watching what's happening behind your back. Was there anybody that you were surprised by their behavior being like, they're not this way with me, but they are this way with all of the guys in the house.

[01:07:06]

I mean, I think it's very clear cut. Sam M. Is very different with the guys than he is with me. So very shocked to see that behavior. Yeah.

[01:07:15]

What about Sam M. Has caused you to explore that relationship up into this point that we're seeing in the season? And then, obviously, we talked about his lack of reading cues. Is that something we might keep seeing from him as the season goes on? And do you regret giving him more time, given his lack of ability to pick up on some of these keys that seem important to you?

[01:07:43]

I will say that at the point where we are in the season, I think I just have so much hope for the connection, because he was my first impression rose, and I kind of had just, like, this gut feeling. So I think at that point, like, I wanted to prove myself right. Like, I wanted to be like, I picked this guy for the first impression, Rose, for a reason. And so, yeah, I mean, I did give him a couple of chances to. To prove that to me.

[01:08:10]

Okay.

[01:08:10]

You definitely did.

[01:08:11]

Yeah.

[01:08:13]

The way that he told the waiter, like, no, and we're gonna jump. My jaw was on the floor. I was like, ah, this isn't like trying new food. This is like jumping from the building.

[01:08:25]

I mean, we all know this show can be edited. Sometimes we lose context. But did he come across as aggressive in real time as it did on the show?

[01:08:33]

I will say in that moment, it was exactly how it was portrayed. And. And I see this is one of those things where I look back and I reflect on, why didn't I take that as harshly as other people have taken it? And I think it's because my whole life, I haven't had that empathetic person come out and not coddle me, but check on me and have that nurturing feeling. So when a partner does it, it feels familiar. It's like, okay, this is kind of what happens in my everyday life. And I remember actually thinking in that moment, like, this is how my brother would act, but that's okay because that's my brother. That's not my partner. So it's funny thinking back now. It's like I let it slide so easily because I was like, this is such a familiar feeling. I would never get someone to nurture me in that moment when that is what I want in a relationship, though. So, yeah, that's kind of where my head kind of was at, it didn't.

[01:09:31]

Catch you as off guard as it caught the rest of us.

[01:09:33]

Yes. Yes, yes.

[01:09:35]

That makes sense.

[01:09:35]

Yeah.

[01:09:36]

I'm trying to figure out what more questions you can ask about Samn that you can answer, because I know you can't really give anything away. Is there anything you want to say in his defense? If there was anything to defend, you know, because I feel like he's out there blaming the edit or, you know, saying he feels misrepresented, now's your time. If for all the people who can't stand Sam m and feel like we're waiting for him to go home, do you want to say anything?

[01:10:03]

All I'm gonna say is, I don't think anybody can edit you in a certain way that you're not already. No one's gonna put words in your mouth. Those are your own, and you gotta take responsibility for that. And that's. That's all I'll say, period.

[01:10:17]

How do you feel about him continuously saying, let's keep keeping the main thing the main thing, and I'm assuming you.

[01:10:23]

Are the main thing, or Thomas saying the same thing.

[01:10:27]

Did they say that to you?

[01:10:28]

Oh, they're best.

[01:10:29]

Are they currently dating? Because they seem like.

[01:10:32]

Yeah.

[01:10:33]

Oh, gosh. Oh, gosh. Um, you know, I I don't think I picked up on it as much because I think most of the times when you see it on the show, it's, like, in an interview or with the boys and not as much with me.

[01:10:46]

So they didn't say that in front of you?

[01:10:47]

Maybe once or twice, but not nearly as much as I was seeing it. I was like, what is this, a tagline? What is it?

[01:10:54]

Trademark thing?

[01:10:55]

Yeah.

[01:10:56]

What is going on?

[01:10:57]

Are they winking at the camera?

[01:10:59]

Is this your brand?

[01:11:00]

Yeah. Very confused about that one.

[01:11:03]

Did you. Did you notice him almost stumbling out the door drunk when he left after. It was last episode when Sam in.

[01:11:11]

Came in and it was like, oh, great. The two people that are fighting over me that I.

[01:11:17]

Well, first of all, I didn't know that they were fighting, right? Because I wasn't seeing that. So in the moment, like, when I remember it, I just remember Thomas being. He seemed upset. Like, very upset. And I thought, oh, like, he's just upset because his time's taken, like, cut short. But he was really upset because he also didn't like Samhain at the time, and I didn't realize. So it's. It's funny piecing things back together when I watch back now.

[01:11:40]

Okay.

[01:11:41]

Yeah.

[01:11:41]

Yeah.

[01:11:42]

You've also had multiple moments thus far where you have two men kind of getting aggressive with each other in front of you. Like, whether it's to, like, steal time for one on ones or whatever. How did, what, like, what's going through your mind mind when that's happening? Because it makes me so uncomfortable.

[01:11:57]

I'm gonna let the boys figure it out for themselves. Like, I'm just not the type of person that's gonna sit there and teach somebody how to act in a. In a situation of conflict. Like, and I think it's very telling how long the boys are gonna keep it going on for. So to me, like, I liked being a fly on the wall, watching these conversations happen, watching the uncomfortable happen, and seeing how well they resolve conflict for themselves. I'm not your mom. Yeah, I'm not here to do that.

[01:12:23]

Yes. Your men figure it out.

[01:12:25]

Yeah.

[01:12:26]

A couple of weeks ago, I forgot what happened. But you approached the men and kind of called them out for some of their behavior. And then later in the episode, a couple times we saw you. I think one, you asked Sam M.

[01:12:39]

And a couple of it was after Aaron dropped his bomb and said, what did he say? You can.

[01:12:46]

Some people aren't here for the right reason.

[01:12:48]

I know, but that everybody isn't here.

[01:12:50]

No.

[01:12:50]

And then you were like, well, can you tell me who you can figure it out or something. It was like, you're giving me a job.

[01:12:56]

I have so many things about that. I have so many things about that. Here's the thing. I was so happy for Aaron to go and pursue his dreams. You know, I was like, great. You should go do that. And, you know, I. No hard feelings. But then when he was like, oh, I have something to tell you, and he didn't just fully tell me who it was. It was like, then in that moment, you're doing it for your own reasons. Like, that felt selfish for me because you're putting a damper on my journey. For what reason? Because if you truly thought that I could figure it out for myself, then you would have just let me figure it out for myself. You wouldn't have to tell me a thing. Right. So it felt very selfish in the moment, and then it just made me angry because then I had to address it, and it didn't need that. It didn't need to be like that. He could have just left, and I would have been so happy for him.

[01:13:42]

And I've never seen a bachelorette have to, like, ask the guys. Like, did you, like, what'd you think of my speech, it came across as you. You felt like they didn't hear you. Like, they didn't really acknowledge what you said as almost. That was like, I think that's kind of the frustration of watching some of these guys. It's like this episode was so unhinged. But I can't tell if any of them are really taking this seriously. If there are, they're just like, sam n seems like he's watched 50 seasons of the Bachelorette, and he's just here.

[01:14:12]

Like, he missed the episode of how to, like, comfort when the Bachelorette scared.

[01:14:18]

Yeah, he missed that epidemic. Yeah, but it's as if they aren't, like, acknowledging or I hearing what you're saying. Was that your reason for asking these guys if they heard what they thought of your speech? Because no one really seemed to give a crap about what you had to say.

[01:14:34]

I don't think that was the case with everybody. I think there were a lot that did hear what I had to say and took things very, very seriously. But, yeah, there were a couple that I think were so confident in the connection that felt like it didn't need to be addressed and they didn't need to reassure me, which was, yeah, definitely a little bit alarming, because it's like, why wouldn't you want to reassure me in that moment, Nick?

[01:14:58]

I felt, like, cracked the code when we talked about this episode on reality recap a few weeks ago, whenever Aaron dropped his bomb, and it was him saying, there are guys here that I don't think are ready for this, while he is leaving for a job, aka not ready for this.

[01:15:15]

Yeah, there was also.

[01:15:16]

It's like, I'm happy for you, but, like. But, like, why did you show up if you had have to, like, move for a career? Like, if this was the real world and he was in a relationship, he would have been like, hey, I'm not ready to date right now. I have to give my entire life to, you know, becoming an Air Force pilot, which is an amazing dream. Yeah, but it's kind of like, why is this a very pot calling cuddle black? And I'm not sure what was wrong with, like, is it Devon's sense of humor that makes him not ready or. I'm not sure what Aaron was talking about.

[01:15:47]

I will say in moment, like, I, you know, I don't know how the Air Force works, and, like, maybe he just didn't know, and I'm okay with that. And, like, I'm so happy that he got that opportunity, and that doesn't bother me. But, yeah, I mean, I definitely knew who he was thinking of, because the episode before that, him, Aaron, and Devon were having, like, a little spat about pulling me. So, like, I knew he was thinking of him. Right. I just wanted him to grow the balls and just tell me and just say it.

[01:16:13]

Did you have any problem with how devin's approach pursuing you in the first four weeks?

[01:16:19]

No, I didn't. I mean, that's the premise of the show, right? Is to get as much time as you can and to show that you're here to make an effort and to show that you care. So I didn't have a problem with it. Yeah.

[01:16:31]

Sam. Ed.

[01:16:32]

Yeah.

[01:16:33]

Jen's husband.

[01:16:34]

My husband. I still have that jersey.

[01:16:38]

I don't think he knows what manifesting means. Did you feel the need to explain that to him where it's like, well, we're not actually married.

[01:16:46]

The manifestation hasn't taken place yet.

[01:16:49]

It's like, we'd have to be married.

[01:16:51]

For me to be.

[01:16:53]

You would be your wife.

[01:16:54]

Right. Well, but he was, like, manifesting it. No, like that.

[01:16:57]

He was certainly trying. Sure. But he was speaking to you as if it's.

[01:17:01]

It's already been done. Yeah. Yeah.

[01:17:03]

See, I told you I was gonna manifest it. Okay.

[01:17:06]

Was it manifesting words on a jersey? Because you nailed it.

[01:17:09]

Uh, you know what? It was cute. I give the boys some credit.

[01:17:12]

I actually. I actually feel for him. I think he's just a bit of a fish out of water.

[01:17:18]

I think so, too.

[01:17:19]

I think it's easy to laugh at some of his behavior, and certainly, I think he has a lot to learn, maybe, about love and dating, and he's a little green, so to speak. But I will ride for Sam n much more than I'll ever ride for Sam m facts.

[01:17:34]

But you did send.

[01:17:35]

I would love to know what Jen thinks about that.

[01:17:38]

I can't say if I agree or disagree, but I say that. Yeah. I think Sam n was like, he was just a fish out of water. He didn't know what he was doing. And I think it was sweet. Like, his intentions seemed sweet. And for me, like, I'm not gonna fault anybody for being a little bit forward, you know, just not your guy. Yeah. It could work really well for somebody else.

[01:18:01]

That was also a moment that I was like, yes, thank God, Jen, when he wanted to kiss you, and you were like, yeah.

[01:18:08]

I was kind of like, I can't drag this on any longer. You're so sweet. I just don't see it. And I felt bad. I wasn't just gonna kiss him and keep him. So, yeah, I had to let that fish go.

[01:18:21]

I guess my question was just more so, like, was there. Was it, like, all too much too soon? Or was there any pressing reason as to why when he went in for the kiss you were like, you know what?

[01:18:29]

Actually just wasn't feeling it, unfortunately. I feel like in those moments you kind of just know when somebody asks you. And I just was like, I don't think I want to. And then I was like, oh, shit. I should probably send him home if I don't want to sign.

[01:18:42]

Let's talk about the ex boyfriend.

[01:18:44]

Yeah, let's do it.

[01:18:44]

Or maybe not ex boyfriend. Or, as we know, his ex boyfriend. What are these weddings that he made it seem like you were supposed to go to with him?

[01:18:56]

Yeah.

[01:18:56]

Yeah.

[01:18:57]

Fair, fair. So we've been friends for a while. Okay. We dated three years ago.

[01:19:03]

What is his name?

[01:19:04]

I forgot.

[01:19:04]

Matthew. We reconnected here and there. We'll get dinner and stuff. Like, I live in Boston while my family lives in Boston. He lives in Boston. So, like, we'll see each other here and there. But over the past few months, like, post Joey's season and stuff, like, we just, like, talked a lot. But, like, he lives in Boston. I live in Miami. So, like, there was nothing there. I was still seeing a bunch of other people. Maybe not a bunch of other people, but, like, a few other people. Whatever. He had a few weddings in Columbia that he needed a plus one to. I'd never been to Columbia before. It was, like, a free trip to Columbia. That sounds great. So I was like, yeah, I'll be your plus one to Columbia if I'm not doing anything, you know? And that's kind of where it all came from.

[01:19:45]

We're quite booked and busy.

[01:19:46]

I was very busy. So I did tell him. I was like, hey, I gotta go do this thing. And unfortunately, I can't be your plus one but maybe some other very lucky girl.

[01:19:54]

Will, did you tell him that you were gonna be the bachelorette or did you actually say, you have to go do this thing?

[01:19:59]

I did not tell him.

[01:20:00]

You didn't?

[01:20:01]

No. Okay, I lied. I did.

[01:20:02]

Okay. I think it's okay.

[01:20:04]

Okay, I did.

[01:20:05]

Yeah.

[01:20:05]

Secret sauce. How did he respond to that?

[01:20:07]

How did he respond?

[01:20:08]

I think at that point he was just a gal. That sounds great. Like, good for you. I'm happy for you.

[01:20:13]

There was no.

[01:20:15]

He wasn't like, I don't want you to go. I love you.

[01:20:18]

Yeah. He was like, wait, no, I'm in love with you. I want to be with you.

[01:20:20]

And even if he did, like, was.

[01:20:22]

There any mention of him being, like, even joking, like, oh, wouldn't that be crazy if I showed up or anything like that?

[01:20:28]

No, definitely not. Definitely not.

[01:20:30]

And so we obviously were very surprised.

[01:20:33]

I was very shocked. Think we were in New Zealand. Like, it's not like we were in Kansas or Connecticut. Like, he flew to New Zealand. And at first when I saw him, I thought to myself, wow, a friendly face. Like, I'm so excited. Like, he must be here to give me, like, some advice or something. And then I was like, it's not.

[01:20:52]

Gonna fly around very, very quickly.

[01:20:55]

I was like, this man is not here to give you advice.

[01:20:59]

I felt like you were actually overall happy to see him. That was my read.

[01:21:03]

He is someone who's been, like, a good friend in my life. We've known each other for three years now. I know his family very well. We're on such good terms. So I wasn't upset. Cause he wasn't a toxic ex or anything. If anything, I was very confused in that moment, because I just didn't think that he loved me like that.

[01:21:25]

Did you not?

[01:21:26]

He was like, I love you, and you're like, Matthew, I feel good about it.

[01:21:32]

As someone who knows what it's like to show up late for a season. Yeah, I just. I really loved the gesture. You seemed happy about it. Good looking guy. I really hated the I love you part up into that point. It felt like, I can believe this. It seems genuine. He knew her. The story lines up, like, you know, you guys connected after the Bachelor. I think a lot of people do that, you know? Or it's just like, you go through this crazy experience, and then, like, maybe there's someone who, like, realized, like, whoa, man. Like, what am I doing? I should really pursue this person. And then you guys talk. You get to go and be the Bachelorette. But the I love you part felt performative. That felt, to me where it's like, this is a guy who's saying this because he feels like he should say this, and that's how he's going to get on the show, rather than kind of being confident in the connection that you guys did have, whatever real connection that was and just kind of lead with that.

[01:22:21]

Well, I was just confused because we hadn't dated in three years. Like, we had seen each other here and there, gotten dinner, whatever, but I was just confused where the I love you was coming from. And when he said, like, we were in love, like, we were never in.

[01:22:34]

Love I was about to ask you.

[01:22:35]

We were never in love, so I don't know, maybe you thought we dated for, like, three months. We were not in love. And so I. Yeah, I was really, really shocked and confused and trying to wrap my head around what exactly it is that he had wanted for me in that. That moment. Yeah.

[01:22:52]

Do you think fame.

[01:22:56]

Listen, the thought definitely crossed my head for sure. He does have a little TikTok following, so, like, I'm not. Yes.

[01:23:02]

From what?

[01:23:03]

He has a little wiener dog and he posts about it. He's wiener dog, wiener dog, wiener dog.

[01:23:14]

We could really edit the show.

[01:23:17]

He has a TikTok following because he is a little wiener dog.

[01:23:24]

Okay.

[01:23:25]

The dog's cute.

[01:23:26]

The dog is so cute. And so, you know, he just got a bit of a following in Boston and whatever. And so, yeah, he's a bit of an influencer. And the thought definitely crossed my mind. But I know him very well from knowing him for three years. And I thought, I'm gonna ask the question, like, do you really mean that? Why are you actually here? But I think when he doubled down, I was like, oh, okay. Shit, this is serious. Like, I don't think he would have flown all the way across the country to New Zealand if it wasn't when you hung out.

[01:23:55]

And even when you're hanging out as friends, even though you were friends, did you see him in a. Did you have any type of maybe crush on him? Were you kind of thinking on your end, he's kind of cute. I like this guy. Should we rekindle it? Knowing that you didn't communicate that and that was never actually a thing between you guys. But were you ever in your head? Head, like, maybe thinking, there's something there?

[01:24:18]

I think back then, like, when. Before all of this happened my mindset was more like, he's someone I feel very comfortable with and very familiar and someone who knows me very well. And so I wasn't thinking, like, we're gonna date. Like, I like him so much also because we just lived in different states at the time. So it just didn't. I didn't see him that light during.

[01:24:43]

That time when you guys dated three years ago. Who ended it?

[01:24:45]

He ended up.

[01:24:46]

He ended it.

[01:24:47]

Yeah. Yeah.

[01:24:48]

And how long did you date?

[01:24:49]

Like three months. Nothing's.

[01:24:51]

You didn't hear from him until after you were famous? After the.

[01:24:54]

We had seen each other over the years, like, here and there.

[01:24:57]

Okay.

[01:24:57]

So, like, it wasn't, like, totally out of the blue that he, like, reached out after Joey season?

[01:25:01]

Well, because I'm thinking to myself, okay, well, on one end, a guy does not ask a girl to be his date in a different country if he doesn't like her. But then you're famous, and it's like he's got a little wiener dog and.

[01:25:16]

And he's bringing his famous friend.

[01:25:20]

No. Is it. You know, it could go either way.

[01:25:23]

Yeah. Yeah. I mean, I wasn't. I wasn't really focused on why he was inviting me. I was like, I've never been to Columbia.

[01:25:30]

I'll take the trip.

[01:25:31]

Free trip to Columbia. A hot tub. Like, it just sounds great. It sounds great to me.

[01:25:36]

Well, I know you can't say. Cause it ended on a cliffhanger, but I'm 99.99% sure it looked like he's.

[01:25:42]

Ready for rose ceremony.

[01:25:43]

You kept him at least for a minute, because it would be kind of rude to make him dress up, go to Rose ceremony, and then send him home.

[01:25:49]

I will say, yes, you did see him in a talks, and you'll just have to watch and see what happens with that.

[01:25:57]

How are we feeling? Feeling post show? Are we, like, feeling potentially in love? Are we, like.

[01:26:06]

If. You know, I won't say, like, if I'm in love or not, but I will say that I'm very happy. I'm very happy with the way things turned out, and I couldn't have seen it going any other way.

[01:26:17]

Any other way.

[01:26:18]

Yes.

[01:26:20]

But we love that you're happy.

[01:26:21]

Thank you. I appreciate that. Yeah.

[01:26:23]

I would like to just quickly shift a gear, and then we can shift back. The comment Kelly Ripa made to you. Your clap back was, I think, iconic. The way that you just, like, immediately were able to pull that out. I think she said something about, why are you doing the show? You can go to the grocery store. You don't need to like this tv show. Was it coming from a good place?

[01:26:46]

Yeah, I mean, for me, I. For me and Kelly, I think we were just doing it all in good fun. You know, in my head, I didn't take any offense to that. I was just like, hey, look at this. You also met your husband on tv. You know, so I was in. I wasn't offended by it. I don't think she was offended by it, and I think it was all in good. Fuck, yeah.

[01:27:07]

She has a bit of a history with bachelor.

[01:27:10]

I have heard that. I've also heard that.

[01:27:12]

Did she say anything to you?

[01:27:13]

Oh, yeah.

[01:27:13]

What'd she say to you?

[01:27:14]

I forgot, but it was definitely. People got mad at her then too.

[01:27:18]

Oh, really?

[01:27:19]

There's a no. Literally. I think someone did a whole article about all the times Kelly Ripta offended a bachelorette or a bachelor.

[01:27:25]

I think she's just interviewing them. I don't know.

[01:27:28]

It's kind of weird. It's like, if you hate the show.

[01:27:30]

So much, I think she just doesn't necessarily understand or agree with the show. And that's okay. You don't have to agree with it.

[01:27:38]

Like, we get it.

[01:27:40]

Right? Right.

[01:27:41]

What are you gonna do? What are some of. Just, like, let's just get away from the show a little bit and get to know Jen a little bit and keep it kind of fun. But what are some of your biggest icks, like, what are your kind of obvious turn offs that you just can't stand or some, like, even kind of surprising ones? Like, we had a tour girl recently and breathing.

[01:27:59]

Oh, I did see that little clip. Well, some men breathing could piss me off.

[01:28:06]

Right.

[01:28:07]

I would say. I mean, like, surface level, like, chewing with your mouth open is crazy. And it just turns me off so much. And when you're, like, talking to me and you have a food full, like, a mouthful of food, it's like, it's just not it for me. I don't know if anything really turns me off. I have, like, I have weird turn ons. I feel like. Ooh, like what? I love chest hair. Like, love, love how much? The more the better. I really can.

[01:28:35]

You have too much chest hair.

[01:28:36]

I'm a weirdo. I'm a weirdo.

[01:28:38]

Show the picture.

[01:28:39]

What picture?

[01:28:40]

Chambers.

[01:28:42]

I don't know. I think that was like a. It, like, went away. I don't think I have.

[01:28:46]

Oh, gosh.

[01:28:47]

I don't think so. I mean, I can look, but it's like. It's quite alarming.

[01:28:51]

It's wolverine.

[01:28:51]

It's.

[01:28:52]

Yeah, like, you love that movie.

[01:28:56]

I feel like Brett has a lot of chest hair.

[01:29:00]

He might have had a lot of.

[01:29:02]

Devin looks like a hairy chest kind of guy. Did we see it? No.

[01:29:05]

I don't know. I'm gonna say Devon.

[01:29:07]

Wait. I feel like we saw it on.

[01:29:08]

We didn't see it.

[01:29:09]

Yeah, Chippendales.

[01:29:10]

Does anyone have chest?

[01:29:12]

I don't know. Do they?

[01:29:13]

Do we need to pay better, closer attention?

[01:29:18]

Well, it doesn't mean that they have to.

[01:29:19]

So you can't have too much chest hair?

[01:29:20]

No, I don't.

[01:29:21]

What about back hair?

[01:29:22]

Oh, back hair. That's different. I think back here is a little different.

[01:29:26]

But if. What if you had.

[01:29:28]

You got to shave your back for me without the other.

[01:29:32]

Like, I feel like a black and white cookie.

[01:29:34]

You know, just like.

[01:29:35]

I love that. I used to love black and white cookies. Maybe this is where it's coming from. This is where it's coming from. Yeah.

[01:29:43]

That's crazy.

[01:29:44]

Any other random turn ons? We love dishonesty.

[01:29:47]

Nothing that I can think of right now.

[01:29:49]

What about, like, icks in relationships?

[01:29:51]

None of the men gave you an ick at all, ever.

[01:29:53]

I feel bad if I say it.

[01:29:56]

It's okay. It's like, Nick. When Nick trips, I'm like, oh, my God. You know, don't do that.

[01:30:00]

I'm just gonna say we're all. Nick. Very interesting choice.

[01:30:04]

The pearl necklace was interesting.

[01:30:06]

Very interesting choice.

[01:30:07]

I don't think it would. Maybe if there was, like, a. You know, a girl he, like, maybe, like, babysat made it for him.

[01:30:17]

Oh, that would be cute.

[01:30:18]

Cute.

[01:30:18]

So sweet.

[01:30:19]

Is it your grandma's?

[01:30:21]

Oh, my God. Is it your grandma's? Cute.

[01:30:23]

Okay, okay. Maybe I should ask questions instead of judging. My bad.

[01:30:27]

No, no, no. It's definitely not his grandma's.

[01:30:29]

Not his grandma's or. I don't think he's a babysitter.

[01:30:31]

He brought a prop with him.

[01:30:32]

He brought the book.

[01:30:34]

Oh, God.

[01:30:35]

He brought a prop.

[01:30:36]

Yeah. I almost like. I feel like Aaron really wasted your time. I think he owes you an apology. For one, he clearly had. He knew this whole opportunity was a possibility, and I would challenge that. He knew the whole time and knew he had to leave early. And two, he brought a prop. He literally, instead of, like, investing his time in getting to know you, he talked to his brother. And wouldn't it be fun to do a callback from my season four years ago where no one remembers and, like, just kind of made it a whole thing. And again, being the guy who's wasting your time to getting your head to make you insecure about the other men and questioning their intentions, he went and dropped this bomb. Nothing about his time on the show meant he was sincere about getting to know you. And I think, as such, he owes you an apology.

[01:31:22]

Yeah, I mean, I don't disagree. I think, like, him doing what he did. I'm so happy for him. But, yeah, like, the whole book thing, I didn't. I wouldn't have thought anything of it if it hadn't already been done by his brother.

[01:31:35]

Yeah. It was like.

[01:31:36]

I was like, okay, did you know.

[01:31:38]

That they were related when he was on?

[01:31:39]

He did tell me that. Yes, he did tell me that.

[01:31:42]

You've been very open about your past relationships.

[01:31:44]

Yes.

[01:31:45]

And we appreciate it. We love talking about relationships on this show. We learn a lot from our failures. We learn a lot from our relationships that don't work out. But what are some things you learned from that that are really benefiting you now as the bachelorette and that you will carry forward in the future whether you are engaged or with someone or not?

[01:32:03]

In my previous very toxic relationship, I was shut down a lot of the times, and I didn't really stand up for myself. And I think that's something that maybe I'm still kind of dealing with now is, like, speaking up for myself when something really bothers me. But also in that relationship, I just felt like I was never, like, heard, and everything that was serious to me was being made of, fun of, and I didn't really see it until I got out of it. It just was not. Yeah, it just wasn't good. And he. He knew that. And I think that he's very manipulative in the way that he moved, and he would pull on certain strings when he knew that I would act in a certain way. So I think moving forward with my, like, new relationships, I really want to be able to stand my own ground and never lose who I really am just because of another guy. So I'm constantly working on every day, just standing up for myself. Like, who am I, and what do I believe in? And not letting anybody falter that or sway that in any way just because I'm dating somebody.

[01:33:14]

When did that relationship happen?

[01:33:15]

I dated him right before I got into Pa school. So, like, two years ago ago now, I think. Yeah, we did for, like, a year.

[01:33:24]

How did that end?

[01:33:25]

He had, like, moved me into my apartment in Miami, and while we were there, his mom was like, why are you in Miami? And he was like, I'm just here with some friends. And I was like, you still haven't told your mom about me? And we've been dating for a whole year. It's just made me feel so icky and so disgusted because I was like, we're adults now. Like, why are you hiding me? It doesn't make sense. And so after that, things were really rocky with us, and we had broken up very shortly after that, and he just. We were on facetime one day, and I brought up something I was upset about related to that, and he hung up. The phone was like, I'm done. And, like, didn't speak to me for, like, weeks after that. It was a very brutal breakup in a sense, where, like, I didn't get answers. And honestly, like, I should have been the one to break up with him, but I'm glad that he did it because I don't know if I was in the right mindset at that time in my life to have ever done it.

[01:34:21]

How did you end up in the bachelor, bachelorette or the bachelor in the first place?

[01:34:24]

A casting producer reached out to me, and they saw my pa school tiktoks, and they said that they wanted to interview me.

[01:34:31]

When this is all over, what are your plans? Are you going to kind of be, like, a full time bachelorette? Do you want to go back to what you were doing before?

[01:34:42]

Yes. I will be going back to Pa school. I'm taking a little break right now, just, like, to get my footing down just because this is all very new and my schedule is very crazy. So I will be going back to school in January for anyone who doesn't know what Pa school is, physician assistant school. So I will be going back in January and just, yeah, resuming my normal life, hopefully, and, like, yeah, having a side gig and doing social media here and there. But my focus will be physician assistant school because that's kind of, like, what I've done my whole life, and it's what makes me feel. Feel the most fulfilled.

[01:35:15]

Is there any field that you want to specialize in?

[01:35:18]

Probably the emergency room. I'm someone who's very upbeat, and I need something different, like, every second to, like, stimulate myself, and I think I do well, environments, like, where I'm pressured. So, yeah, I definitely think the ER is something I'd want to do.

[01:35:31]

Surgery?

[01:35:32]

Uh, no, not surgery. I did a surgical rotation, and I realized it was not for me. Like, it looks really cool on Grey's anatomy. And then you're in there. The room is cold. You can't wear a sweater. You're standing for hours on end. You can't pee. I need to pee every 5 seconds. It's just, like, it's so cool to watch, but I just would not be able to work well under those conditions, so it's. That's not it. Yeah.

[01:35:53]

Going for the rest of the season. We all know that, like, you know, the audience. Like, one thing that really sucks about being the lead is that you sometimes get judged too much for choices that sometimes don't even feel like your own. Is there any. Any kind of warning you want to give the audience as we continue to watch the season? Just, like, a heads up? It's just, like, when you see this, like, don't necessarily assume that. Does that make sense? Like, do you want to say, yeah, just kind of any disclaimers going, going forward that you worry that we might see something and think one thing when maybe we should think another?

[01:36:29]

I don't think so.

[01:36:30]

Okay. Pretty straightforward.

[01:36:31]

I think things will be pretty straightforward. But again, like, I haven't watched it, so what do I know?

[01:36:37]

Well, you mean you lived it.

[01:36:40]

Yeah, but I don't know how it's going to be.

[01:36:41]

She doesn't know what they're doing, what.

[01:36:43]

It'S going to be portrayed as. I don't have any worries.

[01:36:46]

But what upfront expectations did you have with any of the men that you took to fantasy suites? With?

[01:36:52]

Expectations?

[01:36:53]

Yeah, like, any, like, you know, there's obviously a lot can go down in fantasy suites. Sometimes it's just plain old conversations. Sometimes it's more than that. But, like, often there are, you know, upfront expectations or did you have any before you even went into filming, expectations of what you thought would go down that week?

[01:37:10]

I mean, honestly, like, I was nervous going into that week. Like, who isn't, right? Cause you're like, what is going to come out in these fantasy suites? And, like, for me, intimacy is very proud. So, like, I didn't even really want to talk about, like, whatever was going on in there, but I also viewed that time as a time to talk about things that you can't talk about on camera, like politics, religion, like money, financial wise, job. Like, what do you want to do after this? Are you going to be an influencer or are you going to continue a regular day job? So I really took those moments off camera into talking about things like that because that's when things get real. And I would say I did a pretty good job at kind of laying down the ground and figuring out where these men were really at. Yeah.

[01:37:54]

You're happy with how it went?

[01:37:55]

Yeah, definitely.

[01:37:56]

You're welcome to name names, but you're also welcome not to. But were there any men that you were dating that you thought were more in it for the followers than for.

[01:38:06]

You at any point during dating? During the show? Yeah. Oh, for sure. I think there are little moments or little snippets that people were saying things that I'm like, oh, that doesn't seem like you have my best intentions at heart or like, things about their. That I'm like, okay, you're clearly not in this for this. You know, I think that this environment, you can tell a lot by their job. And, yeah, I definitely had little inklings here and there that I kept at the back of my head.

[01:38:38]

Is there anyone you can mention?

[01:38:40]

Probably not no.

[01:38:41]

Did you know that Spencer is a pet portrait extraordinaire?

[01:38:48]

I did.

[01:38:48]

Do we know what that is?

[01:38:49]

We did. I think what he does is he makes products where you can put your pet's picture on it, which I think is really cool.

[01:39:01]

Okay.

[01:39:01]

Cute.

[01:39:01]

Yeah. Okay.

[01:39:02]

That's definitely not what I thought it was.

[01:39:03]

No.

[01:39:04]

Do you think the next bachelor is amongst your cast of men?

[01:39:09]

I don't know. And that's my answer, is I don't know.

[01:39:12]

I know you don't know, and I know it's not your choice, but do you think, what does Jen think?

[01:39:17]

Jen does not know if there are any men on my season that are, I don't know, standing out. I don't know. I don't know. I think there's definitely some potential for sure.

[01:39:30]

Who's got potential?

[01:39:32]

You might even cannot name names at this moment in time yet.

[01:39:35]

Okay. Respect that.

[01:39:37]

Yeah. I think we're two or early.

[01:39:38]

What were you gonna say, babe?

[01:39:39]

I think I was just gonna say maybe you're with them today, but they would have made a great bachelor possible. Who knows?

[01:39:47]

Who knows?

[01:39:48]

I think I would love to see Devin as the next bachelor. Jonathan. I want Jonathan to be.

[01:39:55]

Of course I like Jonathan for you.

[01:39:57]

Oh, I do too.

[01:39:58]

Okay. All great answers. I think they'd all be great. Yeah.

[01:40:02]

First of all, had absolutely no idea you played lacrosse. Maybe I missed that and, like, a previous. Did you?

[01:40:07]

I don't know if I've talked. I haven't talked about it. No.

[01:40:10]

Yeah. That was kind of like a really cool thing that really seemed to be glossed over.

[01:40:14]

I played lacrosse in high school, and then I played club lacrosse in college as well.

[01:40:17]

It's pretty badass.

[01:40:18]

You were healed.

[01:40:19]

I loved playing with Jonathan.

[01:40:21]

I had the best time that night. I was like, this is absolutely everything I need, and especially in heeless, I was like, I'm gonna show off right now.

[01:40:27]

No. You're like, should we do some drills?

[01:40:29]

He's like, no, no, no.

[01:40:31]

I loved it.

[01:40:32]

I know. It was cute.

[01:40:33]

How do you, if at all, feel misunderstood, like, from the show? Just in general, in life?

[01:40:38]

Like, in life?

[01:40:40]

Um, or have there been comments you've seen since you've been a public figure where you feel like, why do people think this? And that's not who I am.

[01:40:49]

So many. I mean, I think people always just want to put you in a box. And so I get comments like, you're too boring or like, you're too crazy and fun because you want to take shots all the time and all this stuff and it's like I'm a person and I have a lot of layers to me, and I can be fun and crazy, and I can also be really emotional and vulnerable and, like, you're not going to get all of it all at once, but you're going to get it in snippets. And so, yeah, sometimes I do feel misunderstood in that sense. And again, I think going back to the beginning of what we were talking about, like, I think a lot of times I put on this smiley face and I'm so laughy about everything just because that's kind of just my coping mechanism. I think that people never really know what's actually going down. Like, deep down, and they're like, oh, she's so surface level. But in truth, it's just like, I'm just not letting my emotions, like, fully, fully show.

[01:41:40]

And, yeah, I also don't think boring is a negative. Like, we are all boring. You want me to be performing 24/7 right, right.

[01:41:51]

That's how I am.

[01:41:52]

Boring most of the time. That's what you want me to be doing all the time.

[01:41:56]

That's so true. I can't be cracking jokes all the time. I cannot be working day off. Right, right. I mean, like, we're all human and we're all dynamic and we all have our moments and, yeah, I mean, whatever. I don't care about this boring comments anyway because I know I'm not boring and my friends know that.

[01:42:16]

What is the most unboring thing about you? What's the most exciting thing about you?

[01:42:19]

I really like adrenaline. Like, and I like doing adventure. Like, yes, I jumped off a fucking building and I skydove. Like, I will do impulsive things like that all the time. And, I mean, I think that's pretty exciting.

[01:42:32]

I mean, we want to work in the emergency room.

[01:42:34]

Yeah, that's exciting.

[01:42:35]

That's exciting.

[01:42:36]

Yeah, I think. I don't know if you saw it, but we saw Sam. And back to you being on the him laughing now. Don't know if that was, like, maybe misplaced, but was what was funny up there.

[01:42:52]

I think in the moment, he wasn't grasping the situation. I don't think he was fully understanding how upset I was. I think he was just like.

[01:43:01]

But you did give him a rose.

[01:43:03]

I did.

[01:43:04]

Why?

[01:43:05]

By the end of the night, I think what I wanted was to know if there was a little bit more there, like, emotional wise. And he did open up to me about his previous engagement. And in that moment, I took that inch and I said, that's progress.

[01:43:18]

Okay. You can't send everyone home.

[01:43:23]

Yeah.

[01:43:25]

Any fun, like, behind the scenes moments that you wish the audience could have seen that they're just not going to show because it's the bachelor. There's not enough time.

[01:43:33]

I mean, there is a moment in which, after the morning portion of Devon and I's date, we sat down and had, like, a family meal together, and it was just us two. And a dog, like, all of a sudden comes running into the shot, and we were like, is that like, a paid actor like that? There's just, like. It just came at the perfect time. And then after that, another dog came by and then another dog, which I think it was because of all the food, but very, very hilarious moment that I think about, because I'm like, they're never gonna show it. But, like, it was just so perfectly timed that you would think it was, like, tv magic. But no, the owners just weren't around. Stop.

[01:44:13]

Are you a dog person or cat person?

[01:44:14]

Huge dog and cat person. I foster cats all the time. Just because I'm too busy to, like, walk a dog every day. I'm, like, lazy as hell. But I love dogs, too. If somebody was there to take care of them.

[01:44:25]

I got sort of a game. You want to play?

[01:44:27]

Fine.

[01:44:27]

Okay.

[01:44:29]

There's, like, enough about the dogs. Okay? We get it. You hate animals. Okay, we get it.

[01:44:33]

We love dogs.

[01:44:34]

No, you hate them.

[01:44:35]

You hate animals. We get it.

[01:44:36]

Would you like to talk more about dogs?

[01:44:37]

No, it's fine. Tell me this game.

[01:44:41]

I'm the worst. I want to play. What does a life. What does an engage like look like with blank?

[01:44:46]

Engaged life look like with blank?

[01:44:49]

So, like, what in. From what you know, what you've learned about these men, we know you can't tell us if you are engaged or who. Who you would pick, but from what you know, what would an engaged life look like with Marcus?

[01:45:00]

Very adventurous. Okay, yeah.

[01:45:03]

Where would you guys live?

[01:45:04]

Probably Boston.

[01:45:06]

Okay.

[01:45:07]

Yep.

[01:45:07]

That's it. Adventurous in Boston?

[01:45:09]

Yeah.

[01:45:09]

We all have dogs.

[01:45:10]

Yeah.

[01:45:11]

Okay.

[01:45:12]

I feel like he would take care of a dog.

[01:45:15]

He would, yes. I think we'd have dogs, cats, I mean. Yeah. I think he used to live in Boston for a little bit. I used to live in Boston, so Boston seems great. We'd be skydiving every other day, everybody. We'd be doing rock climbing, crazy things like that.

[01:45:31]

What's he doing for work?

[01:45:33]

Yeah.

[01:45:34]

He is in this engaged.

[01:45:36]

In this engaged world. He is an astronaut.

[01:45:40]

He's an astronaut.

[01:45:42]

Get his dreams.

[01:45:43]

I know. He finally fulfills his dreams.

[01:45:45]

What does engaged life look like with Devin?

[01:45:47]

With Devin? Okay. We'd be laughing a lot. We'd maybe be living in California. California, why? His dad lives there, I believe. And, yeah, we'd be in California. We'd be hanging out, laughing a lot. There'd be dogs involved in that one, too.

[01:46:07]

What's he doing for work?

[01:46:08]

He is still doing what he does for work, which is he is, you know, like, shipping. Shipping. Trucking stuff. Trucking stuff. Yes.

[01:46:15]

He would still be doing.

[01:46:17]

Still be trucking. Trucking. And go.

[01:46:22]

What does an engaged life look like with Jonathan?

[01:46:26]

An engaged life with John? We'd be living in San Diego. I love San Diego. We'd be playing lacrosse on the weekend, bringing the kids out. Bringing the kids.

[01:46:36]

Yes, we have kids with Jonathan.

[01:46:38]

We have kids with Joo.

[01:46:40]

And they're so cute.

[01:46:42]

What's one's name? Do we know yet? Jonathan Junior, perhaps? Jjdeheheheheheheheheheheheheheheheheheheheheheheheheheheheheheheheheheheheheheheheheheheheheheheheh. I like that. I can't believe I haven't thought of that.

[01:46:52]

That's cute. Who's our fourth? Who's our fourth?

[01:46:55]

Sam m. She doesn't pick sam m. Spencer.

[01:46:59]

I don't know. Maybe that's just me.

[01:47:01]

Yeah. What does engage life look like? I think spencer's a sleeper for sure. Yeah, spencer's definitely a sleeper.

[01:47:07]

Spencer and I would be living in texas, where he lives, and we'd have a lot of dogs. See, every relationship. There's dogs here. We'd have a lot of dogs because he is a pet portrait entrepreneur, and he would be putting on my seatbelt every time we go on a date. You know, that was. It was just so sweet. He did that house is filled with.

[01:47:26]

Like, framed photos of your dog.

[01:47:28]

Framed photos of our dogs everywhere. I mean, I don't know. I imagine us in a field of grass with a lot of puppies all the time.

[01:47:36]

Okay.

[01:47:37]

Magical.

[01:47:37]

Yeah. Sign me up.

[01:47:39]

Only kids with jonathan.

[01:47:40]

Uh oh.

[01:47:42]

I love that.

[01:47:43]

No, we don't know. We love that.

[01:47:46]

That. Jj.

[01:47:47]

JJ.

[01:47:50]

Who of the men are the most empathetic?

[01:47:53]

Empathetic?

[01:47:54]

Yeah.

[01:47:55]

Jonathan.

[01:47:55]

Jonathan.

[01:47:56]

Yeah. Very empathetic.

[01:47:59]

Who has the shortest temper? Sam M. Any of the men that we're seeing you liked better in person than you liked on tv?

[01:48:12]

Oh, very interesting question. Like, I liked better, like, looks wise.

[01:48:17]

In person, just in general, like you, whether. Yeah, like you just. You have a better memory of them in person than you. John M. John M. Okay.

[01:48:29]

No, we just saw him, this rugby player.

[01:48:33]

Yeah.

[01:48:33]

Yeah. Really?

[01:48:33]

Yeah.

[01:48:34]

Yes.

[01:48:35]

Yes. My man.

[01:48:36]

What? Your man?

[01:48:38]

Well, either. All my men at this point.

[01:48:44]

This must be so challenging for any lead because everything you take, it's like we take a mile with it.

[01:48:51]

What did you like about Jonathan?

[01:48:52]

Like Jonathan or John M? John M. John M. Okay, we know what we. I figured because we've been talking about Jonathan, John M. His personality didn't come out till a little bit later, but he was just like a sweet teddy bear. He was this giant little teddy bear and he was so, so intentional with every conversation we had.

[01:49:11]

A.

[01:49:11]

And he is a very perceptive person and easy to have fun with. Yes.

[01:49:19]

Who is the smartest of the men?

[01:49:21]

The smartest of the men, I have to say. Devin. Devin, yes.

[01:49:27]

Who's the funniest?

[01:49:28]

But I feel like that he's the.

[01:49:29]

Smartest and the funniest.

[01:49:30]

I never said that. The funniest. Jeremy. Really hilarious. Absolutely hilarious. Really? Yes.

[01:49:40]

I love that.

[01:49:41]

Okay.

[01:49:41]

Could not stop laughing with him.

[01:49:43]

Austin, we kind of forget about.

[01:49:45]

But he's so handsome and I think that could. He seems sweet, but he mullet does him well.

[01:49:51]

I like it.

[01:49:51]

The mullet does.

[01:49:52]

The mullet is cute.

[01:49:53]

Yeah. And it needs to bring back his mullet.

[01:49:55]

Oh, you had a mullet?

[01:49:56]

Yeah.

[01:49:57]

Yeah. Interesting.

[01:49:58]

He was forced too.

[01:49:59]

Oh, yeah, I did.

[01:50:01]

Aw.

[01:50:02]

We should bring it back perhaps.

[01:50:04]

Yeah, no, we will. I'm sure. If she asks anything for love, I am simply just amused at this point. You know, whatever you want, I don't care.

[01:50:14]

We love that energy.

[01:50:17]

Yeah. Will you style your fiance?

[01:50:19]

If I had a fiance, whenever that is, perhaps at some point in the future, will I style my fiance? No. I would hope that he could just style himself.

[01:50:28]

Well, I thought I had good style. Then I met Natalie and then I.

[01:50:31]

Was like, oh, well, it's just different style. You know, it was like, still good by like, some people's standards. But then I was like, this is cute.

[01:50:40]

Er, I think a woman knows best. I do agree.

[01:50:42]

Would you like a man who is comfortable enough for you to dress him?

[01:50:46]

Yeah. I mean, you shouldn't be offended if I told you to wear something. I think that's. That's where, like, the toxic masculinity comes in. Where it's like, why are you so resistant? Just put the shirt on. It's not a big deal.

[01:50:56]

I know better anyways.

[01:50:58]

We all know better. Exactly. We're always right, so. Yeah. I mean, I'd like a guy with some style, but, like, you should also listen to me every now and then. That'd be nice.

[01:51:05]

Okay.

[01:51:05]

Yeah.

[01:51:06]

Right now, your front runners appear to be Sam M and Devin, who couldn't be more opposite. What quality are you most attracted to in Sam, and what quality are you.

[01:51:16]

Most attracted to in Devon, in Sam at the moment on the show? I think I like how mysterious it is, and it's like a puzzle. So I'm trying to figure something out with Devin on the show at the moment. We just had our one on one, so I think it's very attractive that we could have that emotional connection and that we could bond on a lot of things. He was able to empathize with me and relate with me, and it was nice to be able to have that depth of a conversation with him. Yeah.

[01:51:49]

Before we let you go, Jen, anything you want to make sure the audience knows or your final thoughts or.

[01:51:55]

I mean, I feel good. You guys feel good.

[01:51:57]

I feel great.

[01:51:57]

I feel good.

[01:51:58]

It's an ending we've never seen before.

[01:52:01]

We've never seen before. It'll be interesting. It'll be very, very interesting. I'm excited to watch it.

[01:52:06]

I think you break up with the ex. I think he's number two.

[01:52:11]

Whoa.

[01:52:11]

You think Matthew is all the way to number two?

[01:52:13]

You didn't even ask what her future life would be.

[01:52:15]

Oh, yeah. What's a future life look like with Matthew? Thank you, Sierra. Thank you so much.

[01:52:21]

Oh, my goodness.

[01:52:23]

Well, if you actually go back three years, I'm sure there's some photos. That's what.

[01:52:28]

Matthew, Matt and I are living in Boston, living in seaport. We're hanging out with his wiener dog. We.

[01:52:35]

With his tiny wiener, playing this wiener dog.

[01:52:39]

We're going to the beach every now and then. He has a house in New Hampshire. Oh, he has a house in Florida. So we're doing all these things.

[01:52:46]

Matthew has money.

[01:52:47]

We're traveling. He paid for his own flight to New Zealand.

[01:52:50]

I missed it.

[01:52:52]

I mean, do we think he got first class?

[01:52:54]

He paid for his own first class flight to New Zealand? Yes.

[01:52:57]

I was about to say. He showed up refreshed, and they're like, you need to go talk to her now. And he wasn't like, can I just brush my teeth? He was like, all right, I'm ready to go.

[01:53:03]

I can confirm he paid for his own flight to New Zealand. He landed right there, and his lips were way more chapped than I've ever seen. And it's not showing his mouth did look dry. I was like, so chapped.

[01:53:13]

Yeah. He knew.

[01:53:13]

I was like, this is how you're going to confess your love? What's up, chaps? Immediately. Yeah. Oh, yeah.

[01:53:22]

I think if she keeps Matthew and she does. I think she. Yeah, I think he goes far.

[01:53:26]

Okay.

[01:53:27]

All right, stay tuned.

[01:53:28]
